Mine was Tex!  I actually won him for coming in third place in the Arena Derby on here a few years ago!  I love him!!

I have her!  She's one of my favorites.  I'm in love with her soft, beautiful color scheme.

I have her!  Actually I was just looking at her yesterday!  I for some reason completely blanked on having her (I thought I just had TAF Sundance but turns out I've got both) and I was kind of surprised to see her on my shelf hahahaha

When I was cleaning an eBay lot, there was a Pony Bride (Bridal Beauty, maybe?  I get them mixed up) who had her wedding ring on.  I tucked it in my pocket while I was washing her and promptly forgot about it.  Then I put my pants through the wash and didn't realize it until I was putting them away.  I checked the pocket and it was GONE.  I don't have many G1 accessories so I was really bummed out.  Ages later (I'd basically forgotten about it) my mom found it in the washing machine and was like "is this yours?" I'm glad she knows about all my collections enough to ask if little bits and bobs that may look like cheap plastic to a non collector are actually important!  So thankfully my pony was reunited with her accessory but I felt so bad when I thought I had lost it!

Off Topic / Re: Return of KB Toys?
« on: March 21, 2018, 08:32:00 AM »
I always LOVED KB Toys as a kid so I'm excited to see it making a comeback.  Toys R Us was relatively far away so I only really got to go there when I was visiting my Grandma and Auntie and Uncle so I spent a lot more time at KB Toys since it was right in the local mall (though I loved Toys R Us, too, and going there always felt really special).  Most of my childhood ponies came from KB Toys, as well as Littlest Pet Shop and things like Neopets plushies.  I remember bringing my allowance there and buying Waterfire and thinking she was one of the most beautiful ponies I had ever seen.  I have a lot of good memories of the two KB Toys stores that were near here.  I hope we get one of those pop up shops in our area and also that it is successful enough to become a permanent addition.  I miss having a good toy store in the local mall (there is one but it doesn't carry the kind of things I like, it's mainly board games and such).  Our local mall is on the verge of failing though so I'm not sure many retailers would be wanting to come in though, unfortunately.

Cuuuuuute!  I'll absolutely try to get a couple.  I kind of hope they do blind boxes or bags of these.

I was successful in my Target quest today!!  After multiple visits and lots of searching, I was able to get the three I wanted the most!  I got Minty, Blue Belle, and Blossom!  I almost didn't get Blossom because I originally had planned on choosing 2, but my mom convinced me to splurge and get Blossom too as I'd probably regret leaving her behind  :P  I'm so glad that I FINALLY got my hands on them!

I'm really impressed with how nice they are, the hair is beautiful and I think the plastic has a nice feel as well.  I look forward to seeing what ponies Bridge Direct rolls out in the future!  I'm sooo excited that these weren't just a one off and that there are plans for more.  I'd love to see them do rare ponies like Mountain Boys or even brand new ponies, like that rainbow one from Rescue at Midnight Castle or the Galaxy ponies.  I'll gladly join in the people messaging Bridge Direct and asking for those.  I'd also LOVE it if they did the TAF ponies.  I wouldn't complain about an affordable Night Glider!

Congrats HelloGoodbye. :) I love the 35th anniversary Minty.

Ponyfan

Thanks Ponyfan!  I think the Minty was the one that I was most hoping to find!

No luck at my usual Target again today!  I gave the DCPI number to an employee and she said there weren't any.  So either I missed them or they were never in stock, but the girl seemed to think there weren't any, and since she was doing toy restocks when I asked her she definitely knew what she was talking about!

Thankfully, my dad is checking the Target near him for me tomorrow and then I'm going to the city to see a friend so I'll stop at one of the Targets in the city on the way to see her.  So hopefully either my dad or I will be able to find these ponies!!

No luck at my Target today, but hopefully I'll be going back tomorrow!!  I figured it was worth trying a day early to get the best shot at having a full set to choose from.  I plan on getting one possibly two of them.

My brother goes to school near a BIG Target so I can possibly convince him to check there after his winter break if I continue to strike out at the Target near me.  It seems like he's over there five times a week anyway since half the time when anyone calls him he says he's in Target so surely he'd be able to give me a hand  :P

Yahoo a Target trip is in order!!!  I'm definitely getting at least a couple of these girls (probably not the whole set due to space issues).  This is so exciting, and they look like really good!

Off Topic / Re: Star Wars The Last Jedi
« on: December 30, 2017, 07:09:12 PM »
Spoiler
Personally, I really enjoyed it!  I'm a big Star Wars fan and I thought it was a neat addition to the story.  I will say that I liked The Force Awakens better.  I was very nervous before TFA that I wouldn't like it or that it wouldn't live up to the other movies, but it totally blew me away and I went and saw it like 4 times in theaters.  I LOVED it.  So The Last Jedi wasn't on that level for me, but I totally enjoyed it.  I thought it was very exciting and visually gorgeous (that last battle with the salt!!!  So cool).  Also not gonna lie I loved the Porgs.  I want like 25 toy Porgs now because I'm obsessed lol.  I'm also probably gonna go back and see this at least once or twice more.  I feel like I usually miss some stuff the first time I watch a movie.  There were some little moments I'd love to see again, like the reunion between Luke and R2 where R2 shows the hologram of Leia asking Obi Wan for help.  I thought that bit was great and very touching.

The only thing I really wish we had was a scene showing some remorse from Poe.  I really like his character, but he screwed up a lot in this movie and I wish we got to see some real regret and guilt from him.  I think acknowledging the level of his errors would be very valuable to his character development and since he's one of my favorites, I was hoping he'd have that moment of growth.  I know they "showed" that growth when he told Finn to back off and retreat in the last battle, but it wasn't enough for me.  And I kind of thought the lack of remorse was a little out of character for him because even though he's a hot shot type, he's also been shown to really care about his friends.  I dunno, that was my main complaint.  I didn't mind the casino scene, but I wouldn't have minded if it was a little shorter in order to give some more time for the characterization to Poe via showing him realizing the consequences of his actions.
