Pony Corral / Re: Toy Fair 2016 is coming!
« on: January 07, 2016, 01:21:23 AM »
I'm excited for Toy Fair but it's not exactly for MLP. I'm not even gonna let myself get excited excited for new characters in the brushables since the likelihood they'll be released in the US is so-so. Everything else that WILL make it to the States I hardly have any interest in. EQG isn't my thing and I've stopped buying the solid minis/blindbags. I'm really only looking forward to whatever whacky set will be the new TRU exclusive.

Pony Corral / Re: Marks on paint/symbols

Thanks for all the info! I'm glad that there's actual potential to get marks off of symbols and other painted areas.

As for the rubbing alcohol: Is there any percentage that works best or that I should avoid using? I've currently got 50% at home.

Pony Corral / Marks on paint/symbols
« on: December 30, 2015, 03:11:36 AM »
So I've got a bit of an issue.... Over the summer I got some G3s at a yard sale. I've finally gotten around to having a hardcore "spa day". These ponies were well-loved and they all have some marks on them, however, the I'm concerned about is a Pretty Patterns Royal Twist. Some of the paint has been smudged, scuffed off entirely around the edges of the hooves and she also has marks on top of her airbrushed details. I can live with missing paint for the time being but what concerns me are the marks on top of her painted details. I've tried a basic soap/water with a gentle scrub but these marks are the stubborn variety. It doesn't look like marker/pen or stains set in the plastic from accessories. It looks like it was transferred onto the pony from some other toy/item she was rubbed against or stored with.

Obviously I'm not going to try acetone and sunfading will just ruin the paint. I'm also worried that magic erasers will be too abrasive.  Is there really any safe way to get marks off of symbols, eyes, and other painted detail while keeping the original pain intact?

i don't think they will be target exclusives, i think target is the only place they've showed up so far.
I just saw them in my local Target today and they don't seem to have "Target Exclusive" stickers on them. No luck at TRU or Walmart but they seem to be getting around!

-I don't actively seek out MOC/MIB figures.

-Save for the Funko Vinyls, not much of a fan of blindbags and solid figures anymore.

-G3/3.5 "baby doll" ponies. So-Soft Newborns or something like that.

Any other pony merchandise. I'm a pony fanatic but I don't exactly feel the need to run out and buy things like lunch boxes, hair brushes, pencils, shirts, ect. I've got some but they were gifts.

Anybody have any idea how common the CMM Breezie packs with Trixie and Buttonbelle have been so far? I just spotted them as well as the Applejack and Flower Wishes Water Cuties at my local Walmart last night. If they've been out in the U.S for a bit this is the first time they've shown up around here.

Pony Corral / Re: 4DE Pony Plushies?
« on: November 20, 2015, 08:19:36 AM »
The plushies are finally shipping? Color me shocked! I was lucky enough to nab a Pinkie from a local comic shop that had her stocked and loved her. I was excited when I heard more were going to be available to order through shops. But after all of this crud that's been going down with these plushies I don't trust 4DE to be perfectly honest. Those plushies are nice but  not "waiting-3-years-just-to-get-them" nice. I'd love to get that Celestia but I have a feeling G4 will be dead and gone by the time they decide to ship out Celestia out at their current rate.

I know you mentioned that you already bought 'em and all but My Target still has a load of 'em too. and this is after they were completely out of stock, too. I have a feeling a lot of 'em may even be shelf-warming well after the holidays, too.

Pony Corral / Re: Is there such a thing as Party Time withOUT regrind??
« on: November 18, 2015, 12:04:07 AM »
In some ways I think I'd rather have a Party Time that already has regrind.  Then at least you aren't always afraid the inevitable will happen and she'll one day get it.

At least the hot pink doesn't show up TOO much on the orange.

I have to agree with this. I got my Party Time post regrind and once I learned what the mysterious spots were I wasn't as bummed out about her being "marked up" especially since it's an issue that effect ALL of them and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

I"m unsure how bright her original color was but mine doesn't seem to have AS many pinkish/yellow blotches on her, even in bright light. It's only a matter of time, though.

I agree as well.  I don't think I could handle having a perfect Party Time.   Every time I looked at her I'd be looking for new regrind to appear rather than appreciating her as she is.  Cloud Puff is like this too, though not as bad I think.  I do have a perfect Cloud Puff (at least she was when I put her in storage last year so who knows if she still is).  I also have one that's entirely pink LOL
Here's hoping she's still perfect!

Now I'm curious. Does Party Time turn completely pink or has her regrind always just been spotty?

That's awesome! Who are some of your favorites?
Soundwave and Wheeljack are my top two favorites.  But I'm also fond of Ultra Magnus, Kup, and Skywarp, and Unicron.

Figure-wise I default to Masterpiece Soundwave but I still love far too many of them to really choose. ^^; I'm really fond of the Unicron Trilogy(Armada/Energon/Cybertron) figures for some reason, though. They're awkward, clunky, and many are riddled with so many gimmicks but I'm still fond of them.

As far as robot toys go, Transformers are really the only ones I collect. and I've got more of those than you can shake a stick at. I've got a little bit of everything from G1's to  movie figures to the Masterpiece figures. I like to try and keep my collection narrowed down to characters I like or at least one representation of a character if they're not a favorite. Sometimes it's hard to resist the temptation since so many of them are cool.

Pony Corral / Re: The dreaded burnout....
« on: November 15, 2015, 07:53:42 PM »
I'm not quite burnt out on ponies yet I feel as though I'm getting there. The lack of new G4 merch that interests me is really starting to hit me. It's gotten to where I'm starting to wonder why I even bother checking out the pony aisles in stores.

I've even switched my focus back over to Transformers because of it.  Even though their distribution seems super poor at least the Transformers toys have a bit of variety. x-x Ponies... not so much anymore.

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Re: Not MLP but almost
« on: October 06, 2015, 04:22:43 PM »
I've seen her all over the place over the last week or so. A few different Walmarts and Target. I really want her. Almost as much as I wanted a Furby as a child. Xp

Also, yes she is produced by Hasbro (She's listed on HTS) but I seriously doubt they are "testing the waters" for G5 cinsidering she's a FurReal Friends. Those have been around for quite a few years now and I dunno how many of  their brands they're willing to doing crossovers with. Also, I doubt Hasbro would test out a new pony generation on such an expensive figure... she costs around $120. Yikes.... DX
