Pony Corral / Re: Looking for some opinions...« on: February 16, 2014, 03:50:07 PM »
I think it's a good idea! You'll get the characters you want, with all the details just how you want them. I bet you'll have fun making them too I would love to see pics if you do decide to go ahead with customising.
As for the body types, you should just go with what you like. I personally would keep their body types the same as the original character but it would be more time consuming to repaint them the correct colours. Plus,as you said, different body types will add more variety. 48
Pony Corral / Re: My Little Pony: Friendship Gardens CD-ROM discussion!« on: February 16, 2014, 03:38:51 PM »
I have this from when I was little. I remember playing it all the time and I loved baking and decorating the cakes and growing food in the field. (Although growing cupcakes and pizza is totally unrealistic ) I still replay this game on odd occasions because it makes me so happy haha. Only thing I don't like is that blasted butterfly "You need to move your pony out of the way!" every time you try to set out a jump, even if it's nowhere near the pony!
I had (well, still do) the G3 Best Friends Ball game too but I much preferred Friendship Gardens. 49
Pony Corral / Re: G4 for atleast 5 more years!« on: February 15, 2014, 08:29:18 AM »
Do we actually know if it is G4 lasting another 5 years or just the MLP line in general? 10 seasons and 9 years of mane 6 rehashes seems a little excessive... as much as I love G4,I don't think there will be 247 original episodes (if we assume each season other than season 3 is 26 episodes) and I doubt the mane 6 being released with a different accessory is going to keep increasing Hasbro's sales.

I'm really hoping that the Firefly pictured is correct (doubt it though ) because if it is then I would love it,but I'm going to hold out ordering until we actually know what this Firefly is like

Pony Corral / Re: Why exactly are pony tails fizzy?« on: February 09, 2014, 12:29:55 PM »
Yeah,I think Hasbro just changed the material in the new ponies. I got a Sunset Shimmer with a really dry tail and I tried conditioner too but it didn't work I ended up buying another when they went on sale but hers isn't that much better.
At least it's not as bad as the tail on one of my Rainbow Dash's (the one that came with Princess Twilight),it was like this literally out of the box ._. I've tried trimming it slightly, washing with water and conditioner and although it lies flat and mostly straight now,it is completely fizzy and not silky at all visitors can't see pics , please register or login 52

I had wondered why Pinkie was on The Entertainer's website...
Do the released G1's from a few years ago come under the anniversary stuff? I wasn't a collector then but would quite like these... 54

I wish it came with an additional gift, but maybe they will release a more 'deluxe' expensive egg with something additional - we can hope right I'll probably still buy this one anyway

Those are cute! I like the Princess Sparkle shirt. Not sure if they still have it but I found a shirt in Primark a couple of months ago with Glory on and it said Glory Days

Pony Corral / Re: Question about miniature sets?« on: January 05, 2014, 06:50:22 PM »I'm so tempted to go on a trip to the US when I'm older and buy tons of pony exclusives, that's not crazy right . I think it's only now starting to be found in America but I think it will come out here because it's advertised in the MLP booklet which comes with the brushables and the other two sets advertised (Groovin Hooves and Pony Lesson) have been released. 58

I asked for Minty too - I know it won't happen but she would be so adorable.

Pony Corral / Re: Question about miniature sets?« on: January 05, 2014, 06:42:29 AM »Sadly we currently have Virgin Media (though my mum is speaking of switching to Sky), but I'll keep that in mind ^^ The speeding up is due to the differences in NTSC and PAL (not sure what they are, but usually companies take time to change things to fit PAL better. Hasbro, obviously, couldn't be bothered). Wow,that was heartbreaking to read. It was similar for me with Asda,at one point they had tons (plus Toys R Us didn't stock ponies when I first started collecting,so there wasn't much to compete with and The Entertainer had practically nothing) like the Crystal Empire brushables, fashion styles (Luna included),Walkin' Talkin' Pinkie Pie (unfortunately),loads of blind bags, miniatures sets...they really were the place to go. But now they have nothing. Admittedly, the last time I went to my local one was the week before Christmas but all they had was one Crystal Motion Pinkie and one miniature set. Of course there were loads of Celestia Equestria Girls though I don't go Tesco that often but they haven't really seemed to stock anything much, except that crystal rainbow blind bag thing. Had a slight breakthrough merch wise today, was at Smyths and got Funrise Fluttershy and found Pinkie,Twi and Dash too (only one of each though, and they were all chucked at the back squished by other soft toys on the bottom shelf ) and they had Fantastic Flutters,Pinkie's Helicopter and Flip and Whirl Rainbow Dash. Nothing I'm interested in but at least pretty up to date with the States. The Zoom and Go ponies and Styling Strands Fluttershy should be in stock next month which isn't too bad either. I'm so tempted to go on a trip to the US when I'm older and buy tons of pony exclusives, that's not crazy right . 60
Pony Corral / Re: Question about miniature sets?« on: January 04, 2014, 07:09:51 PM »Sadly not, my sister is more into Moshi Monsters than anything else. Oddly, none of us (I have two younger sisters) ever really had a "horsey" phase as kids (I do have a handful of fakies from a magazine but I had a lot of other animal toys, too). I kind of want to make my sister watch FiM to see what she thinks of it, but I have no idea which TV channel it airs on, if it even has, and I'm refusing to buy the DVDs until we get a proper full season release (it's been what, three years since it came out? Geez, Hasbro.) MLP airs on Tiny Pop which is 617 if your on Sky, they have a plus channel too. They aired season 3 on repeat FOREVER but they are repeating the first half of season two at the moment. It's alright but I think they've changed the pitch as some pieces sound really high and other bits (like the songs) seem sped up to me. Oh, that would be so cute! A little Spike should come with the library and tiny books, that would be so sweet. Post Merge: January 04, 2014, 07:26:15 PM I agree with those UK people. The toy selection at Tesco's is small and it's just the rainbow glitter set, the Famous Friends thing, a few of the Masquerade ponies wave 2 (Applejack and Fluttershy only) and one half of wave 8 blind bag. Even worse, the stuff here is MORE expensive then back home in America. Sounds better than my Tesco, last time I went (a couple of weeks ago),all they had was an Equestria Girls Fluttershy and a few wave 8's - and it's a Tesco Extra! |
