Pony Corral / Re: Your least favourite Earth Pony Pose - POLL

I voted Crumpet too.  There's nothing wrong with the pose itself, but if the pony's legs get a little bent it has trouble standing.  I have  a couple Crumpet pose ponies that look like they've been in the rum with as much as they're leaning.

I felt that these ponies were festive:

I think Up, Up, and Away could be Pinkie Pie's grandmother.  They both have balloon cutie marks, pink bodies, pink hair, and blue eyes.

How about a picture of a pony with styled long hair?

I have her and mine has also faded to nearly white.  What causes her to fade so much?  Light? Age? Type of plastic used or purple pigment?

Pony Corral / My first sun fading attempt. Advice appreciated!
« on: March 16, 2013, 02:57:29 PM »
I recently received a grubby Princess Tiffany in a pony lot I purchased.  I got all the tangles out of her hair and she cleaned up better than I expected, except she has some ink stains on her body that I couldn't get out using a magic eraser.

I think I have her all ready for sun fading in my windowsill.  I have the colored gems on her symbols, her eyes, and her blush protected with sharpie colored on top of saran wrap.

Do I need to protect the silver on her symbol or her hair since it is already white?  Please let me know if there is anything I'm doing wrong.

Since she kind of creeped me out with no eyes and I didn't want to freak out the neighbors, I made her some temporary paper eyes.  Much better...right?

That was really cute.  I was a bit nervous for Steamer though when he decided to act like a bridge.

I found my childhood one in storage about a month ago.  Got her all cleaned up and now she has me collecting more ponies.   :P

My favorite would be strawberries.  They go great by themselves or even better in strawberry shortcake.

Pony Corral / G3 Pony Eye Symbols
« on: March 02, 2013, 08:04:34 AM »
I recently purchased a few generation 3 ponies and I think Waterfire is my favorite so far.  I noticed my other g3 ponies have a small heart, star, or round dot in their eyes, but Waterfire has a little flame.  Is she unique or are there any other g3 ponies with an eye symbol that is not a heart, star, or dot?

EDIT:  Oops, I accidently put this in the wrong forum.  Could a mod please move this to the Pony Corral?

Nothing fancy here, but it's fun to play around with different techniques.  Pinkie was an experiment with straws + bobby pins.

Introductions / Hi everyone
« on: February 13, 2013, 11:03:41 AM »
Hello!  I've been collecting some of the new brushable ponies for fun.  Then I recently found a few of my old  ponies I had as a kid from the early 80's (Moondancer, baby Cotton Candy).  It's amazing big the older ponies are compared to the new ones.  The new ones are about the same size as the old babies!
