Does anyone know if the big Amaya is as articulated as the smaller dolls? If she is I need to start watching for her to go on sale.
I think one of the reviews I watched showed she was articulated but I don't know if it's the same as the smaller, or if it has all the same points of articulation. I didn't even realize my small dolls has a upper thigh that could rotate till I was messing around with the out of box doll I bough off mercari and was trying to make her sit. I did find the gold slumber party doll on Tuesday at a different walmart but she was the only one of the 3 slumber party dolls they had. I also saw some of the new dolls at Best Buy, I almost bought one but decided to wait.

I believe the newyork times may have also done an article so I don't think it was just foxnews. And the Gutfeld show did a segment where they discussed the movie; that show is on Foxnews. I'd post the link to the episode of the Gutfeld show that discusses the MLP movie but, if that article offends then I'm pretty sure the Gutfeld show would as well.
i'm not particularly offended that it's being discussed or that some people may have a different view/opinion of MLP than I do.

great minds think alike. I bought Georgia also. I found the new ones this weekend.
I bought Georgia and Gabrielle Icely.
I haven't opened very many of my RH dolls yet, I still have a majority of them still in the box. I'm just lazy and need to finish reorganizing my shelf for them but I just don't feel like it so I'll get to it eventually.
I just watched a review of the giant 24" doll on youtube. It's pretty and it looks like the quality is really good but I don't know if i want to spend $100 on a RH doll that is 24"!!!! I would rather send that much on a Ellowyne :/ so maybe if I see one on discount at some point but not the full hudduddolla.

I really don't feel like this plot or these characters can carry themselves into extended media. But I guess we'll see. 
That's kind of how I feel, the movie sort of 'resolved' the issue the ponies were having right??? (lol). I feel like anything they do will just be re-hashing the same issue they cleared up at the end of the movie. Well, I write that but, the things I saw as a problem, the story writers apparently didn't seem to have the same issues with so who am I to complain and shread a movie plot after watching a movie. Which technically is a tradition in my family to discuss a movie and rip it apart...you should have seen me fussing at the TV while watching the first episode of the new series La Brea. Plus, G4 had to teach the same lessons of friendship over and over again, for like 10 years so I could be completely wrong here (haha). But that also doesn't mean I have to watch it :p

The MLP movie, I watched it.
I think it was decent, is it better or worse than anything else we've seen with MLP. It's hard for me to go in and compare the original cartoons to the stuff being made now. I think it's a draw at best to say it's better or worse. I don't want to say it's just okay, it was pretty, it was cute but I don't particularly feel the desire to love or hate it.
I will say without spoilers I think at least for me, there seems to be missing payoffs in the story I'd like to see. The character setup at the beginning is really good. And, maybe they're planning more but for me the movie was good till a certain point and then I feel like something went missing story-wise or it felt weirdly like a bit of a rush to crash land the ending, maybe it was just trying to fit the story they were trying to tell into the confines of the 'movie' timeframe. I almost felt this would have been better as either had an addition episode or a mini-series.
However, I don't know if it was 'more' I was wanting. I think it's more an explanation to things that either didn't make sense to me, didn't follow through with a payoff or that just didn't feel like a satisfying conclusion to the events that happened in the story.
Sooo, I think kids will like it but I'm not sure it's enough there for me to like it more than just a passing netflix movie I'll forget about in a few months. Watching this movie didn't make me feel excited for more MLP movies or a series.

My pre-ordered doll has been pushed back to I think it said Aug 17...wut!? Meanwhile people are finding the doll at Target all over the place on facebook. So unfair, what was the point of tempting us to pre-order...(sad) Just get get the chance to get a numbered one (grrr).
Oh well.
Ponyfan, the closet looks cool, I saw someone do an unboxing on youtube. Seems like it's kind of expensive from what others are saying on FB and youtube.

I don't want to give spoilers but please don't read mine if you get upset by them. Spoiler I managed to sorta get through the first episode, but for me none of the characters 'feel' like the characters to me. Don't get me wrong, the animation is beautiful, I give props to the animators. It's really pretty and it's the same folks that did Castlevania which I give 4 thumbs up for story and animation. Watch that instead of this (LOL) or the Dragon Prince, those are two animations on netflix that I found good.
The story for episode one just feels weird/off to me I'm assuming by the direction that they seem to be taking we're supposed to like Teela?? But I had a hard time really liking her at the end. The voice they picked and the way she portrayed Teela it JUST doesn't work for me and I keep thinking, this isn't Teela (just by the voice alone).
To me when you pick a well known well loved franchise you have to get it right with who you choose to be your main characters. Whoever it is they picked to be teela, the voice just doesn't work for me. By the end of the episode the character comes across as whiney to me and her behavior as a character at the end of the episode just rubbed me the wrong way.
I just don't know if I want to watch the rest. PLUS...5 episodes. Seriously Netflix, this isn't a season. They should have just put all the episodes of this up instead of dragging this out.

my Walmart is starting to restock the toy section and put up new toys but nothing MLP related, in fact I have no clue where they moved the old stock that was on the self. There is zero stuff on the sales isle. But my WM did not have a whole lot of pony related stuff here lately to begin with. I haven't noticed where they're going to put the pony section yet. My walmart is so slow sometimes, there are just huge sections right now with nothing on them.

Yep, I love these. I preordered Jett on amazon.
My local walmart has just put up 2 of the winter dolls this week. They've also got the car up on shelf but I may put a hard pass on that kinda stuff unless it's one day on sale. They've also marked out a location for some other dolls but they haven't put up the stock yet.
Not sure what kinda nonsense goes on at my local walmart with leaving whole sections blank but other sections they leave the toys up and put the sales price on the shelf.... Another example, they have a sale section and they've put some of the cheer dolls but they've got them marked to $24.25...uhhh...that's more than they're original price. So clearly we have people working at my walmart who can't read or cross-reference prices for items. Heck, every other walmart is marking stuff down for $10 and my still has series 1 at original price depending on the doll.
But on a different markdown they had the nanana teen dolls for $10 each, which was a good buy considering originally they're going for over 20, close to 30 in some cases.
I have found that some barbie clothes fit them, so that's a win and I purchased a really cute dress off etsy for one of mine. I'll have to take some pics once I get them all unboxed. Right now my Rainbow High/Nanana Surprise shelf is a bit unorganized but I just haven't had a chance to set it all up yet.

I haven't kept up with the G4 comic anyway, so I'm a bit ambivalent, the covers are okay, I'm more curious about what happens inside and that'll probably determine if I will or will not buy the books.
