The Dollhouse / Re: Sparkle Girlz clothes for MH?
« on: June 08, 2015, 12:47:27 PM »
Googling "sparkle girlz clothes fit" brings up a ton of stuff! Unfortunately it looks like they're a good fit for Barbie (this post shows a lot of outfits on modern Barbie bodies), so they'd be hopelessly outsized for MH girls unless you want to alter them down.

Pony Corral / Re: Used brushables and spas???
« on: May 02, 2015, 04:14:31 PM »
Extracting a G4's head is quite literally a pain in the tush. What they say about an ounce of prevention is true. I'd recommend not even trying to remove the head unless you suspect there to be a problem. Hanging a pony upside down so water can escape through the roots is the best bet :) If you MUST remove the head, there are tutorials on how to do them, but I'm not sure if there's a difference between a FS and a brushables head plug because I have yet to customize a FS pony.

I'm glad I seem to have helped, please let me know if theres anything I else I can for you!'

Fashion Styles' heads are a little easier to remove than a normal brushable's in some ways, but less in others - there's no separate plug (the 'plug' is molded into the head piece), so no cutting required... but the plastic's so thick that it's hard to remove without heat or at least hot water. It's a pain, and definitely worth avoiding if possible, but it's not quite as terrifying as smaller brushables'.

Wow, she's beautiful :lovey: Pastels are a good look for Bowtie, apparently!

No duplicates. :)
Blossom, Bluebelle, Butterscotch, Cotton Candy, Minty, and Snuzzle. The "orginal six".
The one you said was Gingerbread is actually Sweet Stuff... even though she is blue and the baby sweet stuff is pink...
Yes, that is Baby Sweet Stuff.
... whoops, I forgot Blossom existed :yikes: Thank you for the corrections! I'm not sure why I typed Gingerbread.

If the small pony in the front with the butterfly wings has both of hers (it looks like she does?) then that definitely makes her more desirable :) The hat/bushwoolie/wand that go with the princesses tend to go for decent prices, and so will the boy's hat and bandanna.

I see Blue Belle (two of them?), Butterscotch, Snuzzle, Cotton Candy, Merriweather, Magic Hat, Posey, Milky Way, Speedy, Bright Eyes, Salty, Gingerbread, Galaxy, Sky Dancer, Baby Lucky, Sparkle Baby Firefly, Flutterbye, and I don't actually recognize the pink baby in the front I think she's Baby Sweet Stuff?

Pony Corral / Re: Need Help on G1 Eye Touch Ups
« on: April 20, 2015, 02:51:50 PM »
I presonally don't like the look of ponies whose eyes are retouched with acrylic paint, because the acrylic has a shiny finish while "pony-paint" is matte. I'd like to know if there was a matte-finish paint that could be used?  :what: The marker idea is good in terms of the finish, but will it bleed over time?

There are topcoats (Testors Dullcote is one a lot of people use) that will add a matte finish :) I'd definitely be wary of markers - all those ponies with names written on them and marker stains are a good testament to how much they can bleed.

Pony Corral / Re: Would you debox a G1/G2/G3 pony?
« on: April 13, 2015, 05:57:22 PM »
I'd think about it if the pony had mold/plasticizer leakage, or if the card was heavily damaged - but otherwise, I'd prefer to sell a MIB/MOC G1/2 and buy a nice loose one. I'd consider deboxing a G3 if it was one I really liked, though.

Sundown was taken, so I've registered under the username Rozenkvist. :>

Do you have any tips for getting gems without USD? I've got some accent and skin designs in mind that I would eventually like to sell.

For accents and skins, you can open a shop thread in the forums! If you have them designed, people who like them are generally willing to pay in advance so that you can afford the blueprints to print them (plus profit for you, of course). Aside from that, my gems tend to come from flipping items (buying gene scrolls on dominance discount and selling them for gems, or just selling extra familiars/apparel) or dragons (they move really well in gems after a reg window, if you've got pretty double- or triple-gened babies).

I don't spend a lot of time on the forums, but Light's have always seemed pretty nice the few times I've gone in there!

Off Topic / Re: Names you use for game characters
« on: April 06, 2015, 05:00:59 PM »
I like Aer/Aera or Cura for self-insert type characters without a lot of game-given personality (ACNL, Pokemon, stuff like that)! For games where that doesn't sound like it fits at all, or the character's less of a silent type, I tend to spend forever on baby name sites finding the perfect one.  My favorites on that front right now are Linnet (my Fire Emblem MU), Senna (Dragon Age Warden), and maybe Aya (KHX [Chi] Keybearer). I tend to stick with default names for RPGs, but not always (the FFVIII run where Squall was Cupcake and Rinoa was Cookie was a good one...)

And I've always been all over the place with Pokemon names, but last time around I went with a specific theme (all girls for my party, names of fictional witches) and that was a lot of fun :)

I've been neglecting all of my other games in favor of Kingdom Hearts X [Chi]. ): Send help. I've been thinking of restarting Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, though, since I didn't even make it all the way through my first spring before I forgot about it last time.

I like Tokyo Otaku Mode too :) They have some really cute stuff - I'm trying to convince myself I don't need a huge fennec fox plush right now. (Also you get $5 for signing up, and another $5 credit if you signed up with a referral link - I can share mine if needed!)

The Dollhouse / Re: Small Pullip dolls
« on: March 08, 2015, 04:21:36 PM »
Here's a comparison with Little Pullips and some other mini dolls! They're maybe four inches tall or so? Their bodies really aren't very posable, but you could always get them a more jointed body if you're okay with a body more in scale with the head. (I think I'd prefer one larger Pullip to even three or four of the little ones, though, if it were me! I have some LPS Blythes and while they're adorable, they can't compare to my single Pullip.)

Off Topic / Re: How do you feel about spoilers?
« on: March 06, 2015, 08:36:00 PM »
Depends on what kind of spoiler (the bigger and easier it is to guess, the less annoyed I am) and how into the thing I am! Sometimes I'll look up spoilers for myself just to see if I'm going to be mad at the game/show/book later on, but if someone tells them to me without me asking I'll be mad, haha.

Kingdom Hearts. I'm the least creative when it comes to usernames :silly:

... yeah, same  :yikes:

Aerora is a spell from KH/Final Fantasy! It's also kind of close to what I was almost named, but I don't remember if that was related to why I started using it.

I keep meaning to replay it - I think the last time I did was 2009 or so! Shiki is so great. :lovey:

They added a couple of TWEWY songs to Theatrhythm Curtain Call about a month or so ago (Calling and Twister), so that was neat!
