Wait, G1 hooves aren't the date they were made?! :O
I used to be one of those people that also thought G1 ponies were useless and ugly when I first got into MLP back in 2011 when I was 14. For a while, I used to think that Sweetheart Sister ponies where knock-offs! Another one I had was, and I feel really bad for admitting this, I thought G3 ponies were G2 ponies because on My Little Wiki, it states that G2 ponies stopped in europe at around 2002. I live in the US I thought I had something really special with one of my early G3 ponies from 2002.

Those are not Barbies, they are both Disney Rapunzel dolls. The first one is a Hasbro release from after 2015, when the rights switched over from Mattel to Hasbro and the second one is an older Mattel one.
Ah, okay, thank you, good to know. I know very little about barbies, and....admittedly I haven't seen Tangled, either. Been meaning to, but never got around to it. So they weren't recogniseable as Rapunzel to me at the time.

I wanted to start my own barbie collection even though I know very little about barbie, but I'm willing to learn. I bought a bunch of baity looking barbies while thrifting a few days ago to start off my collection and never realised how horrible these two's hair was. One's got hair so frizzed, it's basically like a sponge and the pick I use to brush doll hair won't go though. The other is overly greasy, and dropped a lot of hair when I tried to carefully brush it out. Spoiler Here's the one with sponge-like hair. Yes I'm aware of the fact her arm has been chewed. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginMe trying to part some hair with my fingers And the extremely tangled hair one. I affectionately refer to this one as "Spagehtti-On-A-Fork" because turning her hair the right way looks just like it. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginShould I shave their heads and try to rehair them myself (Maybe with yarn?)?

My McDs Starsong has this too, but on a very large area. It might be just the plastic?
Maybe. I do forget that Mcdonalds ponies seem to be made of a different type of plastic, so maybe it's just a quirk of that kind of plastic they used?

Yeah, I just realised this a little while ago, but my newest Mcdonalds Toola-Roola has some sort of discolouration on her forehead that honestly looks like a bruise. It's under the forehead decal....any idea on what this could be? She's pretty shiny so I couldn't get really good pictures of her up close, but I tried: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login

Went thrifting a few hours away from most thrift stores we go to to some...actually really nice results! Here's some real ponies: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginn some fakies, plus a few normal horse figures: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThe normal G3 pony is a Butterpop! I cleaned her and the two Mc'ds G3 ponies after I took the picture with some dish soap. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginSpeaking of Mcdonalds G3s, this poor Starswirl was found by a dog judging by the bite marks. poor baby, but not much I can do without air dry clay. But, maybe my other Mcdonalds Starswirl will be like a sister for her and help her when she can! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login

I've seen some My Pretty Ponies on ebay before, and while having one would be nice, she does look a bit fragile. Is she actually made of plastic, or is she made of the same vinyl G1s are made of except bigger?

I actually made an account there 2 months ago, so I guess I collect eggs! Still not knowledgeable on which ones are rare or good...I mostly look for funny code names at the moment. Also skywings. I collect those.

Considering my favorite colour is purple, it should be obvious what my favorite pony colour is. However, looking at my collection, it's shown me white in most cases does very well, so white is a close second for me.

I have one pink one, who had an unfortunate haircut+braid job, but I still love her anyway. Her name is Peach-Shine. Totsy ponies are very cool! I just love their expression <3

She's so cute! Do you have a design for the cutie mark?
I do, actually!! I just redesigned her mark and came up with this visitors can't see pics , please register or login

This is Paramountain, a G3 pony I thought I'd want to share visitors can't see pics , please register or login She's my main pony persona character. She's based on my love for company logos, and her colours are based on colour-picked sections of one of the Paramount logos. Paramountain is a big 'ol nerd and loves to gush about her interests, even if the other one she's talking to doesn't seem as interested.

Might I also add, I was never really a huge fan of tinsel hair ponies. I know that they're in every generation, so it's probably not a gimmick at this point, but I think it is....and I find it very hard to brush straight in most cases.

Personally, not a fan of tinsel because I find it REALLY hard to brush straight when washing a dirty pony's hair. I will admit it does look pretty, but to me, the brushing outweighs the cute factor.
