I can imagine how frustrating that would be.  It wouldn't be worth the money to buy the entire box of ponies if you only wanted a certain one.  I personally haven't bought ponies in stores in a while.  I liked Friendship is Magic pretty much up until Season 3 with a few select episodes I enjoyed in season 3.  For me personally it went downhill from there.  I can't even watch the show now, because it seems it's post MLP The Movie now with characters I'm not familiar with.  I don't have intentions of watching the movie so I would probably be lost.

FYE had the book in hardcover so I bought it.  It might take me a while to get to where I think I was but there's no rush.

I read the book a loooong time ago and have only seen the (really bad, imo) original mini series, but the big thing I remember about the book was the flight with the turtle. Did you get that far?

Nope but I read online that ITs enemy is a turtle so I know who the turtle is.  I gave the book to someone else but I feel like I should buy it again and read the other half.  After the first half do you remember if the book was any good as a whole?

Yeah the mini series wasn't great but I talked to someone at The Toy Vault when I was buying the It Living Dead Doll (for the mini series) and he mentioned it was only a mini series and not an official movie (made for tv movies or mini series sometimes aren't the best) and it was only in the 90's.  I don't care much for the original either I love the remake (which usually doesn't happen for me it's the opposite).  I feel like despite the basically sucky remake Tim Curry didn't do a bad job for his role.  For me the original movie was worse when the adults were confronting It, especially when they saw his true form.  I hadn't read the book before hand so I didn't know ITs true form is a spider.  Although I did remember reading online that it's not really a spider, but a bunch of different things mixed together and it can only be recognized as a spider.  I know IT is an alien though but prefers having the clown as his appearance.

I've seen both movies.  I had the book and stopped reading it about halfway through because I lost interest.

In the new movie which came out last year, every time It bleeds his blood floats out of him and later in the sewers when the kids are fighting him his blood and pieces of his true form float out of him slowly like there's no gravity.  Also, the kids floating, how does that happen?  I realize the reason why they are floating is because they were afraid when they saw the deadlights and Beverly only hovered after she saw the deadlights, because when she saw them she wasn't afraid of it after standing up to her Dad.

So, how does everything float, including Its blood?  I do realize it emphasizes the phrase "we all float" or "you'll float too" but I just want to know how.

Even theories are OK if nobody knows.

I'm very excited for the second movie, btw.

I remember seeing that on the news and I was excited.  Of course the last time I went to KB Toys was when G3's were still out.

The Dollhouse / Re: Barbie Babies
« on: March 21, 2018, 04:42:02 PM »
When they first came out with Kelly who was Barbie's baby sister I loved that doll.  The original one came with a crib and a couple of extra outfits and she smelled like a baby.  But, any Barbie doll during that time to me looked too old to have a sister that young so I always pretended Kelly was her daughter.  Later on they made a larger Kelly doll, probably about life sized.  I wanted it but never got it.

Some Walmart and Target stores have a section for collector barbies though, mostly for holiday barbies or movie themed barbies like The Hunger Games so that's why I thought to check those stores.  I thought they would be doing the dolls all month long or starting on International Women's Day.

I think the price is normal for collector Barbie dolls sadly.  My parents got me the Tomb Raider one for the movie, but I mostly wanted it because I enjoyed the games (mostly the first one) and it was around $46 or something from amazon.  That wasn't a scalper or someone buying all the dolls cheap from a store then selling it double the price on amazon that's the actual price.

I read somewhere that they actually cancelled the line entirely because of the Freda doll and the family complaining about it.

All the Toys R Us stores are closing sadly and I don't have any near me but it was a good suggestion Ponyfan thanks. :)

The Dollhouse / Barbie Inspiring Women's Collection--Where Are They?
« on: March 20, 2018, 05:18:00 PM »
So I've seen these advertised on TV and on the internet but I've checked Walmart and Target pretty frequently looking where the barbie stuff is and I haven't seen anything.  Are they only being sold on Mattel's website?

I want the Amelia Earhart one and the Bindi Irwin one.

Has anyone seen them in stores?

That's sad.  I didn't see it until just now.  I remember watching that movie about him.  It must be so how to be of sound mind and body but be stuck with that disability.  His mind will be missed.  I'm sorry for his family.

Pony Brag Arena / G3 Sunshimmer, Birthday Present!
« on: March 15, 2018, 11:48:03 AM »
My friend Firefly got this pony for me from a seller on amazon.  I never got her when she was a mail order for the points program.  I managed enough points for Love Wishes and shortly after that they ended the program.  I was late in collecting G3's I guess.  I really wanted the giant Frilly Frocks plush but I didn't get enough points for it in time.  She was in her bag and everything, never opened.

I didn't see this until much later when it was out.  I didn't have it on VHS either.  I have it and Escape from Catrina on DVD.  I think it's my favorite art style as far as the eyes go.  I never understood why Ember never had a Mom.  She would have had to have a Mom to exist because isn't that how baby ponies were made, through the magic mirror?  I guess everyone was her Mom.

As others have mentioned, it really bothered me how we never saw Majesty.  They showed Dream Castle and Spike quite a few times but no Majesty.  That's weird, because that was her home.  She must have just been a comic book thing or something but why make a playset if she never appears on screen?!

The Dollhouse / Wanted: Monster High Signature Abbey
« on: February 27, 2018, 04:13:31 PM »
I am looking for MIB.  I don't care which version it is, whether her boots are showing or not.  I'm not sure what her going rate is right now.  Amazon sellers have her for $89 to $100 or more and as much as I want her I'm not paying that much.

I only want to buy from someone in the U.S. please and can send a check or well concealed cash if someone prefers.

Thanks for reading.  Please feel free to PM me or respond in this thread with offers.

I've always loved unicorns, still do.  I do like how you see more unicorn stuff but the stuff I've seen haven't really been anything that appeals to me.

Pony Corral / Re: Let's talk about G3s!
« on: February 22, 2018, 05:12:44 PM »
I love G3's.  I grew up with G1's so those will always be my favorite but G3's are my second favorite.  They're the reason why I got back into MLP collecting.  I remember to this day hearing the commercial for the Cotton Candy Cafe while I was on the computer.  I heard the song and almost had a whiplash turning around so quickly.  It was very reminiscent of G1 times with the tune.  I wanted some of those ponies I saw in the commercial but at the time I was around 18 or 19 in 2003 so I thought I was way too old for MLP.  I became a closet collector later when I bought G3 Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie who had the charms.  It pretty much grew from there.

G3's were very much like G1's in that they had many different poses and varieties.  I remember seeing them at Toys R Us and they had shelve and shelves of G3's, even covering both sides of an aisle.  I miss those days.  I was born in 1984 and I think I got my first G1's in 1988 or 1989 but I was still young and didn't watch the TV series or movie until later on when I was older.  So, I don't truly remember the G1 days when they were first out because I wasn't born yet.

I saw the Beetlejuice cartoon series at Walmart last weekend if anyone is interested.  I didn't buy it but I wanted to.  It'll probably be sold out next time I go with my luck.
