I'd change
Sunrise Song to a vibrant green
Patch's body to Munchy's body color
Bright Boquet family's body to lavender
Leaper's hair to a darker green
TAF Merriweather's hair to Scrumptious' shade of green
Lickety-Split to that lovely purple color on the show instead of that pale pink
Skippety-Doo's hair to dark purple, I do love that shade of red but not with mint green
Mimic to Hip-Hop's shade of green
Whizzer's hair to her cartoon colors.
Ivy, I am loving some of those tweaks! Blue Milky Way needs to happen, never understood why Hasbro takes celestial ponies and makes them in pinks and reds and pale blues. 
You guys are really stretching the limits of my picture collection - I don't have Sunrise Song loose - so can't do her or Patch - also don't have one sadly. omg, these tweaks are amazing!!!!
I personally would want to see BAby Ribbs in a different color scheme, get rid of that neon hair and replace it with a with a firey orange and change his body to be mauve color to help the brightness of his flaming hair pop. I'd also tweak his symbol to match his new colors. I think that'd be more complimentary to his dragon motif personally.
lol - Can only change one color that's the challenge.  Else it would be too easy.

How would you "tweak" ponies by changing the color of their hair, symbol, or body? (But not all three--that would make things too easy!  )
Tootsie - I'd make her body emerald green (like Hip Hop) instead of pea green.
Gusty--Gurl, what is with those symbols? Purple? Purple? Look at your mane, look at your choices! Let's go with a nice burnt orange to complement your hair.
Sprinkles - I'd make her body blue, like that prototype on the box.
flutter Lily - Her reddish flower symbols look weird on her purple body. Make them white and gold (like Easter lilies) instead.
flutter Morning Glory - Light purple or blue hair instead of chatreuse.
MM Windy - White hair with a dark green stripe to match her tree symbol.

Your years are a bit off since year 1 technically was '83 - But my favorite year of releases would be Year 5 (Which your missing by the way the '87-'88 range) or '87 that year saw the releases of the Big Brothers, Princesses, Newborn Twins, Twice As Fancy and so many other great sets!

I'm confused which one are you asking on - the Black Art Pony - which was released back in 2008 as the first in the series of Art Ponies or the Fair Ponies which 5 of are pictured or the Fish Art Pony or the Pop Art Pony both of who were released later in 2008 if I recall correctly. I kind of sounds like you might be asking about the Pony Project. http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/Category:The_Pony_ProjectBut except for the Junko Mizuno none of those were ever made into toys.
