Pony Corral / Re: Ponies you didn't think would come back to you.

I had my 'Punzie, and wanted to get her for a long time for various sentimental reasons.  I also had to sell her to stay financially afloat, so she passed from my hands to someone else. :(

Fast forward, I knew I always wanted to make a custom Rapunzel and finally found someone that was up to the task and made me my very own unique pony!  I don't have pics, although there are some floating around (I need to find a good space for her where the cats won't destroy her hair :D ).  I also want to give her a special hairdo, so she needs a little more work.  It's not quite the same thing, but there was a reason I wanted Rapunzel and I have her again now.

Pony Corral / Re: To deflock or not to deflock, that is the question

Deflocked Paradise is very pretty.  She's bad enough it's not a question of taking a viable so soft out of the rotation...she'd have a nice new life as a pretty deflocked girl!

Pony Corral / Re: What is your favorite pony color?
« on: September 03, 2022, 07:58:48 AM »
Toss up between blue and purple, but I had to pick blue.  My custom I wanted is a pretty light blue, and so adorable!

Honestly it's the color combinations more than anything.  I don't go for a pony "just because it's xxxxx" more than I like the overall look.  There have been some ponies that looking at specific things I might not like, but as a whole...just spectacular!

OK, there is a fun theme for the next pony convention!  A group of people pull together various ponywear outfits and we can have a fashion show!  And great way to include kids, since there are mom and baby sets. :D

Pony Corral / Re: What adult set from the 90's is the best?
« on: August 31, 2022, 08:37:49 AM »
I was never really a fan of the sweetheart sister body style, so that eliminates those sets.  I was not a fan of really any of the sets, and by the 90s I wasn't actively collecting anymore.  I did get the glow and show set, but was never a huge fan.  I think I do like the tropical most, even though I never had them.  I never had rainbow curl either, and they would most likely be the second choice.  My cousin's daughter had one of the rockin' beat ponies and I just remember thinking that is just looked weird. :D

I don't know...there are so many.  When I look at my ponies all together, there are the ones that just pop out and explode with their fantasticalness while the others seem to fade into the background.  When I look at them individually....each one has such special uniqueness.  It's a weird phenomenon, honestly.  I've noticed that over the years, which was why I did get 99% of my want list at one point.  As new ponies came in and I could hold them in my hand, I wanted more to add to the growing pile of pony goodness.

I of course have my favorites, and I have recently pulled out my childhood ponies to go through.  Even Lemon Drop catches my eye as I pull her out and look her over.   :lovey:

I think that is why I have a hard time picking the ONE pony that is my favorite, because it can change on a daily or even hourly basis, depending on who I have in my hand at the moment.

My ponies are stored in small totes, and thankfully I have them with me now.  The downside of moving, well....I had all my ponies with me once I was married and we had our own house.  Since the divorce, however, some of my pony things are still there.  So far my ex has been OK with my stuff staying there, since it's very out of the way.  I am still trying to make more room at my current house to bring things here, in case he gets a bug up his butt and decides to just fully clean house.

That is a tough on of what to do with your precious things when you have to move, so you just try to do the best you can.  I keep the most precious with me, then just try to get everything else as I can.

Wanted! / Re: Cotton candy cafe for my dear friend of mine

I did find one MIB that I just listed.  I was looking for $30 plus shipping, although there may be some wiggle room.  If you still are looking, let me know.

Nice!  I'll have to look through, since I like seeing the variations but don't have the patience to search for them. :)

I didn't know Moonstone had such varied symbols...

Pony Corral / Re: Dumb things you did to your ponies as a kid
« on: July 11, 2022, 05:49:55 PM »
I have a few of my ponies with hairstyles that have been there for decades.  I wanted Majesty to look like a queen, so I braided parts of her mane and tail and wrapped the rest of the hair...it looks really nice still, but to take the braids out now means she'll have incurable curly hair.  I also left the saddle and bridle on Lemon Drop...OOPS!  We know now that will damage the pony, and my original Lemon Drop has the pink stains on her body.  I also played with Twilight and Firefly in the Waterfall, and now their symbols are almost gone.  I did get replacements for all of them, but I kept the originals, as they are the ones that fell victim to a child's love.    :lovey:

I took much better care of my later ponies, and most of them still look pristine.  Hopefully storage hasn't damaged them, and I need to get them in to look.  I don't play with them anymore, and they have been packed away for years, but the memories are still there and very precious to me.

The rod things are barrettes, and along with the hearts and butterfly clips go to the G3 Styling Ponies.  It looks like there are Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie pieces in there.
