Danny Santos is a photographer, he does portraits of strangers on the streets; http://www.flickr.com/photos/dannysantos/sets/72157622966228004/ I took one of his shots and made it my desktop. I haven't changed my background in like, two and a half years. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI use ObjectDock to keep shortcuts off my desktop.

My Rarity's is exactly the same and her hair feels different than the other FS ponies. I love it!
Dude, it totally does! I thought I was imagining things but Rarity's hair feels way thicker than Fluttershy's or Twilights or any of the others. Oh man I should put them on a gram accurate scale and see if I really am crazy.

I used to read a lot of fantasy, then a lot of crime fiction, now I pretty much only read non-fiction. Most of what I read these days is about spaceflight and prototype airplanes.

If I see a shelf of games, movies, or books in the background of someones pictures, I try to see what they are and judge them for their taste.
I know it's crass and juvenile, but I don't care.

Yeah, I think photobucket is unintuitive for everyone. Flickr seems to be the go-to place for people who want to 'share photos', like with friends or family, but if you want a place to dump photos for forums, imgur is where it's at.

The Orange Box. It has Portal, Half-Life 2, and Half-Life 2: Episode 1 & 2. If you ever decide to go online, it also has Team Fortress 2.
Sorry, Doc, but I do not echo the idea of getting the PS3 version of The Orange Box. From my understanding, It's a poorly done port with a plathora of known issues.
I've spent a lot of time with it at my brothers place, it runs solid. It's not perfect, but it's far from unplayable, and you still get to play Portal and Half-Life 2, the latter set the standard for what people expect from modern games. The Orange Box will only set ya box $20-30, the framerate will drop in a few areas in Half-Life 2, and Portal has long-ish reload times. Don't let that keep ya from digging into two of the best games from the last decade.

I pay for my own domain and webspace. A lot of the stuff I host is for business, and I don't want that going to sites with terms of service that say they own whatever you upload.
For things that are one offs, I use imgur and don't even bother logging in. If you're not logged in, you upload something, it gets a random URL, and if you lose that URL, good luck finding your picture. But if you do create an account (it's super easy), you get yourname.imgur.com, and it's painless to manage and keep tabs on your uploads. I'd definitely go for imgur.

Well, let's think about it. The hair on ponies is really narrow nylon, right? Over brushing is probably a cause, as when you brush it, you're pulling on the hair, stretching it out, causing it to expand and contract, which will weaken the fibers in the hair. I can imagine the structure of the hair losing integrity, and eventually losing it's 'straightness', if you will. Imagine a strip of wire coating, when it hasn't been stretched, it's pretty straight when you lay it down, but when you stretch it out, let it settle, and keep repeating this, it will eventually lose it's shape. A lot of temperature change will probably do the same thing, causing the hair to expand and contract. Not much, but if you keep stretching something out, it will eventually lose shape. As has been mentioned, the type of comb used for brushing will probably have an effect, too. If you're using an comparatively rough comb with lots of bristles, you're abrading the hair, which will probably make it less prone to settle down nicely. Brushing carefully (being patient with tangles) with a wide toothed comb with as smooth a surface as possible is probably your best bet. However, this is all conjecture, I have no idea if I'm right. That's probably why boiling the hair helps frizz. The plastic will melt ever so slightly, and it will reset all the kinks and abrasions it has. I have some fakies kicking around in a box, I should totally do some experiments on them. I'd feel bad about it, but they're fakies, and it's for science. In Ohio, we hit them with baseball bats to see how far we can make them go. See? visitors can't see pics , please register or loginDespite all the gusto, it didn't go very far. I play hockey, dang it.

I've been tinkering with my new camera, a Polaroid 450. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginIt's in good shape, but it's tricky. Since it uses instant film, there's absolutely no cropping, no correcting of angles. I can't edit things in digital post, I can't angle the easel when I'm developing prints. It's very unforgiving, but I like it. Expensive, too. Packs of film are $10 for 10 exposures. I've burnt through two packs, didn't get many good shots, still getting a grip on it. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginThe film is 3200 ISO, so it's pretty light sensitive, though not very grainy. Going to try it out at a concert soon. Should be fun.

So here's what I've bought during the fall and winter Steam sale;
Spec Ops: The Line (played for about an hour)
Someone gifted me DOTA 2, so I've been playing that and Chivalry. I'll eventually get to the rest. I have bought a lot of games.
One piece of advice for you, my friend: Stick with it. I dunno how much you know about it, but the first parts of the game, the ones that suck? Those are a trick.
I have a GTX 660 Ti in the mail, upgrading from a GT430, so, y'know, I'm gonna sit on it till that gets here, but I definitely plan to finish it up.

I hate tinsel and regularly detinsel ponies with tinsel. It is the worst.
I know it's weird to 'hate' something about brightly coloured toy ponies, but I really hate tinsel.
