So... did ANYONE manage to win Quibble Pants with just one day left in the event? It seemed impossible with this shortened amount of time to complete 40 tasks! I finished maybe 4.
No Quibble Pants for me either, but I think it was mathematically possible without Wild Fan, but just barely. I'm making an assumption here since I don't know when the quest actually unlocked, but 24 hours sounds about right. With Minuette dropping 1 rope per hour, and Henchpony dropping 2 per hour and a half, that's 5 ropes every 3 hours. 8 three hour cycles multiplied by 5 ropes per cycle is 40 ropes in 24 hours, assuming ropes actually drop every time. Which didn't happen. At least I got the 25 gem community prize.

I'm curious...what kind of ads does everyone else get? Lately I've been getting nothing but the same Froot Loops ad, with the occasional Frosted Flakes. I miss getting ads for other games. It's how I found and fell in love with Gardenscapes.

Holy Celestia I did it! At 4:30AM with one hour to spare, I beat the Ursa and got Tempest! I had NO booster ponies, and only spent 5 or so gems, all of which I got back from clearing changelings/parasprites/fruit bats.  I DID IT!!!

I'm going to keep plugging away at this questline for as long as I can, and see if I can get the 40 gem community prize. As cool as Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon are, and as much as I'd love to have them in my game, I think I'll take the money that they would cost and buy fabric to make a big cuddly Tempest plushie instead.

I got Glitter Drops! And while I was trying to get the 99 items for the new pony, I fat-fingered myself a new pony too. Goodbye, gems! Hello, Party Favor! :p
lol I fat-fingered the personal shopper pony. At least I actually GOT something for my fat-finger moment this time, instead of accidentally skipping timers on something I ended up not winning anyway.

I got Songbird and only spent 28 gems to speed up building Sapphire Shores' house, and got the hotel pony with a day to spare. Missed out on the last couple of social event ponies, since I was on vacation and didn't have a reliable internet connection for the last 2 weeks.

There are more of those "win x item in balloon pop" quests?! The game was merciful enough to give me Fluttershy's flower bush a couple of weeks ago, and Twilight's magic shards today, but Rarity has been waiting a looooong time for her wedding presents.

There's a pony in the store that needs 50 headsets and also a pony that needs 8 patches? (I'm not exactly sure what they are) I'm not sure if those are the same ponies that you will get through the Songbird quests though.

The patch things look like security guard badges, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense for unlocking Songbird's Agent.

Mine took quite a while to load after the update, but it seems to be working fine now. New gem codes are FRIENDSHIP and SONGBIRD. There doesn't seem to be any movie related new content yet, but there's a new pony to buy for 70 earpiece microphones. It also seems like you no longer have to play Clear the Skies when ponies level up. I'm a little disappointed. I just got Trouble Shoes and really wanted to see him play Clear the Skies!
