Pony Corral / Re: Minnesota May Meet Down on the Farm! May 12th, 2018

I have some unfortunate news - I'll have to scratch Erick and I off the list. I got a new job, and will now have to work that weekend :( Now I need to unsubscribe from this thread to avoid getting sad from seeing these posts! Lol. But in all seriousness, I hope you guys have a lot of fun :)

We had a great time yesterday! Bianca, thank you for being such a wonderful host. Your home is lovely, your pony collection downstairs is so organized and beautiful (in addition to all your other amazing collections!) and Erick was very happy to talk video games with you. Aurora, I got the Medley plush from the dice game, and I love her! She is sitting proud in my pile of plushies. Thank you to Kazzelin and Nimrodel for the ponies we bought from you; you guys provided Erick his first two G3 ponies! Thank you to everyone else for a wonderful time :)

I wasn't sure Erick would be willing to drive down south, but he had such a good time yesterday that he's looking forward to this one :) So Erick and I will be coming! We will try to sign up for some type of food (he mentioned ribs) but we would have to actually discuss it first before confirming. We like the sound of the bonfire/overnight. Responsible drinking is okay with us ;)

Hi guys, unfortunately a should be simple errand took much longer than expected, so Erick and I will be quite late (again). It will probably be about an hour for us.

I was teaching a drawing class and today we drew a unicorn, so I brought my 4DE Twilight plush. When some kids finished and didn't have anything [non-destructive] to do, I pulled out my Twi and let them play with her. I had to tell them, "Twilight Sparkle gets motion sickness very easily, so she doesn't like to run around. She might get a headache." So one boy started cradling her and protecting her, because he didn't want Twilight to get sick :)

The store we went to did have Nerf guns, but it wasn't doing any closing sales yet.

My boyfriend and I went there today, and there weren't any sales. It was quite busy, and there were a lot of aimless adults (like us, lol). I wanted to buy something to commemorate my last time at Toys R Us, and saw this little guy so I picked him up. I replaced a lot of his stuffing with a beanbag filled with polyfil beads, so he's more floppy.

Edit: Just read that the company's 94 year old founder, Charles Lazarus, has passed away today. I imagine the liquidation of his company was too much for him to take :(

Pony Corral / Re: Plasticizer leak

The only ponies I have that are rock hard are Chief and Tex, who have already been mentioned...and Gingerbread, who's a TE. I have two collector's pose ponies (Lemon Drop and FF Butterscotch) that are feeling sticky and I'm guessing it's the start of plasticizer leakage.

I hope MGA does buy it. It would be really sad to see the last big toy store disappear :\ Even if their prices were high.

Both Erick and I have requested the 31st off, so it's looking like we are still confirmed :) Unfortunately Aurora I don't have a Scrumptious, but I may need to piggyback off your post for a request of my own...Will anyone have an extra Rainbow Curl Raincurl (redundant name) to sell? I've found the rest of the set in person over time, so I am hoping to complete it without buying from online!

My first memory of TRU was from when I was four. My mom took my brother and I there, and there was a cardboard box of stuffed Yoshi beanies. My brother got a red one while I found my Yellow Yoshi. Since then, Yellow has been my lifelong companion, traveling with me on various excursions, vacations and playdates, and even going to college with me :)

That was such a happy memory for me, but lately when I've gone back to that same TRU, it's pretty disappointing. It's run down, dingy and dirty, and everything is expensive. The only things I see there that I'm interested can be found cheaper at other stores. I will definitely miss the idea and concept of Toys r Us, but as far as the actual experience...ehhhh. Maybe in hindsight my recent trips will look almost as rosy as the first.

I have the Wind Waker toon Link nendoroid, he is the cutest :) I love him because the WW aesthetic matches the nendo shape and style really well!

If we divide the drawings out between the artists of the group, I could volunteer to draw a few. I need to draw one for Erick, but would like to do some for a few other people as well. Here's an example of something I've done - my own ponysona :)

She's supposed to be covered in charcoal dust, lol.

Pony Corral / Re: Let's talk about G3s!
« on: February 26, 2018, 03:46:49 PM »
It's a hard decision, but I think my favorite G3 is Alphabittle. She's so funny and sweet. Although, Autumn Skye is great, and I also like Lulabelle...But Alphabittle has so much personality!

I responded to the PM, but I think I failed to actually list all of them? So March 17, 24 and 31 are all good for me!
