I've been meaning to start a thread about that commercial. I distinctly remember the song from an early commercial for the first unicorns, pegasi, and non-CP earth ponies, though I don't remember the images very well. I think it probably goes to the one you're talking about. I've got some animation cels from it too.
My Little Pony unicorn A magical pony with beautiful hair My Little Pony pegasus Imagine my pony fly through the air And new Little Ponies in pretty poses Sitting and turning and -- bounding? bouncing? too (I never could make out what they were saying) My Little Pony, My Little Pony Something something, probably just I love you
Does anyone else remember it?

If I were you, I would just auction them on Ebay. Then you'll be selling to a worldwide audience. You'll have to pay a small fee, but your items will probably sell a LOT higher because you'll have a lot more bidders.

I believe you're right about the ballerina LLL. The bottom one goes with Plume from the Shimmers line by Kenner. Probably my second favorite toy line after MLP. http://www.ghostofthedoll.co.uk/shimmers.php

So, just to check, we're not sure if SA ponies were produced under official license from Hasbro? They may turn out to be bootlegs, technically?

Breast Cancer Awareness Pony has definitely increased in value to $200 - $300.

I plan to take photos (of a shelf full at a time) and document values directly on it. A spreadsheet would be WAY too hard to keep track of.

I really love it when small animals like that, which are often viewed as unintelligent and boring, show that they have personalities too. And I love it when people take the time and care to appreciate them. I'll try to write one or two of my own later.

After 35 years of collecting ponies, I've amassed a really huge collection of all gens. I don't know how many, but it's got to be close to 2000 by now, plus plushes, merch, and other vintage toys.
I've been moving around a lot for the last 10 years trying to launch my career. I've finally landed a permanent salaried job and am happy to put down roots for a while in southeast Ohio.
My collection has mostly been boxed for many years, but I'm looking forward to finally displaying them in my new home. The last time I was able to display them all, they numbered around 600. One bedroom probably won't be enough to show so many toys now, ha ha! Wall space will be precious, which brings me to my problem.
I know most collectors recommend Billy bookcases from Ikea. They're cheap, look nice, and have glass doors to keep out the dust. But they're only about 11 or 12 inches deep, enough for about two rows of ponies per shelf, maybe three if you squeeze in some babies in front. And many playsets don't fit.
With so many ponies, I really need a system that can accomodate four rows of ponies per shelf, plus playsets. So I need something twice as deep as Billy, at least 20 inches, preferably 24.
I've read that Ikea recently started a new line of deeper Billy bookcases. But they're still only 15 inches deep; that's not going to cut it for me. I'm considering systems of customizable Ikea wardrobes or pantries. The Pax wardrobe system looks good, though it doesn't seem to come with glass doors.
I'm wondering if anyone else has found a good shelving system for huge collections. Any suggestions? I know I'm not the only one here with a giant collection.

There's SOOOOOOOO much merch out there; not everything is well documented. But yes, it's legit.

Yep, I have it too. I bought it from a Brittish seller. I would have to dig it out to tell you more. What else do you want to know?
Ummmm, I remember that it features some UK ponies. I remember Gypsy and Honeycomb, and I think Hopscotch and Snowflake are on there too. Majesty as well, though of course she's not a UK exclusive.
I really like mobiles in general, so I wanted it a lot. It's fairly hard to find, but not super rare.

It's Italian coral-haired Tickle, a variant. Actually, I'm pretty sure someone here bought the lot, but I'll let her come forward if she wants.
