I'd almost forgotten about this one: Beyond Reanimator.

I loved 'The Reanimator' and 'Bride of the Reanimator', but 'Beyond Reanimator' was just GOD AWFUL! xD

Pay it Forward - in my eyes Kevin Spaceys best film but didn't get much press at the time

Pay it Forward was great, but man if it didn't leave me feeling sad the rest of the day. x.x

I saw Fly Away Home in theaters back in the day.  It was great!

Adding 'Iron Will' (1994) to the list.  I'd almost forgotten about it, then it hit me when Stormy mentioned Fly Away Home.

We've got a thread about bad movies, how about one about hidden film gems?  Movies that are out there, that are great, but just aren't that popular.

My favourites are:

Foxfire (1996) - One of Angelina Jolie's best performances in my opinion!  Very edgy mid-90's teen movie.
Starman (1984) - Very touching story.  It's sci-fi for people who don't care much for sci-fi and Jeff Bridges is amazing in the movie.
Brother Bear (Disney 2003) - I have no idea why this movie isn't more popular.  Stunning visuals and amazing animation and a great story.

I'm sure I can think of more.  What about you guys?

I've only read the first two and 'When The Wind Blows', but that was a looong time ago.  From what I remember, they were great.

Hate Godzilla, loved nostalgia critic´s review.
i actually liked the 90s US Godzilla movie. Granted,  I am the person who always roots for the "animal/aliens/monster" in movies like that. xD

One movie I really disliked was Napoleon Dynamite. I know everyone in my high school thought it was the funniest thing ever when it came out, but I thought it was extremely dumb, save for two scenes.
Spoiler
the infamous "dance" scene, and at the end of the movie/post credits when IIRC Napoleon's brother sings a song to his newly wed wife at the wedding.
.
Normally I would enjoy movies like ND, but for some reason I just couldn't like it.

It's funny, Napoleon Dynamite is one of those movies where there doesn't seem to be any in-between.  People either really love it, or they really dislike it.  I'm part of the 'really love it' crowd.  Even to this day, I still find it funny for some reason, though I can kinda see why people don't like it.

Eragon - Loved the book, but the movie honestly bored me.

Superbad - PAINFULLY obvious that this was made for high school and college age guys.  I didn't even make it ten minutes into the movie before turning it off.  Though, there are other movies that fall under this category that I love like 'Accepted' and 'American Pie'.

Sorority Row - Really cheap slasher movie.  And when I say 'cheap' I mean "The killer is hiding behind the door of the room that person just walked in" cheap.

Fahrenheit 451 (1966) - This book-to-movie adaptation will always be the worst to me.  I've read the book cover to cover at least 5 times and could probably write a 20 page thesis on why the movie was terrible.  Granted, I know that special effects weren't great at the time, but they could have at least made it look like they tried!  Not to mention the fact that the plot of the movie was nowhere NEAR close to the book plot.  Here's the trailer.  If you've read the book or are familiar with it, then you'll see what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cQ-yGCyjyM  The movie's only saving grace was the soundtrack. :/

Sadly, the only two decent arcades where I live are long gone.  There was one at the mall that I went to all the time in high school and my first few years of college (yes, I was an arcade rat!) and there was one down the street at the ice skating center.  I was addicted to Dance Dance Revolution, Silent Scope, House of the Dead, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Initial D, Ms. Pac Man (the mall arcade had a Ms. Pac Man cabinet), Cruisin' USA... and the Battletech (MechWarrior) pods that the ice skating center arcade had.  Those were unique and fun...even if I didn't know what I was doing half the time!  Now,  if I want to hang around an arcade I have to drive well over two hours to Myrtle Beach as arcades are practically on every street corner there.

1. Summer semester is almost over and I have a nice two-week break following it.
2. There's a possibility that I might be getting a new phone soon.
3. I've been learning a few new eyeshadow/eyeliner techniques and I've been really happy with the results!

Ooooh, I need this!  There's a serious lack of Chrysalis stuff out there and it makes me sad.  Thanks for sharing this!

A few bottles of China Glaze nail polish as well as some bottles of nail/cuticle oil and nail vitamins.  Gave myself an EPIC manicure the other day! :D

Yay, new car! :D  KIA's are fantastic.  I have a 2005 Spectra and I love it to death.

The only decals my car has are an old Rainbow Dash sticker from Hot Topic, a University of South Carolina gamecock, and my 'Citadel Graduate College' sticker.  I want to rip them all off and slap some nerdy fandom stickers on there at some point.  Some old rubber floormats with dragons on them, a 'thin blue line' plate in the back window.
