I live in South Florida and am doing fine. It's a little crazy here. There have been several coronavirus cases in my city and several in the surrounding areas, and on Friday all schools were closed. That puts my boyfriend, a substitute teacher, out of work with no pay :/ He does have a second job, thankfully.
I'm a nanny and my boss called me this morning to say not to come to the house because she had respiratory symptoms; we're pretty sure she's not sick with COVID-19, but we're all being extra careful. As is happening everywhere, large gatherings have been cancelled, and people are panic-buying like a hurricane is coming.

Yes, I totally agree with others here -- I haaaate shopping for jeans and it can get so stressful. I went up a size (trying to lose that weight now) and had to buy new jeans; I tried online shopping in an effort to make the process easier. Hint: don't do that.  It was a mess returning so many pairs of jeans. And I ordered some that were the same brand and size and cut, just a different color, but that for some reason didn't fit, lol. At the moment I've just decided to stick with one brand that I *know* fits my weird shape; I even have a few backup pairs of these jeans.

Don't forget to catch your Pikachu and Eevee with party hats on! Also, I caught a machamp this morning. 
Whoa! I'm liking this event -- there's more of a variety of Pokemon, and even though the hat thing has been overused I like seeing my favorite Pokemon, Eevee, with a little hat. I've had only 1 or 2 Pokemon storage spaces available at times, so I'm "retiring" some of the 'mons I've been keeping since 2016. My sister has Let's Go, Eevee on the Switch and I'm going to send some that I never use but still have an attachment to to a park where they can live happily.

I have an anti-nostalgic feeling when I see 90s fashion trends (and maybe early 2000s? I'm not sure what to call it) making a comeback. It all reminds me of an awkward period in my life, lol. Mom jeans, scrunchies, sparkly eyeshadow, and midriffs everywhere. Maybe I'd be less bitter if I could pull these styles off better, heh.

I voted for Crunch Berry because they redid the Tootsie pose for her and made the head less awkward. She looks really pretty in person (the story of many ponies in my herd). I like Swirly Whirly a lot, but of course she's not underrated. Her pose is unique to her, isn't it? I don't know of any other pony that has it.

One of my field tasks was to get 5 great curveball throws in a row. I managed 4. 
I hate that one! I had the simpler one of making 3 great curveball throws in a row (for the Jirachi quest) and it is *ridiculously frustrating.* 4 in a row is awesome! Good luck on the 5 in a row! I didn't have a chance to participate in the Piplup Community Day, but I also caught a few shinies recently, the weirdest being shiny Alolan Vulpix (hatched). I say weird because it doesn't look any different from the non-shiny version. I have to look at them *really* hard to tell them apart, and then too I think I only see the difference because I want to see it. I haven't even noticed it's a shiny until I was browsing my Pokémon storage and noticed the shiny icon there 
 I wish we lived close enough to trade; I've been obsessing about shiny Alolan Vulpix way too much, lol. You're right; it's really hard to tell the difference between the shiny and the regular! Speaking of Vulpix, for the recent voting event I tried to vote for a Vulpix community day, which would have included Alolan Vulpix, but the votes went to Rhyhorn instead.  I think Rhyhorn's evolutions are better Pokemon for battling, but I don't care as much about that as I do one of my favorite Pokemon. Still, maybe some day they'll do Vulpix! The short Minccino event this past Sunday was fun. Such an adorable Pokemon. I played with my sister and we caught a bunch. The first one I encountered puzzled me for a split second. "it's . . . pink?" I quickly realized it was an adorable shiny Minccino  I know so little about this new generation that I had no idea what its shiny looked like. I'm constantly being surprised by unfamiliar Pokemon.

I caught a shiny Piplup for Community Day! My sister caught 3, but lately I've been running low on space and am happy to have just 1. Overall it was a great CD -- we walked around the mall and found tons and tons of Piplup, plus some of the newer Unova Pokemon (like Venipede, Karrablast, and Tympoule; I also hatched a Trubbish? which looks like a trash bag, so random). How was everyone else's Community Day? Also, does anyone else feel a little out of the loop? I don't know the Pokemon of Gen 5 except for the starters, and I don't know who's available or how to get certain Pokemon (especially when special evolutions are needed) or which Pokemon are strongest. I also seem to have some glitches with the buddy system.

Aww, poor Duchess! That description is really funny. This reminds me -- I had a family of red GC horses as a kid (though not *that* red). I wondered why the company had made red horses since I knew even at age 7 that horses could only get reddish brown at best. You can't see it in this old photo but the father horse actually has a red nose (on the white part of his nose); I named him Rudolph. Maybe I should buy a Duchess to add to my red horse collection. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I agree about Yum Yum -- when you see her in person she's cute. I fell in love when I did. Her color scheme is quirky but it works.

Yeah, I think my Adventure Sync has been on the fritz, too. I'm trying to walk Litwick but am not getting much distance at all lately.
My sister and I added you as a friend, Sora! We're Shiorihitohana and PinkNinjaKitty in the game.
I'm honestly still in holiday mode and hardly know what events are coming up, what features are in the game atm, etc. Buddy Mode doesn't work very well for my phone but my sister and I played around with it. I did hatch a Riolu the other day!! That was a long time in coming.

. . . or, "first world pony problems." I've been collecting for about 20 years now, or longer depending on when you start counting, and that's given me time to have nearly completed my collection. It makes me very happy to look at my display case and to remember the stories of finding each one, and how nice it is to have certain ponies after wanting them for years. I love them and feel really lucky to have the ponies I do.
The problem is (and I know this sounds really spoiled), pretty soon, there won't be any ponies left that I want. I enjoy buying HQGIC ponies and other customs, so there is that. But as far as original G1 Hasbro ponies, my pony wish list is down to about 10 ponies (!) and some animals/accessories (mostly the princess dragons). If I can actually find those last ponies, I will technically stop collecting, which is really weird for me after collecting most of my life!
I can't really complain, but I feel a little sad about it, and directionless? (lol, this is why I said this is a first world pony problem). I know there must be other collectors on here in the same boat or similar boats. What did you do when you completed your collection?

Pokeyonekenobie, my sister plays Pokemon Go and just sent you a friend request! Her username will be Shiorihitohana. I just caught a shiny Eevee with a flower! Not sure if I want to keep it Eevee or evolve it...
Wow, that's so cool, and rare! Personally I'd keep it an Eevee because it's such a cute shiny. I caught a Litwick the other day, which isn't really rare, but I think it's cute On a side note, my Pokemon box is getting super full now and I don't necessarily want to buy more storage.
