Ah, so pretty. It reminds me in ways of the museum display with Wondermint's collection in Dudley a year or two ago - with all the ponies actually playing, not just standing around.
Hmm... I find it reminds me of that awesome Dudley exhibit as well! I really enjoy how unlike most pony rooms, each character gets to show off their personality (based on their symbol) rather than just being stacked onto a shelf.

As I've stated before in my three years on this forum, I'm no fan of the regular G4 moulds - yet I don't necessarily dislike them. These figures are essentially what happen when designers are pushed so far to make their toys 'cartoony' that it teeters on the edge on the dreaded uncanny valley - at least G3.5's were cute, if anatomically incorrect.
Also, Celestia, what exactly happened to your neck (she sorta reminds me of an ugly Creamsicle)?

Fascinating stuff, especially those Furbobs - they are conspicuously misshapen but hold a certain charm. I also question why the Flutter Hideaway was denied being put into production - did Hasbro think that their wings would break on the doorframe? Did Hasbro plan for another year of Flutters but discontinued them abruptly, rendering the Flutter Hideaway pointless? Will we ever discover the truth behind it?

I'm another in the yellow club. Yellow with pink, green or blue hits the sweet spot of appeal for me - this explains why Masquerade and Baby Sugarcake have taken up residence in my signature .

Hmm, I've seen the Surprise Twins pony without her babies go for up to $80 alone. With the twins (man, those suckers can be hard to find!) included, that heightens her price.
The Bed and Crib set, being the last G1 playset, is not particularly easy to find, and can fetch up to $100-150. However, missing several of the accessories can again, lower the price.
The combination of pony and playset together can go for at least $150, maybe more if one is lucky or a bidder is willing to go higher. I wish you good luck with your selling - I myself would find it difficult to part with such a rare pony/ies and playset.

I sympathize with you, Ember. Pony dreams can be quite the tantalizing material. I once had a dream where I found a TE MOONSTONE and GLORY (yes, really), as well as the 'Fairy Brights' (the unmade 'celestial ponies') in a huge tub of G1s at a random thrift store. I think there was a pearlized set of adult sea ponies (the second set, including Sea Mist, who I think had tinsel in her mane). Sadly, I woke up just as I was about to head off to the Snoqualmie Pony Fair (I don't know how I dreamt that up) to flaunt my new collection of 200...
Ah, pony dreams. You gotta love 'em.

There's actually an MLP version of Pokémon. Or rather, there are two versions: Ponymon Dusk/Dawn and Ponymon Anarchy. Both are great games, but alas, they are G4-centered. I've actually been thinking the same thing for years - a G1 MLP Pokémon game. I got so close to doing it - I downloaded Advance Map to hack the names of the locations on a Pokémon LeafGreen ROM and wrote a list of 200 'Ponymon' (some of which were not ponies) to feature in the game (it was based around the G1 TV show, I believe - I remember you could choose Fizzy, Gingerbread or Whizzer as your starter Ponymon). Sadly, when I tried to download the software necessary for adding, modifying and drawing the sprites for new Pokémon, it crashed my computer, which was broken for months afterwards . If there's anyone with the correct technical expertise out there, I'd say ask them to see if they can try to do it. Although I'd really prefer for it to be a PC/console game rather than a mobile application - I am not too big on the modern 'phones', to be honest. But really, I'd request it to Hasbro! Maybe they can partner with Nintendo to create the game of our dreams.

Happy that Concerned Pony has had a baby, perhaps now she will be less concerned. Yet I really want them! Some fakies are just so delightfully weird.

Ah, gotta love the treasure trove of rare, unusual G1 memorabilia that is (or rather, was, I guess) the Delaney's stuff. Honestly though, I remember seeing that Cherries Jubilee as a new listing and debating whether or not to bid on it. Either way, glad it went with Roogna to join her Bow Tie, Cotton Candy and Trickles!

Gingerbread. Honestly though, while I love her colour scheme and her cartoon counterpart is too damn adorable, every single time I find what appears to be a decent one, she has some form of regrind or discoloration - I understand this is because she is white and all, but why is it her and not so much, say, Quackers? Also, Baby Lickety Split (her BBE form, I actually don't find them that unnerving). I've searched pages, but most of them have broken eyes, faded/hair/rough manes/tails, regrind, pony cancer, discoloration, age spots, bite marks and on one occasion, I think a missing leg. And the ones I've found that are at least decent I pass up for some reason...

Hmm... to be honest, I'd most like to see you do Gingerbread, please. There just aren't enough adoptables of her around!

Really, Hasbro should have just reissued a bigger, more detailed Dream Castle - it keeps more in the line of 'fantasy world' (magical coloured horses in a high fantasy setting really should not live in a house) and maybe then the resolution of Dream Castle's plight in the movie wouldn't have seemed so ridiculous. Maybe have the Moochick conjure up a bigger and better version of Dream Castle instead of Paradise Estate - that would actually warrant Magic Star giving away the original Dream Castle to the Grundles - it's like saying "We, a large family of fifteen, are going to give our mansion away to five homeless wanderers to move into our new apartment". Perfectly logical, huh?

Today, 30 years ago, a milestone in MLP history occurred: the franchise's first (and so far only major) foray into theatrical film: the G1 movie (love it, hate it or find it forgettable, you cannot really deny its importance).
And as for myself... eh.
I mean, it's a technically beautiful movie animation-wise (the movements are fluid and the animators are clearly skilled at their craft), but the biggest weight dragging the film down was probably its horrendous pacing, where essentially nothing happens for the first 45 or so minutes, then we reach the final half-hour when George Arthur Bloom and Michael Joens suddenly decided that the film should be an adventure/quest, resulting in an uneven final product (lacking a clearly defined central protagonist as well).
Also, way too much time was devoted to the witches in the first half of the film - yet they have maybe 2 short scenes in the second half. Although a lot of the witches' dialogue is kinda funny, I do feel some scenes should have been cut out from the final product - but then again, if you have to cobble together an 85-minute animated film in only three or four months, this is to be expected. On the other hand - the Grundles suffered from being given way too little to do - you've spent a sizeable amount of your budget on hiring Danny DeVito, do something with him! Other than giving him a small role in the second half of the film uttering a few lines of broken English.
However, the songs were decent, the Shadow Forest scene was awesome, and I could tolerate Baby Lickety-Split. Yes, I really mean it. At least she doesn't speak in broken English in the film. Now try to get that nightmare out of your head...

Also, could you decorate her body with the swirls she has in the reference? Baby:Pony Name: Baby Swirly Pony Species (eg unicorn, Pegasus...): Unicorn Pony Gender: Female Pony Reference: See above Eye Gem Colour: Pink Anything you want to add: I know she's an earth pony in real life, but could you give her a unicorn horn (appropriately sized for a baby like her) to match her mother's? Thank you.

Haven't got her yet but will someday. My favorite versions of her are the original, the French and the South African ones. I also am a fan of her prototype - albeit the actual Bubbles is far more unique in terms of her pose and colour scheme.
