Yeah, that's the fandom I write for.  Currently using Nanowrimo to finish up the story I'm almost done with so I can get posting it regularly. 

Is anyone else working on Nanowrimo this month?

I'm going to start once I get home tonight.

Managed to hit today's word count with 3 15-minute word sprints.  So far so good.

Yeah, the problem with Walmart's Anime section near me (aside from being small) is that anymore it's all Dragonball, One Piece, and Naruto/Boruto. I know they're "popular" but I don't get the appeal.  And they shelf-sit because people either already have them or people don't like them.  They didn't even carry the last part of Pokemon Black & White in the stores, which I think would have actually sold if only because kids are being introduced to Pokemon daily.  I'm even giving out Pokemon cards for Halloween this year because they're so popular around here.

Anybody else bummed that RightStuf merged with Crunchyroll?  I don't like the monopoly Crunchyroll is making with our Anime options.  I liked comparing prices on different sites, even if it all got sent from the RightStuf warehouse.  There were times it was cheaper to put in the order direct from Funimation or Sentai instead of RightStuf but now I don't know if Crunchyroll is going to do any decent sales.  At least Amazon might still have a cheaper price for some things but they don't carry everything.  I don't like streaming shows because where I live the internet has a tendency to be spotty.  It annoys my parents when they can't get their streaming services to work so adding another one wouldn't help anything at all.

I don't get why so many people don't seem to understand that
Mamoru is basically the guardian/prince of the Earth.  He can use the powers of the Golden Crystal much like Usagi can use the Sliver Crystal.  I think Helios can also use some of the powers of the Golden Crystal, but I think it's more a case of protecting it until Mamoru can use its power on his own.

Again, that's on her, not you.  And if her supervisor knew she was too shy, they could have stepped up and helped her find a safe space to be in instead of giving you nasty looks.  I have friends who are extremely shy and allergic to things.  But they also know that if they don't tell people they're allergic to things they can die.  So they have to make a choice to either be uncomfortable for a 30 second conversation or potentially die.  If her shyness is keeping her from staying alive, it's something she needs to see a therapist about and is still not your fault.

I have little patience for people who use shyness as an excuse.  I was so shy in high school I asked my teachers not to call on me even when I knew the answers because I couldn't speak in front of my classmates.  I saw this as an issue and found a way to work on it.  I chose to take theater classes and forced myself to do the work.  So other people can do the same.  I know it sounds callus but people need to learn to handle their problems instead of waiting for everyone else to magically know how to cater to their every whim.

That's actually part of my trivial complaint.  I was at choir practice last night and one of the ladies brings her kids, which usually isn't an issue, except that one of her children was throwing a holy terror of a tantrum because their "favorite show" was expired and she couldn't watch it again.  Seriously, ten minutes all out bawling over a freaking tv show that wasn't downloaded on her personal tablet anymore.  The kid is probably 8 years old, certainly old enough to entertain herself except that she's clearly been catered to her whole life instead of being forced to handle being uncomfortable for a few minutes.  Pulling out the "when I was your age"--we didn't have personal tablets, shows had commercials, we couldn't 'watch it later' and if we had to be somewhere for a long time, we brought a book or a coloring book and crayons.  I get so sick of listening to kids cry over having to do anything but watch a screen.  That's the true zombie apocalypse: people glued to screens and not capable of thinking of anything for themselves.  And I know some of you are going to throw out that maybe she has anxiety or autism but she doesn't.  They come every week so it isn't like it was a new environment or experience, she was just throwing a temper tantrum at not having her way.  And her mom missed part of rehearsal downloading things to her device for her instead of making her deal with her feel bads and telling her to pick something else to watch.

This is a bit political. Three morons, none of them Swedes, found a loophole in our constitution of the right to free speech and demonstration and burned a bunch of holy books, pissing of an entire region in the world, known for harvesting extreme terorism. The regions are not only mad at the ones who did it (who walks free) but also on us Swedes. We condemn what happened to those books, but due to law it was allowed to happen again and again. Freedom of speech and demonstration were not meant to spread that kind of action and hate, but it did and our politicians are working hard trying to find a way to block that while not stopping our fundamental rights.
Anyway, those actions have now harvested their first death victims, in Belgium of all places. ISIS is taking responsibility for shooting three innocent people, two who died, just for being Swedish. It's madness .

I've often wondered how nice a world we could live in if people would stop intentionally being jerks to each other.  It's not like it's hard to do but some people just can't seem to manage it.

My trivial complaint is that we're supposed to be hiring like 12 people before we open our new building in January.  So between now and January we need to post the jobs, hire people, and train them, all while moving into a new building.  Yesterday, a co-worker asked when we were going to post the jobs because people have been asking us for months.  The director's response was "soon" because she "didn't have the job descriptions ready yet."  Ummm...a committee wrote the job descriptions in August and they were supposedly approved by her already.  So how are we supposed to get quality people if we have to rush the hiring process?  Oh wait, we won't.  They'll be crap just like the last four people she hired because she felt bad for them.  And the rest of us will be told we're bad team members because we will expect them to actually DO the job they're hired to do instead of just doing it for them.   

I'm reasonably sure it's fixed now. Last few times I visited the site it was working and I haven't seen it stop working.

EDIT: And as soon as I post that it stops working again. I think something might be happening when I post because the other two times I though it was fixed it stopped working after I posted.

It does the same to me.  It's a coin toss as to whether it will work or for how long.
