Hello!

I'm on a creativity rush, and while I'm saving info about my long waited commissions to be finished next month, and I'm working on small but really challenging projects while I slowly work on other people's ponies (I tend to work slow when it's other people's commissions >.<)

This is a guy that started as a G3 project that somebody wanted, but still haven't heard from this person, so I took the liberty of making a tiny g4 version of this guy as practice, since it does have lots of detail >.<

Meet my miniature version of "Ghost", a famous character of the Call of Duty franchise. It's from Modern Warfare 2.

And here's his Ebay link:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160743129364

As you can imagine, hubby is quite happy to see me doing something else than zombies ^^  And of course, it's one of his favorite games (and after the free multiplayer weekend on steam, one of mine, but don't tell him! =P)

This guys meassures 3.5 x 2 inches, including his base.

Everything was handsculpted with apoxie sculpt, painted with acrylics and sealed with sculpey gloss glaze. He goes attached to the base, to avoid that the figure looses it's magic by accident =)

I swear that his is the most complicated custom I've ever done... Making such tiny outfit and details is so challenging and somewhat discouraging from time to time, but in the end, it payed off =)

I hope you like it ^^

Thanks a lot for watching!!
And if you want, you can check my FB page with lots of ponies and art in general =)

Customs / Re: Who is going to the Fair and what would you like to see?
« on: February 20, 2012, 09:52:08 AM »
I wish I could go this year =(  I'm still waiting for a reply from the US Embassy to see if they will grant me a tourist visa, but it's a long process, I'll hear from that on march or april, hopefully, I will be able to go and meet all of you in person =D   I would LOVE to meet all my favorite customizers who will attend!    if not, hopefuly in a couple years I'll be able to go and show my customs in person ^^   Can't wait,  I've already told hubby that he will be there with me... he can't wait for that ( with hopes of good wifi signal in the convention hall!! XD)

In the meantime, I can only wish you all the best of the fairs this year! have lots of fun!

Customs / Bloody Heart - another Zombie pony - Gore Warning =) (on Etsy)

"They call her Bloody Heart. She is very well known among the survivors of the plague. Every pony knows that they have to avoid her sector of the ville if they want to have a chance to live. It is not her looks what is terrifying, there are scarier ponies than her. It's her laugh, and her awful and long scream... it is told that if you hear her laughing, you have to run as fast as you can, she can't run  easily. But if you hear her scream in a close distance, it will freeze your body... you will not be able to move anymore, and she will walk towards you with her scary laugh.

You'll die "

Bloody Rose is another piece for my Zombie Collection this year. She was made with apoxie sculpt and lots and lots of love and acrylic paints =)

She was going to be a merpony a long time ago, but well, right now the zombie ideas are stronger, so I decided to make something special with her ^^
Her back leg bone is sculpted on a wire that was attached to her cut leg.

Of course, this girl, as my other zombies, is not for children or people of any age that still plays with ponies, it has sculpted parts that can break and possibly hurt if exposed (like the wire base ).

I decided to go for etsy from now on for my zombies, but if you're interested on getting her and you don't have an etsy account and would like to purchase her, let me know =)  We can always make it work.

Note:  Even if I love to make Zombies, I am NOT pro-animal violence!  Don't get this wrong!
This is just fantasy themed work, not my personal standing with animals!
Thanks =)

Arts & Crafts Corral / Re: FiM: G1 boxart style
« on: February 12, 2012, 03:50:18 PM »
Gosh! If pony toys return to the G1 kind of variety and cuteness, hasbro will get my money for sure =D
Your G1 boxart version of the newer pony stars in the series is extremely beautiful! I even got that warm heart reaction I had when I looked at my old ponies boxes before opening them! (and of course, before loosing all the boxes =(  )

I'm in love!

Thank you Sugarstar! Yup, I agree, they add an extra weird detail to her already gross look ^^  I'm so happy that you like her!

Customs / Re: How do you ship your customs?
« on: February 12, 2012, 02:53:44 PM »
Well, personally I wouldn't hesitate on shipping my customs as safe as I possibly can.  I'm not sure about blind bags because I don't know them in person ^^  but for customs, even if they're only handpainted and rehaired, to the ones that are highly sculpted, I ship them with extreme care and never in an envelope.  Of course, please consider that I live in Mexico and most shippings are to other countries, and you know that even in the expensive shipping methods they won't treat your packages as orchids or rare flowers...

So the ones that don't have pieces that can be broken, I ship them in sturdy box, like shoe boxes. I place them in zip plastic bags, I tape them to the bottom of the box and then I use lots of plastic bags as filler.

If I have to send highly sculpted ponies, I choose a bigger box, at least a taller one. and what I do is that I also place them in plastic bag (celophan bags or just clear plastic bags that fit the pony's size)  and repeat the process of taping it to the bottom of the box and then start filling with plastic bags.  When I'm not sure if the box will be damaged or not, I use sturdy board to give extra strenght to the box walls =), like using it as an emergency structure that will help the box to resist a big hit (usually in the post office they tell me to ship everything really protected because that small box will be shipped with boxes that might weight 25 kilograms!)   so, if the box gets damaged, the inner structure will protect a bit more the inside of the box. The pony will not move from the bottom of the box and then the plastic bags will help to absorb the hit and if the box gets hit, the plastic will be a soft filling that will not try to steal the pony's personal space... aka: it won't push the pony and hurt the sculpted parts as result of the hit or pressure =)

Sorry for long post, just my detailed 2 cents!!! =D  I'll keep an eye in this post as I might be missing some tips!!!
