Nah, there are three baby sea pony molds: sitting on their tail (Lily Drop), lying down with tail curled under (Sea Poppy), and lying down with tail curled up (Bubble Splash).  Each mold also has a unique head sculpt as well. :)

The rearing sea ponies actually do have two molds, although they are very similar. Lilly Drop/Crystal Pearl have a smaller tail fin with three rounded points, and their hair consists of a forelock and three smaller mane sections. Jelly Bee/Sea Foam have a larger tail fin with two sharper points, and their hair consists of a forelock and two larger mane sections. ^.^ Meaning that each wave has four unique babies, and the eight total can be divided into four pairs.

I love what little lore there is for Princess Serena (Aquamarine) and Prickles the little green dragon. :)

Doing a general clean first might help you to assess what further treatments to use. Putting her in very hot or boiled water and scrubbing with dish soap and a soft toothbrush is what I do. Shampooing and conditioning the hair helps too. When the pony is softened from being in the hot water you can try to twist her head off, a lot of twinkle eyes seem to end up with hardened bodies and need warmth before the plastic will loosen up. She may have dirt or rust on the inside of the body that's showing through as dark staining. Once she's had a good all over clean you will be able to see what are permanent stains and what will lift off.

Pony Corral / Re: Is Nightglider doomed to have regrind? (Now with pics)

Agreed, it looks like some kind of chemical contact that is slowly showing through over the years. Perhaps Night Glider got into some childhood mischief and a well-meaning parent cleaned her off with something a bit strong back in the day?  It certainly looks typical of acne cream pale-spot-bleaching. If you were to purchase a replacement pony it would be unlikely to develop the same kind of damage as I've never seen anything like that before.

I don't think I've ever heard of blue ponies having regrind. I thought it was usually warm coloured ponies, like orange/purple/pink? I know that when I hear regrind I usually think of Party Time (orange -> fluorescent pink spots) and Flutter pony Cloud Puff (purple -> fluorescent pink spots or entire body changed colour). The page on mylittlewiki also only lists warmer coloured ponies as being known for it. It's possible that it could be discoloration due to another cause, like acne cream as Marlin said, or pony cancer/age spots. A photograph would be helpful.

I collect Charlie Bears and Jellycat plush toys, mainly the bashful bunnies. I have 2-3 regular Build a Bears and some branded ones - I recently sold off my MLP BAB collection but still have Care Bears and am collecting the Pokemon ones now. I have tons of miscellaneous Pokemon plush, like TOMY and Pokemon Center ones, there's two big storage boxes full of them in my closet. I try to just stick to my collections and not pick up off-brand stuff but there's always one or two that slip through the net... I'm a tragic plush hoarder!! :P

These little guys have finally started showing up in Australia, and I've found Sun Twist, Crystal Pearl and Ocean Gem. If they really are wave 2 I wonder why the first wave has been getting skipped  The movie is still at least six weeks away from getting released here and the movie toys have barely just started being stocked.

I find Peter Pan to be a great read exactly because it's a little morbid and young kids have a keen moral compass. When Peter is cruel or neglectful, or selfish, or puts others in danger, they will cry out "but that's wrong!" :P Rather than pandering to niceness or teaching/preaching to them something they already know, a lot of older fiction will challenge the reader to find their own way or to form an opinion/response by presenting material that they may not be totally ok with. Peter Pan is a magical adventure that lights up the imagination, but it's also a great source for lightly discussing morality and empathy in a way that kids can engage with and think about on their own level.

To be honest, I always thought it was a medicine ball. In gym we used to have ancient leather ones that looked the same, we did all kinds of exercise and weight training with them. Although given the similarities to both volleyball and basketball/netball, perhaps it's meant to be a generic all purpose ball, to match his all-sports personality? :satisfied:

[snip]

Why is it called a medicine ball?

They're weighted to be heavy, like a softer version of a bowling ball, and used commonly in rehabilitation and strength training - for "medicinal" purposes. They're useful for teaching children to increase their capability in lifting weights as they come in a range of sizes and weights - in younger years we used the smaller/lighter balls and worked our way up to the heavier ones in later high school gym classes.

While I was wasting time waiting for the bus I noticed that my local Zing only had three boxes left and decided to have a final punt. I pulled Snuzzle!!!!! So glad I didn't abandon her!

She was the lightest box out of all of them, when I pulled the two Fireflies I was trying to pick heavier boxes thinking they might be chase figures... :P I also got doubles of Sundance and Applejack so I have six extras to move on if anyone is interested.

Tried my luck on another two boxes... got another two Fireflys... >_< worst luck! I love this little girl but I don't need four total. And I can't bring myself to pay the current ebay prices for the chase ponies. I'll have to be happy with my herd of pretty little commons. <3

You could always trade or customize the other three.

Good idea, I've popped them up in my sales thread.

I chose Heart Bright and Star Flight but it was a toughie. The G3 pegasus molds are all so pretty. The extra intricacy and coloration on the big wings pushes these girls to #1 for me, but Star Catcher and Snow'el were calling to me... and every other pony too!
