I'm still keen to purchase the set but haven't been able to justify it because I'd only be buying it for Applejack and Amazon keeps jacking up the price. I'm also on a spending break this month but almost broke it when they dropped to $70 AUD... but literally later that day they jumped to $90 AUD and have gone up again to almost $100.

Sorry this is a random post, just felt like venting lol. Wish I could buy just AJ!  >_<

There's a few ponies I've felt didn't quite fit into my collection, but only after a few years, and none that I've truly regretted despite no longer liking them as much.

However I did buy a Peter Stone, Little Anthony, impulsively while I was very sick with the flu and almost immediately after unwrapping it I realised I didn't love it as much as I'd hoped (I nicknamed him Swiss Cheese lol). I ended up trading it for two Breyer within a month, don't love them either but I like them better at least.

I hope you are able to finish!  It's been exciting watching your sig change!

Very belated thanks for the luck!

I've become distracted by collecting Breyer and Peter Stone, but I'm still hoping to finish my MIB Sweetie Pups collection some day lol.

I've used WD-40 with great results, but always test it on the surface first to ensure it won't damage the material under the adhesive. :)

Thank for the suggestions, both great examples that are definitely producing more reference images of coat patterns similar to that which I'm planning. :)

Off Topic / Horse Colour Experts - help? :)

I'm brainstorming how I want to paint a custom Breyer I'm working on, I'd like it to be realistic but unique... My idea is pinto markings with one side completely white and the other side solid coloured, split down the spine in an uneven/splashy way.

Is that something that could ever occur naturally, if rare? I've googled pictures but can't find any evidence of a horse that exists with such an appearance.

TIA for advice  ^.^

Made a video review with lots of weird....cardboard sounds at the start? It gets better when I stop touching the box.

They did Applejack dirty.

Thank you so much for the video review, I appreciate it and left a like ^.^
I think I will have to buy the set, just for AJ because she doesn't get enough love from Hasbro. I'm glad to see they're at least sealed in bags so I can keep her mint on display with the rest.

Compleeetely forgot about this set. I have to cash in my change at work and I usually get an Amazon Card, so I'll take the plunge and make a video review sometime soon. (Would be a wonderful jumpstart to my Youtube...right now it's just pony memes).

If you do make a video review please send me a link, I'd love to watch! ^.^ I try to find reviews on YouTube of everything before I buy lol.
I might buy a set myself in the next few weeks. Seems the consensus is they're legit and probably the only way to get an Applejack. Maybe I'll be able to sell the doubles and just keep AJ.

Pony Corral / G4 Glitter Style Seapony Applejack? (Amazon box set)
« on: March 25, 2019, 06:01:43 PM »
Has anyone bought the box set of Glitter Styles seaponies from Amazon? It contains Applejack, who was never released individually, and I was wondering if it's legit.

The listing shows a stock photo of the main six as the correct toys, but also lists them as 3" tall - that's the standard brushable size, not the Glitter Style size. One review confirms that they are indeed the larger figures, but I'm still iffy.

I'd also like to know how they're packaged inside the box, whether they have their own boxes or are all in together. I'd love to have Applejack MIB to go with the rest of the set, but it seems this giant box set is the only way to get her (probably loose) since G4 is ending soon and seaponies are no longer the focus.

Thanks in advance for any advice. It's been a while since I posted.

I'm hoping they repro Posey, I would be so happy to have a brand new Posey in my collection.

Big Brothers/Mountain Boys would be cool too. ^.^

A little off topic but... If Hasbro rebooted Sweetie Pups I would die lol

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Nevermind :P
« on: February 12, 2019, 06:46:38 PM »
Nevermind, I mustered the guts to ask the seller and got his story. He was her 30 year old childhood toy. She'd been trying to sell him for weeks with no interest, then someone came round to buy something else and their daughter fell in love with him so she gave him to her for free. How sweet. A shame I missed him but how wonderful that he's become someone else's childhood toy.  ^.^

I saved his picture because he's so gorgeous, maybe some day I'll be able to sew my own with him as inspiration.

She's very pretty, I like her eyes and the way hair hair seems to glow.
I immediately thought her name should be Moondance, but perhaps Moonprance would suit her nicely as well?  ^.^

Pony Corral / Re: What do you think of the new G4 packaging?
« on: January 05, 2019, 12:07:01 PM »
Aesthetically I like it, but it feels like it's meant for special release figures (like SDCC or store exclusive lines) and is just a wasteful amount of plastic for basic figures.

Have you seen the packaging for the new basic Fashion Style line that's been spotted? (post on MLPMerch) Looks like they're tied to the card/box with no plastic shell, like the Design-a-Pony range or Styling G4s.
As a MIB collector I'm not a fan, they're gonna get dusty and messy hair just sitting on the shelf. But the lack of plastic is a pro, recycling got more complicated in my city recently and less plastic is always good for the planet.
