:inlove: She is gorgeous!!! That's your first custom?? Please DO make more, she looks as if you have been doing this for ages. How incredibly pretty she is! I absolutely adore the idea with the white at the hooves, and the symbol looks flawless. Her hair is amazing! That is one pretty custom, I am in love! ...and are these eyes sparkling??  :dribble:

Ohhh definitely interested (in her and other ponies... :D ) Preparing a message to you!

They are gorgeous!! And I really enjoyed the pictures - is your Insta public? If so, what's your name there, I would love to see more pictures like that in my feed!

I have a Peachy army, too, but no regular Minty (am actually actively looking for her with a Wanted thread here on the Arena!). I've also yet to see Medley and Firefly (with glitter symbols).

Wanted! / G1 Minty CF

I am looking for a rather basic pony, but to my utter surprise, I haven't seen her at all on eBay or Insta, so I am trying my luck here. I see lots of Snuzzles, Cotton Candy, Blossoms and have an army of Peachys myself, but what I am looking for is: a regular Concave Feet Minty in as good condition as possible (not MOC, I most likely won't be able to afford that). No mane cuts (tail is ok), pen marks (except on the underside of the hooves) or other easily visible spots, please.

I would prefer offers from Europe, ideally Germany, but am willing to buy from the US, as long as the total price including shipping does not exceed 22 Euros so I don't have to pay import taxes on top of it. I prefer PayPal and registered shipping with a tracking number.

---
Also interested in, but not actively looking for, are all other more exotic/nirvana variants of Minty (except: 25 + 35 years anniversaries, FF, Macau Minty), so if you have anything to offer, please let me know - depending on the price, I might be up for it!

Edit - stupid me mixed up Collector's Pose with Concave Feet. Of course I know the difference, doh. Corrected that now :)

Ohh what a fun game! I'd go back to the 80s too and get

- all G1 MLP
- all Care Bear
- Golden Girl
- She-Ra
- a line of flocked animal figures - I knew them as Bärenwald, today they are in stores as Sylvan Families; might be Woodland Creatures?
- Popples
- Jem
- Keypers
- Strawberry Shortcake
- Wuzzles
- Little Twin Stars stationary
- Dream Beauties
-  the colour changing Hot Wheels
- and He-Man's Battlecat!

gemini_pony: Here is another idea to get the funds to obtain a bait, retro or HCG1 pony: You said you have the supplies to customise; I've seen people saying they don't dare to do rehairs or small restorations such as eye & symbol repainting. You could offer to do that for them. Your customer needs to pay for shipping + materials + fee for your work, and you will earn money that way you can re-invest into your collection, including obtaining "real" baits and retros to customise.

Welcome Sonisia!

It's not silly at all that ponies give you positive vibes. They are my happy place, too, and it is the same for many of us! Ponies have the magic to take us back into our childhood a bit, a time that was free of worries and sorrow. Let them carry you through your difficult times!

Pony Corral / Re: What are YOUR favorite G1 ponies?
« on: May 03, 2019, 09:24:48 AM »
The 6 CP ones are my absolute favourites, since they started my whole pony craze. From them, Minty is by far my absolute #1; she was my first pony so she'll always be special. The ones I got after her before my childhood collection grew into a whole stable are special to me, too - Firefly, Medley, Sunbeam. Flutterpony Morning Glory was a gift from my sister, so she is on this list; I got Baby Cotton Candy from my late grandma, so of course she is one of my favourites, too!

Other than that, I am a sucker for the first wave of Twinkle Eyes, Rainbows and TAFs.

Pony Corral / Re: Settle for a flawed pony or save for a mint one?

When I first started, I bought every pony that seemed reasonably priced and did not care about the condition that much. I am pickier now and rather pay a bit more to get a pony in good condition. It doesn't need to be perfect and I haven't gone for any MIB ones (yet), but I don't buy ponies that have pen marks (except on the underside of the hoofs), obvious hair cuts, bite marks and easily visible damage to the symbols or eyes.

That said, I tremendously enjoy rehairing. I still have some ponies left from a bait lot I picked up before I went into collector's hiatus, but I haven't been able to find any decently priced new ones. I will keep looking though!

I don't really know what to do with the rehaired ones to be honest. I've kept them all so far, which is ok because they are all ponies I don't have in better condition, anyways. I have two Up, Up And Aways that both needed rehairing, one is done, the other one not yet, so not sure what I will do with her once she is done, too. Is there even a market for rehaired ponies?

I wasn't aware they will be doing a MLP episode! I watched all the episodes that are available here and enjoyed them a lot. Was wondering if they ever produce more episodes. Especially explaining the history of the toys and what was going on behind the scenes was very fascinating - will be awesome to see this for MLP! I was disappointed that there wasn't an episode covering them, so this is really good news :)

Pony Brag Arena / Re: GRAIL GRAIL GRAIL!!! and questions!? (pic heavy)

I have definitely seen this washer/burlap thing on a pony before, though I cannot remember exactly with which pony. It might have been one of the original 6 CPs, or in a Peachy.

Have also had a hidden tail experience with a Baby Cuddles, and I actually just posted about it on IG the other day! I had a thread about it here, too: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,375814.msg1495790.html#msg1495790

Great job you did on her and especially on the tail! She looks gorgeous
