im back to make a thread ill probably forget about but i just had a nap and had a neat dream, so i figured i should share and discuss other peoples dreams, too!

it was about a series of mlp shorts (about 3-4 minutes on average) produced in the 90s, typical lost media stuff - people would debate where and how it was released because there just seemed to be no info on it. it was called "the my little pony rainbow" and the cast was very diverse, with it coming between a time of gen 1 and 2. a lot of the cast were gen 2 designs (even ones that chronologically would not make sense to appear) with gen 1 ponies (mostly cartoon ones and recognisable early g1 ponies, and for some reason i DISTINCTLY remember up, up and away being featured as a pegasus similar to that one episode of tales. i forgot the name of the ponies who were in it, it's been a while since i've looked at ANYTHING mlp)
stylistically, it was pretty faithful to g2, with leggy ponies though it maybe had a slightly more (shoujo) anime feel. the animation was quite light/sketchy, like how 101 dalmatians is animated. overall, a quite charming look.
i don't remember the plot of the episodes, aside from one that was called rainstorm which was the one that featured pegasus up up and away. environmentally, the episode reminded me a lot of tambelon.

there was a lot of other little details, but with it being a dream, i don't really remember them. i did, however, have a false awakening in the dream and i was like "omg! i dreamed about this and it was real!". i guess my mind was making connections to that rainbow pony animation.

anyway, how about you guys? any cool dreams to share?

for the past few days, i've been showing my boyfriend G1 cartoon stuff. i wanna show him more but i'm not sure which ones ^^
so far, i've shown him:

• rescue at midnight castle
• escape from catrina
• the movie
• the return of tambelon
• the golden horseshoes

you can recommend them on any value you want. think ones full of funny animation quirks/errors? i'd like to see or one you think is particularly good! (we were having fun with the animation. like what's up with all the ponies switching around in and out of jail in tambelon? )

-i want to buy all my childhood ponies again, i have most of my ponyvilles and one g3 brushable but everything else is lost to time. or maybe family and then some charity shop. or maybe the attic but nobody ever goes in the black hole above our house

-lets go for a massive step up: novia actually, i've been considering for a long time commissioning someone to customise a basic fun confetti or something like that... i don't think i'll ever get the real one and it seems fairly simple (rehair and symbols, her eye colour is close i believe) but i don't trust myself with painting stuff

I have this, I got it from Amazon I think. It's only a US release but it was definitely available to buyers here for a while...

There are some individual UK dvds of Tales eps but only random ones. I used to have a couple, not sure I still do though :/

yep, i had one of them. it had a good... half? of them, i think, maybe over half. the disc is damaged though (from overuse), the last 4 or so episodes only work partially, or in the case of the last one, not at all.
i'll have to have a look on amazon, then... maybe i'll get lucky, but the shipping cost on US amazon would probably double the total price anyway. (edit: it is on US amazon and ships to the UK, but i've not had a look at the shipping cost yet) though actually, that does raise the question of regions. im so used to my only CDs/DVDs not from here being from japan lol.

i also see cels for tales pop up all the time. i wonder why they're so frequent? i've not seen nearly as many for any other g1 cartoons.

The US is region one, so unless you have a multiregion player, or want to hack your player codes..., it might be tough to play it. Japan is Region 2, like us (which is awesome, isn't it??!!) so they're no problem. Australian ones also play fine on Region 2 players, I think...but the US is different.

I have a multiregion player back home so I had forgotten about that. My TV here only plays UK and Japanese DVDs on its DVD drive, but I imagine, if you still have a PC with a CD drawer, that might work (or a game console). Depending on how many times you need to mess with it before it locks...

i've heard computer/laptop drives tend not to be region encoded at a hardware level, so i'll have to try it out, since my laptop at home does have one.

it's only £12.75 total now that i've checked, and i'm tempted to buy it immediately because OMG TALES
