This cutie is sitting pretty on the shelf and you can't even tell she's a custom from far away While it's a bummer to end up with a custom when you were expecting the real thing, at least its a nice one! It would be cool if you could track down the artist!
I'm hoping to find the artist on here so I can thank them for the new cutie !

Baby Liquorice/Licorice has been on my wanted list for quite some time, but never in my price range online  Every time my mother and I go to a pony fair I always tell her to be on the look out for her, but we never have any luck. Last year I taught my mom how to use Craigslist to search for ponies so that she could help me find good deals on any ponies that I needed locally, and she's usually pretty good at be able to see the difference between a fakie and a genuine pony. Lately I haven't had spare time to even look on Craigslist, been pretty busy and I know that my mom would tell me if she found anything on there. So I celebrated Christmas at my mom's house on the 24th, and she had me open one present last for a reason. I shook the box and could tell that there were ponies inside ! I opened the present and on top of some random fakies and G3s that I already owned sat....Baby Liquorice? Or so I thought at first glance. I picked her up and immediately saw that it was a custom Baby Liquorice. Apparently my face showed my slight disappointment because my mom asked me why I wasn't jumping for joy like she thought I would be lol. I told her that the baby wasn't a real one, but a custom made one. My poor mother, she was more heartbroken then I was ! She explained to me how she found the lot on Craigslist and recognized Baby Liquorice amongst all the ponies. She bought it and was saving it for me as a Christmas present. She was so sad lol. But I let her know how much I appreciated the thought and even if Baby Liquorice wasn't genuine, she will still look quite adorable on my shelf Here's the Craigslist ad, my mom was so excited to see a 'Baby Liquorice' hiding with the other ponies lol. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd here's some pictures of my new custom Baby Liquorice visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginShe's actually quite cute, I might not even need a real Baby Liquorice now that I have this precious little thing ! When I first started re-collecting ponies 3 years ago, this was one of the first G1 ponies I came across at a garage sale. Magic Hat has been given a full body of braids ! At first I wasn't so sure how I felt about them and had thought about taking them out, but I've grown to love them I think they're pretty cute, and they make her special visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I'd say give Instagram a try ! I have one and that's where most of my commissions come from. It's pretty easy to become popular on there if you post artwork frequently. And the more followers you get, the better the chances are that you'll find people that will want to commission you (: I find it a lot easier and more convenient than deviantart and I've gotten way more of a response from Instagram. So that's my suggestion on where to start !
