This is so fun. I was just thinking about changing certain colors on ponies today!
Here's two that came to mind immediately, though I can think of many more.

I really don't like Pineapple Paradise's shade of pink with her other colors. I'd much prefer her as green or yellow. I looove the green pineapple! So many (g3s in partcular) are lost chances to make something fun or really push the theme. There really are just too many pink g3s

That hair looks awesome! Did it come already curled? Was that hard to root? She looks so good with it...can't wait to see her finished!
Thanks!! This hair came pre-curled. It's "synatra" fiber, afaik only available from Australia. It's really silky and bouncy, and responds really well to heat. The only time it was difficult to root is occasionally when pulling the strands out, the curls get locked together and if you pull too hard, the curl will loose it's shape. Other than that it was the same as any other pony :+)

today I have a very special finished project to share, this has taken me *years* to get around to finishing, but tonight i finally did it! Or at least, this part of it! Cutie marks are hand-painted with acrylics, and sealed with watered down mogepodge. I'm so proud to have these boys done....I really want to do Leaper and Waddles next!

another update! my needles arrived, so i got right to finishing the hair! Here it is fullrooted, and after cut+style! I sorta cut it a little shorter than I meant to..oops. but i'm still happy with it! It really hard to judge just how much is getting cut, its so full! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginim still fiddling with it, putting it all in place. I haven't done the tail yet because the rump is still drying with paint. Still gotta do the cutie mark. The last thing to come in are the beads for her hair, and I might put some in the tail too.

what an adorable set!!! would love to see more pics!!!! its really funny how on the packaging they're trying to enforce that its a BRIDE pony and a GROOM pony.....but the molds are the exact same, down to the bows on the tails. 1991 Lesbian Pony Wedding, anyone?

I'm sure there were G1s like that too but they aren't arount any more. Except I de-flocked a NSS Twilight before I realised her neck and body don't fit. When she still had her flocking I just hadn't noticed.
I don't doubt g1s had similar flaws too lol! I think it's interesting though, how wonky BF ponies seem much less common than Hasbro's own g4-5 ponies. Seems like companies like BF and HQG1C care more about ponies than their own company. like some sort of sad orphan

blueberry baskets is my favorite pony of all time!! but honestly boysenberry pie is one of The most hideous pony designs out there LOL.... her colors are so garish...
