I just had something strange happen. I had an eevee holding a water stone so it would evolve into a vaporeon. But instead it evolved into espeon.
With the exception of Go, I haven't played a pokemon game since Yellow. But, I thought the stones "locked in" the evolution. I know espeon and umbreon evaluations have to deal with time of day and friendship/happiness level right? Do they take priority over the other evolutions?

I haven't found ditto yet, but my friend has. His was disguised as a pidgey.

The reverse time thing is hilarious! My husband got Sun and I got Moon, so last night I was like "Oh hey, it's day time finally." and he was like "Uh... no it's not."
I also got a Rowlet and Litten from the GTS, and my Brionne (middle stage after Popplio) is about to evolve, so I'm gonna work on evolving the other two starters as well.
Also, has anyone else (who plays Pokemon GO) thought about catching multiple of the same Pokemon because that's what you need to evolve them, only to realize that this is a main Pokemon game and not GO? Just me? 
Funny story about my Popplio too. I thought of restarting for a female, but that intro is soooooo long and not worth going through multiple times, imo. So I named my male Popplio Frank N Furter. If you get the reference, I love you.
I love the name for your popplio. Whenever I manage to get one I hope you don't mind if I steal it. I've been having a lot of fun so far. I named my Litten Fuego Noche and have already evolved him to Incineroar. Haven't gotten to the island that has mimikyu on it yet. Probably a good thing cause as soon as I do I'll be doing nothing but trying to catch them.

Congratulations to everyone that's been finding pokemon they've been wanting. Congrats, aluke! I'm pretty sure I'll never get Chansey, Lapras, Scyther, Porygon, Aerodactyl, or Omanyte/Omastar, so I've come to terms with that. Oh well.
Kinda sad that the event is over/ending. I didn't have much time this week to go out walking, especially since I leave work at 5 and it's dark by 5:30. They really should've let this run through the weekend and end on Monday.
I wouldn't give up on finding them yet. Just in the last week I've found Lapras and Electrobuzz. Two pokemon I thought I'd never get. Lapras popped up randomly when I was at Target and Electobuzz took my friend and I a good 15-20 minutes of wandering around Cleveland to find. But we finally caught it!

I picked up my 3ds XL on Saturday and can't wait to get Moon on Friday. Besides playing pokemon go, this will be my first pokemon game since Yellow. Back then none of my friends played so I've never had the opportunity to trade with anyone. I'm excited to finally get to do that part of the game. And I just know I'm going to collect an army of Mimikyu.

The Halloween event was good for my pokedex. It jumped from 82 to 98. And I got 3 10k eggs during it, Kubuto, Magmar and Onix. I was excited for the Kubuto it gave me enough to evolve it. Kubutops is currently sitting in a level 10 gym. So, I'm hoping I stick in there awhile.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend. I'm going to Cedar Point with a friend. So I should be able to get quite a bit of candy and hatch a few eggs from all the walking.
There are already a lot of drowsee in my area, but the increase in cubone and ghastly are welcome. I've had more meowth pop up on my sightings list than usual as well. But haven't found one yet.
Sunday was a good day for me and my friend. We caught 5 kubuto.

Friday my dad and I went to Cedar Point to ride the Mean Streak one last time. While we were waiting in line I opened the game today see what was nearby. Turns out Mean Streak was a gym. After a lot of trys I managed to get myself in! Didn't stay for long. But at least I can say I got to ride the Mean Streak and get in the gym on it's last day. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

That's great lunar_scythe. I was able to stay in a gym all weekend. It was the longest I've ever been in one. But I got kicked out sometime this morning.
I'm only at level 16 so far. So I'm far away from getting anything at cp2000. My highest so far is a vaporeon at cp1180.
I caught my first Vulpix today!

Lunar_Sythe I've been having the same problem. I've missed out on a Pickachu, Charmander and 2 Squirtdles. But I got a Squirtle out of a 2k egg and Cubone in a 5k today. Was very happy with it because usually all I get is weddles from the 2k. And I found Tauros at the grocery store. So good pokemon day all around.
