I was just going through my duplicates and wondering why my Lilies had two different poses.

I'm always amazed at the depth of knowledge here at the Arena :)  Thanks for the info!

That's great!  I knew your photos were more consistent than other sites :)  Will definitely stay tuned as other photos get added.

This is a really helpful post :)  And to sort of take this on the photo tangent.  Ivy, when you're doing your photography, are you doing it with consistent (studio?) lighting and same white balance, aperture, focal length, etc?  I'm just asking, because it was a project I was thinking of starting since the photos-submitted-by-multiple-people don't really help ID accessories with only slight color variations.

If you're already keeping track of those things for your photos, and you need more photos from other people, would you mind sharing them so that when people submit photos of accessories they can be consistent?

Like I said, it was a project I was thinking of starting, but I know there are people who've already done a lot of work on this (and why double up? :)), and I know that I don't have nearly the accessory collection that most people here do, but I do know photography and thought that maybe this would be helpful.

Bibsy,

It would be great to have a consistent site such as that, however the colors on monitors vary, so even such a project like that would be challenging... Not to mention I have an extensive accessory collection & color variation, but no artistic photography ability. I wouldn't even know where to start with all of that information.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about monitor difference, but I actually think that matters less than people think. :)

What really matters is the light that people take photos in and their camera settings they use to take photos.  The equipment is minimal, but not everyone has a camera that will work

1. camera that they can adjust settings on
2. tripod (or some way to steady a camera while they shoot down)
3. 2 lamps
4. piece of white paper to shoot against

I'd be happy to start taking photos consistently, but I don't have anywhere to post them, I was thinking of submitting them to MLW.  Also it doesn't solve the problem that I have way fewer accessories than many others here.  If I shared the camera settings that I used to photograph accessories and then people sent me the images of items I don't have for post-processing that could work too.

I'm getting to be more familiar with prices, but I still wouldn't consider myself an expert.  I generally go by what I paid for items, or with lists on other people's sales sites (like http://mlpstarmenagerie.ecrater.com/c/1297082/accessories)

With that caveat, here goes.  These are also all considering that the accessories are in good condition and quoted in US dollars.  If there's some damage, you'll have to knock the prices down :)

It seems like the invitation and "C'est le temps de feter" are the biliginual Canadian version, so I don't know the prices on those.  Standard English ones would be about $2.00-$2.50 each

Birthday Pack accessories: party hats, blindfolds, Pink tails for pin-the-tail game, game itself $2-2.50 each. Party Panties box might be $3-4 in perfect condition.

The white moon comb and ducky comb are fairly common, so they might be $1 each.
If the frog brush is Steamer's (darker aqua) it's probably $8ish.  If it's Ice Crystal's pale aqua one it will be more, but I'm not sure how much more.

The Megan and Ponywear nightgowns should be about $2 each.
I can't really tell from the photos if the shoes are definitely MLP.  It seems like one might be Molly's white one (slightly wider with a "bow") and one might be Megan and Ponywear's Picnic in the park red one with a heart on it.  They will probably be about $3 each.

I haven't really bought "normal" ribbons individually, so I don't really know about their prices, but the yellow one with gold trim looks to be a princess or sparkle pony ribbon, so it would be more, probably $6-7, but as I said, I'm less sure about ribbon prices.

Hope it helps :)

I know I didn't ask the question, but thanks so much for the link Ivy.  I've been trying to get my combs/brushes organized and other online galleries can be confusing when there are only minute shade differences.  A project I was hoping to work on was getting properly white-balanced photos of all the sets of combs together, but it seems like you may have beat me to it :)

Do you know if the one (and variation) that came with the Seashore Pretty Ups are the same as Watercolor Wavedancer's and Watercolor Seashore's.  I thought they were because they are also the same colors as the fish barrettes that come with the set, but I just wanted to check.

Thanks!

Thanks so much.

I'll PM you about the ribbons.  I have a feeling that the lengths were just inconsistent.  I've got some that are long and some that are short.

I've had good luck using a low heat straightening iron.  As ooizza says, I'm always really careful to make sure the hair is very wet (I never use conditioner) and I re-wet the hair each time I do a pass.  I just take small sections and run over it multiple times until I'm happy with how straight it is.

Good luck :)

Sniffles/Snookums and Sandcastle/Shovels also had white necklaces, with purple letters.  The link I pasted below again has photos of all of the necklaces, along with who goes with what :)

White necklace with light pink (sometimes called peach) letters was Baby Heart Throb and original (not FT) Baby Lickety Split.

My Little Wiki has great photos showing the different accessories and IDing the ponies :)

Thanks so much!  Any ideas on the PE accessories?

In completing the accessories for my Paradise Estate, I ended up with extra small accessories.  I'm going to be listing them for trade here, but I'm trying to find a fair value for them and coming up short with old PCs and all-over-the-place ebay prices.  They come up so rarely that I'm having trouble finding accurate values for them.  Any info would be of help.  Thanks!

I have:
3 forks
2 spoons
1 small pink doll comb
1 perfume bottle
2 milk bottles
2 "wine" bottles
2 plates
2 cups

Also, because I'm looking to trade for some BnG accessories and Sundae Best/Candy Cane Pony accessories, if anyone has any idea of value for I luv U barrettes, ice cream cone, and lollipop barrettes, that would be helpful too.  Thanks!
