I mostly liked her in the cartoon series, though we didn't have the full range, just a couple of video tapes from the local video shop. Our favourites were the Magic Coins and the Quest of the princess ponies, and Return of Tambelon. (Trying to remember if she even appeared in the Quest episode!) But I loved her in Magic Coins. I guess it depends on the episodes-- there were some where she did seem to be there for no particular reason, getting in the way of the plot rather than adding anything to it. To me though, it's sort of like the Neverending Story. You know-- how it was completely magical in your memory, and then you re-watch it as an adult and just can't quite believe how awful it is! and yet the memories are that it was the best thing ever. Even if it the cartoons were terrible, I'd still love them because of the childhood memories.
But if anything bothered me in particular, it was how tall she was drawn in the cartoons! I felt she'd be too heavy to ride a pony that only came up to her elbow. But I was never particularly anti-Megan. In fact I think there's something kinda sweet and innocent about having a bland, perfect-ish character, something nostalgic. I mean ponies were originally aimed at preschoolers and probably younger kids than some other toy lines. I also loved the voice actor,and that she was also Rainbow Brite :
I've never liked the doll of her though (though her outfits are adorable), her face is really weird to me. One day I'll try to find a Lady Lovely-locks doll as a stand-in!

Strange thing is she's an herbivore who serves meat to the other ponies. Taken from her backcard:
"When she wiggled her nose, the bats burst into hot dogs, and the balls turned into bags of french fries! "This is better than a home run!" Slugger cheered, biting into his third hot dog!"

My sister was convinced that the MLP cartoon theme song went 'Willoughby Wonka' instead of 'where will we wander'. Like some mash-up of Jane Austen and Charlie and the chocolate factory  Going back to collecting as an adult, my mum and I were going through some of the old bags of flea-market finds and found a bunch of weird collector-pose ponies with flower symbols in strange colours. Turned out to be international birth-flowers! We didn't know what they were as they weren't on Dream Valley back in the day. All hail the internet

I'mm not a huge fan of brush 'n' grow ponies. Especially the Princess set-- the jewels on the forehead just look awful to me. Also dislike Baby Princess Sparkle. Just something over-the-top gimmicky-girly about them.
Also no interest in Rapunzel (common theme!)

Probably the closest I've come is accessories for mail orders and UK exclusives, like Mommy & Baby's crib, Rollerskate ponies' headphones etc. And my Baby Würfelchen has her accessories. Though I'm not sure they truly count as Nirvanas or not. It's the sort of thing I might one day think about but not a passion.

Discoloration can happen for a multitude of things, sun exposer, dirt, water, regrind, plastic deteriation, fragrance exposure, and so much more! I once saw a clear sparkle baby firefly that had been left on a roof for a year!
Whoooa that's actually quite cool!! I've had a few ponies that appeared super discoloured, but it turned out to be grime on the inside so thick it made the plastic look darker

So I've sold about 8 or 9 ponies to a particular buyer. I'm glad to have her custom, I mean it's great to be moving some ponies and I don't want to put her off by being pushy. She's just taking forever to pay.
The first lot she bought in February, she took so long that ebay wouldn't let me combine the invoices anymore and I had to send her 5 separate invoices to be paid one at a time. The following week she bought another pony, and again didn't pay for over a week. I've had to keep sending reminders asking if she'd mind putting payment through so I could post her items.
First she replied she's pay on Wednesday of the following week. Eventually I think last Friday she did after another reminder. But she didn't pay for all of them-- she'd just won 3 more, and now says she will pay this coming Friday (it's Sunday today).
I mean, I really don't want her to get pissed off and cancel all the orders. She's already cancelled one pony she bid on accidentally. But her order is worth about $75 and it would be pretty dumb to risk losing the sales by offending her.
Should I keep asking to be paid now, or threaten to open a case?? After all she has eventually paid in the past. Is there a chance she could change her mind and want a refund after having paid?
