Where are these people getting their prices and "information"?? Even if it were a complete, mint set of TAF--which it obviously isn't--I don't think it would be worth $700...

She's so cute (NBBE)!! I wouldn't mind adding her to my collection.

I predict Contestant #8 will win the Orange Prize.
And for the nameless orphan pony, I think I would call her Baby Lively.

I didn't know whether to post this in the Pony Corral, the Arts and Crafts Corral, or even the Pony Brag Arena, so I guess the mods can move this if necessary. My sister was cleaning out some fabric and asked if I wanted it. Even though it's G3 and I collect G1, I said that I did. I've been working on this project for a few weeks (not a whole lot of free time with four children), and I'm excited to have finished it. I'll have to get some better photos later. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginThe ribbon reminds me of the G1 ribbons. The buttons and eyelet lace came from another skirt. My sister got the fabric at WalMart when G3 was current (her daughters collected G3), and she gave me some other prints, too. I have lots of pony fabric to play with!!

Sugarcake, especially, is adorable!! As LaW said, though, it's unlikely that I'll end up with either of these babies.

I think her colors and symbol are pretty. I'll pass, though.

I have only one memory of G2 when it was actually current. My mom and I were walking past an aisle of toys, and I spotted the words My Little Pony on some of the packages. I turned to my mom and excitedly told her that ponies were back. She replied, "But they don't look the same. They aren't as cute." And that was the end of it. I don't even remember seeing any more G2s until a few years ago when I got into the collector community. I have a couple now, only because they were in a lot of ponies that I got from CraigsList.

The one pictured is so pretty! That's one of my favorite colors, though, so it's easy for me to like her.

Off Topic.. But, I agree with Taffeta on the NC sundance not being made in Spain. Some So Soft Sundances in the US are no country stamp origin as well. So I think it was when they were going through a transition of country change, and maybe forgot to stamp it?
(I know this this thread has been quiet for a month, but I've been catching up on Arena stuff.) When I saw this statement about SS Sundance, I had to go check the one that I started deflocking a couple or more years ago (and never finished). Just so there is picture evidence: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginI've had this girl since childhood, but I'm pretty sure I didn't get her new. She might have been acquired at a flea market or some such.

I got a few in the same lot about three and a half years ago: two Italian Peachys, Italian Lemon Drop, Italian Sprinkles, and Spanish Hopscotch.
