She's gorgeous!  And even though there's a lot going on in terms of markings with the limited colour scheme she doesn't look 'busy', spot on!

Arena modship could come with a private army of henchmen and a Batmobile and I wouldn't even be tempted; the mods here are a special kind of champion!  I'd go postal after about three days max...

I don't understand why anyone would feel sorry for her/guilty for using the 'wrong' name/defensive of her; she's not sentient.  It's like feeling sorry for a bedside lamp.

Diamond I'll PM you about the resin, I'm swiftly becoming something of a resin guru (resru?)!

they are all beautiful! i love this idea ^_^ are they too large for earrings? the newborn wings look like the could work...

They're not too large for earrings at all, but you're right, the newborn wings work particularly well:

And this is what a simple pair look like on, very dainty:

I think that the G4 wings will make very good earrings, they're about as 'tall' as the newborn wings so wont stick out too far from the head, but they're much longer so they'll hang really nicely!

EmberBright I will be selling the wings without any attatchments too, or with attatchments designed to fix them onto a pony.  What kind of pony fan would I be without catering to customisers?!  Wings sold without any attatchments will also cost a little less than wings sold as jewellery :)

Thanks so much everybody for the lovely response :) it means a lot!

Midnight I'm not sure what the final price is going to be, but I'm going to be making up my mind over the next couple of days.  Pricing is sooooo hard!

You should make some with the pony's cutie mark in the wing. So like some pink wings with Firefly's symbol, or some yellow ones with Fluttershy's symbol?

Way ahead of you ;)

Do you think you could do the wings without the earring or pendant thing? I think it would be fun to put these on an actual pony.

Yeah that wouldn't be a problem, they're cast without any attatchments.  The unpolished turquoise wings are how they look right out of the mold and the clear wings with bubbles in the second pic are what the wings looks like when they've had the first polish but before the attatchments are added and they have the second polish.  I'd be happy to sell them like this, attatchment free, or with lengths of craft wire set into the resin if that's how you'd wish to attatch them to a pony.

Rambling now!  In short, I'm happy to sell them attatchment free or with an attatchment designed to fix them onto a pony :)

Thanks for the feedback everyone!  It really is greatly appreciated :) if you'd like to be added to the mailing list please post your username in bold, I've just realised that in the first post I said "post here", which sounds like everybody posting comments will be on the list!

i think these would make great friendship necklaces or bracelets! one wing for each friend and when they get together they can fly!

OMG that's such a good idea!  So good... I may have to steal it *swipeyswipe*  I am making pendants out of single wings, like:

So it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to sell matching pair of single wings.  Hmmm.

A while ago I posted about some G1 MLP resin jewellery I'd made and mentioned that I was working on a G4 design, the design is finalised and I have some wings to show off!

These are all going to be for sale in my (currently empty) Etsy shop - 56 Magpies - hopefully very soon.  All I have to do is take decent pics of everything, get all the postage figures and source some really good quality silver chain for the necklaces.

If you'd like to sign up to my mailing list either post your username in bold here or PM me, you can choose to either receive PMs or proper emails, or both if you feel like it  :P  everyone who signs up BEFORE my shop is officially 'open' will be sent a 15% off voucher with the notification of the shop opening that can be used on anything in the shop OR a made-to-order piece.  Don't worry about being spammed, I doubt I'll be sending more than one update a month!

I must apologise for the quality of these pics, my camera's macro is SO RUBBISH and these are taken with the light source directly above them, so I couldn't take pics straight-on as I cast a massive shadow.  Thus they're all at an angle and this makes them look a bit warped  >_<  grrr, but I've got everything I need to make a DIY lightbox so the next pics'll be less wonky!

These wings are destined to be earrings; purple, clear with 'bubble' beads, blue shot with gold (not that you can see the gold in this pic, there's a better one further down), clear shimmery white, unpolished turquoise (when unpolished the resin is opaque, it'll become transparent - like the purple ones, transparent but with deep colour) and bronze.

Pics on top are three of the necklaces; clear, blue shot with gold and shimmery white with 'bubbles' (better pic of that one below), under that is a better shot of the clear with 'bubbles' earrings.

A group shot of all five designs; two adult G1, one baby G1, one newborn G1 and the G4s, all in unpolished turquoise.  I've included an unpolished shot as I think you can see the detail better on it, the polished wings are so shiney it's hard to see what's what!

A better shot of the shimmery pendant with 'bubbles'.  The pic doesn't come close to capturing the extent of the shimmery shimmer-ness!

A shot of some of the clear wings with 'insets'; images set into the resin.

On the left; a better shot of the blue resin shot with gold, from a distance it mainly looks blue (as in the shot taken of these wings at the top) but when you look closely and turn them about the teeny gold flecks catch the light and sparkle beautifully, I'm very proud of this resin blend and I'm definitely going to be making some more like this!  Under this is a shot of pearl pink, clear red and pearl white pendants.  On the right is a few close-ups.

A group shot of all five designs in clear resin with inset stars.  The stars are sparkly!

Hope you like them   any questions or feedback very welcome!

ETA: working with images on the new board is a nightmare!
