Pony Corral / Re: POTD 9/10/2015 Firefly
« on: September 11, 2015, 12:32:18 PM »
Ahh! Firefly was my first Pegasus & one of the first few ponies I received as a child...she may have been the second as it seemed as if I'd always had her. Still have the ol' girl! I think that's responsible for this becoming one of my fav poses & I wish it had been used more.

Coolbeans! Egg cartons can have so many uses outside of toting henfruit!

I love seeing ponies all lined up together like that; they look like they're going on a nifty field trip in a Sea-Pony bus!

Awww, we used to do Bugs Bunny shaped cakes when I was little in pans like those! Those sugar toppers always call to me...I know I would just end up eating them right out of the package though--Sorry, Pinkie, I eat enough junk food as it is.

OT: My mom & I LOVE Bulk Barn; all the bulk places nearby closed but we saw one over in Sarnia when we went out to eat last fall (can't get any good sushi here either) & we went nuts over it! All our bulk needs met w/ a quick trip across the river! And honestly they're better than any of the bulk places we ever had in town. Squee!

My parents gifted me with the entire set of MOs when I was a kid. My Twinkler was 'leader' of the Sparkle Ponies 'cause she's all purple (I love mono-hued ponies), has all the tinsel colors, & is a pegasus! When I was little you couldn't get much more awesome, pony-wise!

Yeah, I thought the prices were quite reasonable considering it was TRU. As for the actual blind bags, I've never paid much attention to them in stores as I buy the cases online, but $3.49 wouldn't surprise me at TRU.

- but whew, $10 for a blind bag and tiny accessory! That is a lot...

Holy smoke! At TRU the individual ponies are $2.99 and the little sets (Big Mac & cart, the sets w/ foals) were $4.99! I have seen a pic online of the largest set, w/ the barn, on the shelf at TRU & it was tagged $19.99. I didn't even look at online prices as I am more than willing to wait until they show up locally; I was actually quite surprised my store had so many this soon.

Has anyone gotten these in hand yet? I thought I saw a new thread a few days ago but haven't found it. Sorry if I zombified the thread. I picked up all of the individuals & 2 of the little sets today at my local TRU. I realize BBs aren't everyone's thing but these little doobers are nifty!

And it answered some important questions I had:
Do the clothes come off? Yes, even the plates from AB & Bab's heads! (Flam looks ridiculous naked  :P) The molds don't need their clothes to look 'normal' though.
Is the rest of Applejack under that comforter? Yes, the bed, blankets, & AJ are 3 separate pieces & AJ is very cute!
Why does Uncle Apple Strudel wear lederhosen? Poor guy's a blank flank! (Seriously he's one of my new favs though, very unique knobby-kneed pony under the rubber clothes)

I read about this last night after I got home from work (technically this morning) & went to bed bummed. He was not my favorite Hollywood composer but always right up there & so, so prolific. RIP, sir, & may your music sweeten our hearts forever!

Ahhhh! She's standing on the reins!  :scared:
Had a real horse moment there when I first saw the pic.  That is one gorgeously white fuzzer! :P

Pony Corral / Re: So, what does a pirate Pony DO?
« on: April 23, 2015, 11:04:00 AM »
I've pictured Barnacle being a deep diver and salvager, blundering wrecks for anything of value.  He doesn't attack an intact ship and abhors killing, but he has little use for others' rules.  He'll go where he's not supposed to and uses the pirate motif to scare off those who might interfere.  He's also not above stealing from the living and is an accomplished thief who can get in, take his target, and get out.  Majesty has actually commissioned him as a privateer since he seems to be able to get whatever needs to be got whether it be on land or the bottom of the ocean.

He and Salty obviously don't get along.  Salty is a more by the book sailor and boat captain.  The two often get into spats over the moral code of seafarers.

Has anyone noticed just how short (pony) Pinkie's lifted leg is? No wonder she's holding it out like it's on fire! That's what you get for messing with immutable physical laws, Pinkie!

My local store (which I'd never been in before!) here in MI said they'd just gotten their load of Cadances this morning; that's part of the reason they let me exchange my damaged one even though the invoice says it's been more than 30 days. I guess the whole town got their Pink Pony Princesses at the same time!
