thank you for the colour suggestions
I guessed it might be a 'best match'!

I've got a 'wisteria' tail in the Pony Spa at the moment (courtesy of wild-found North Star, though she'd like her tail back :) ) and some swatches of darker purple hair so Lilla can have a bit of a tail-trying-on session. She's a bit faded to blue now so she might need a slightly different shade.

Thanks for your reply - she would look pretty spectacular with dark purple hair.

Though I'm not sure why, my gut-feeling is that I'd like to get her hair back to as near as her original colour as possible (odd, as when I do rehairs on more 'regular' ponies I like to change the colours!!)

I've only seen pictures of Lilla, never a complete one in real life - I have a regular Blossom here, would Lilla's hair be a darker shade of purple?

Not worried about her value as she's staying here anyway, she's very pretty.

Hi

Have just found six G1s in the wild (I'm rather excited as haven't found any wild ones for years!).
They are rather grubby to say the least. The tail rust and haircuts I can deal with but some of them have really ingrained dirt on their bodies. I've given them a scrub but they will need more.

What's the latest thinking on how to deal with the dirt? Would appreciate some advice.

For info : The really grubby ponies are North Star (still with salvageable hair so need to be careful around her mane), Posey and Floater who will need rehairing and a Lemon Drop with a black mark on her face.  There's also a Ringlets BnG with a broken mechanism but still lovely hair and Beachball with frizz but they scrubbed up fine. Am thrilled with the find :)

MLP Nirvana / Help with hair colour match for Italian Blossom/Lilla please
« on: November 03, 2018, 01:47:06 AM »
Hi,

I have an Italian Blossom / Lilla who has no hair at all. I would like to rehair her if there is a match for the hair.

Looking at some of the posts on Italian ponies I think she's the 'normal' one - She has a lavender body, now faded to blue, marks on two feet and eleven symbols each side.

Would appreciate some help in how to figure out if there is a hair match for her as she's too lovely a girl not to be restored!

If it helps on the Show Sheen: it is a hair dressing for real-life horses. It is silicon-based.
Personally we don't use it on our native ponies as it makes the mane and tail hair brittle and liable to snap.

Have never used it on MLP so don't know what it does on nylon.

I have Gustavo, the Italian. He's one of my favourite ponies.

My armies seem to have found me -
Posey and Wigwam
 - and lately a bunch of 3 baity Fizzies to go with my actual Fizzy.

They are all ponies I like very much so even if they ain't quite the 'dream army' they are pretty close.

The Poseys and Wigwams live together as a big gang. The three boys are a bit faded so they are different colours and look like brothers. The 6 Posies are a mix - a pink-haired minty one, two 'palomino' sisters with faded white hair, two alt rehairs (one ginger-orange and one rainbow) and a punky one with a haircut. Ginge is the natural leader of the gang. :)

Off Topic / Re: MLP Christmas Tree?

Not a pony-themed tree in so much as having pony decorations - but this year Merry Treats and her gang of Christmas pony 'carol singers' are going to have a scaled-down Christmas crystal-tree of their very own displayed alongside on their shelf  :)
A friend is making it for us at the moment..........

One of my very few G3s - and probably my favourite

I love her (what a surprise given my username :) )

I have two 'baity' ones that are amongst my favourites -
Poser BB is discolouring but he (he's a he here) always makes me smile. He lives on my craft desk with an equally lived-in friend.
The other came with a lovely dark purple body but only a few tufts of frizzy hair. She's been rehaired and looks very glamorous.

For some reason it would feel really odd to have an upgrade.

Pony Corral / Re: How do Brush 'n Grow mechanisms work?

Ah the 80's!

I say they shoulda made Brush n Grow Big Bros. They woulda been called Whiplash, Thrash and Headbanger. Which explains the cricky sounds their necks make.  :P

those would be so cool
....and tattoos for symbols.  :)

I like her very much.

I did have her, but she's now gone to live with a friend who loves her so I need a 'sister'!

One of my favourites.

I have him with factory curls and his hat,
and another who has been rehaired in the same colours but with straight hair and who has a bow-tie
They hang out with Tuneful

Love the customs mlp4me - maybe mine needs a crew.......... :)

The scent is the reason that I will pass on the anniversary rainbow ponies. I am lucky enough to have four of the original rainbows so although it would be lovely to have the new set it's not as if I don't have the ponies at all.

I like to have my ponies on display, and they live in the sitting room. Scents can be funny things  - who knows which, if any, will make someone sneeze until you've actually smelt it!
We usually have fresh flowers on the table so I like to think that my ponies can smell the flowers and that the floral scent changes with the seasons rather than being scented themselves (I'm sure Blossom approves with her being a keen gardener :) )

I rather like the pink boy ponies
Perhaps it's because of Tracks - a train-driving pink pony, what could be more of a selling point to a Dad with a pony-mad young daughter :)?  (or is that just my family........ :) )

And the glorious 80s OTT colour scheme of Fireball

I like Slugger as he is, he looks such a gentle soul with those dark blue eyes.

The pink boy pony I've got a rehair of is Daddy Bright Bouquet - he's now got burgundy hair with a gold streak, he looks fab with his make-over.
