thanks for patience ... anyhow I would agree that maybe it was a coffee or similar dye I think we can use kool-aid to repink the fading pink type hair

she likes to hang with my other browns from macau and italy and all that ...would've loved if her blue/purple was a bit more stand out but I haven't tried to wash out or re-dye her mane or tail

Thank you so much! This is getting interesting. :o two Blue Belles in almost exactly the same body shade. Yours is clearly faded in atleast some aspects judging from the blue stars. Also interesting enough this ones hooves seem quite brown:

Well, there are plenty of things that can stain without being specifically dye.  Maybe Bluebelle took a 'bath' in mom or dad's coffee?  Kids can be very ... creative.

True, true. Coffee makes sense? Though it should be quite a long bath to get this even. But who knows, as you said kids can be creative. Creative enough to somehow break or lose 4/5th of Paradise Estates houses for example and to get house paint on a toy.

I really don't know if she was dyed or faded or not. But I can tell you that I personally really like how she ended up and would be happy to add her to my collection. She's a beautiful colour now no matter how it happened in my opinion.

She is really an interesting color combination! There's so few brown ponies that she stands out in a nice way.

Oohh this is so sweet and interesting to go trough!! Thanks for sharing. (:
Even though I grew up in the early 2000s, this still manages to bring some nostalgia as I can spot some things I had/wanted as a kid on this catalogue and I grew up in a house that had barely changed in thirty years.

MLP Nirvana / Re: Which pony would you like Sanat to leave under your tree?
« on: December 05, 2018, 01:33:07 PM »
I would like a santa that can bring me brazilian North Star and brazilian Truly. But for now I'll need to go with a late santa (also known as my friend) who can mail me a brazilian Starshine, brazilian Minty and brazilian Pretty Parlor with Twinkles! Good enough.

I have one and was told it was dyed... hold on

Sure! Interesting to see. Though would kids know how to dye ponies? Because this seller couldn't even name the pony.

Such a pretty display! Getting that for free is a great refund. And so may rare and pretty ponies you have there, too!
I'm too curious so I need to ask wich Azul Celeste am I seeing among your piggies? Purple or pink star one? (I'm basicaly trying to find every other collector who has purple stars Azul Celeste for what ever reason)

MLP Nirvana / Re: Question about Nirvana Pony Manufacturers
« on: December 04, 2018, 11:52:22 AM »
thank you :) that clears up a lot of questions for me.

i love that the local toy companies had a lot of creative freedom in their designs.  Nirvanas would not be as fun if they were exact copies of the Hong Kong/China releases.

It is almost impossible to keep up with the new discoveries.  I took a break from MLP for a couple of years (I didn't have any budget for ponies and wanted to avoid the temptation to buy). And when i got back into collecting the Venezuelan ponies had appeared.

Its amazing how much there is to find out about toys that were made 25-35 years ago.

Definetly. And apparently new venezuelans (and I think colombians?) still continue to be found! Also two new possibly one of a kind piggies were spotted was it this summer or last summer. All Thailand variations of the Mountain Boys still haven't been found. Probably many south africans still remain lost, who knows are some of them "extinct". Who even knows how long will it be until we have certainly found all pony variants to exist.

MLP Nirvana / Re: How rare is Italian Palomino Cotton Candy?
« on: December 03, 2018, 04:41:40 PM »
If you don't find her soon you can always try to find a baity discolored Italy Cotton Candy to reroot. I think that could be a nice temporary replacement. (Yes, italian pink ponies fade to dirty white..)

Nice finds!  I love the candy babies!

Thanks! Some of them indeed are quite adorable, mainly Licorice.

Something isn't right, but I'm not sure what

The eyes and symbols look the right colour, but the body and hair are all wrong? It could be discolouration, but the light looks funny in the photos too.

Love pkw xxx

No matter what it is, this pony has some crazy story behind it. The tail root seemed quite purple on other pictures, so I assume the hair atleast has been dyed. Nirvanas are more prone to factory errors too, so it's very hard to say. Also perfect discoloration is very rare, so who indeed knows.

It could be discolouration from something airborne.  That would pretty evenly affect all the areas except the roots / base of the tail.  Or maybe she was buried in a sandbox / dirt for a long time?

I used to bury my Playmobil in the sandbox so I could 'discover' them - there's probably a few still out there...

Maybe? And I have seen ponies covered with dirt (or atleast one) and it's not this extreme at all. Wouldn't dirt anyways be more on the surface?
But anyways this could be discoloration yes. How, that's a question.

While I'm no expert on Nirvana releases, that pony looks heavily discoloured to me.  She resembles some of my early dye attempts where I dunked the whole pony, hair and all.  Base of the tail and mane roots look to be closer to a more normal purple?

The tail and mane roots are what makes me suspicious as well. Though even the hooves and inner legs are brown, something much less common on discolored ponies.

her hair does look like it has been dyed... or severely discoloured.

Probably dye. The tail root seems purpleish. It's so hard to say anything with anything when there's so many variants and also no limits to what children can do to their toys.

Her hair looks like its been replaced. :/ Maybe to match her discoloration?

I highly doubt rerooting. The seller can't even name this pony, so how could they know about rerooting. Dye if something.

Don't even ask, I just decided to check how much argies does Argentinas Mercadolibre actualy have. Among odd fat Snuzzles I saw this:

Has this once been all purple or do we have a new (or atleast unlisted on Mylittlewiki) argentinian variant? Listing had pictures of hooves and one had Hasbro 82 and maybe something covered by lighting, others were empty.
For curious argentinian collectors this was 530 pesos and I found it with Mi Pequeno Pony 82 or something like that.
