butterflybuttons- I actually have a bottle of that perxide stuff from Sally. Would you suggest only painting it on the areas where the pearlized paint has turned yellow, or applying it to the entire pony? I don't want white blotches where the pearlized paint used to be, but the yellowing is especially bad on her face. I'll post pics as soon as I get my camera out.

Their paint is VERY fragile and easily scratched off. Also, don't use acetone on them, as it will affect, discolour and dull the hard plastic they're made of. Magic erasers will work on any surface marks like pen or paint, but they often get yellowish discoloured patches and there's not really anything you can do about them. Also, on Spritzy, the pearly sheen will come off pretty easily if you use anything like a magic eraser on her. :)

You kind of brought me to my next question: Spritzy *does* have that yellowish sheen to her where the pearly paint is, I am assuming? Is it better to leave her that way, should I attempt to wipe it off and make her a uniform pink color, and is she worth anything in this condition? Oh, she has a door-like compartment under her belly and I can't get it open. I don't think I really know how, and I am afraid to force it. Any suggestions?

Thanks to all for your expertise and advice!

Hey there  :)
So I recently acquired 2 Dream Beauties in a G1 lot. One is Spritzy and the other is Stardazzle. I never had any intentions of collecting them. They kinda just ended up in the bag. I swear, I didn't MEAN to do it...they just looked - lonely?

So -How do I clean them without damaging body paint, eye paint, etc? Does anyone have any experience cleaning these girls up?
ANything I should look out for?

Also- WHY am I growing so attatched to them??!!! It's like a sickness....can't....resist...their beautiousness....

Thx!

I threw away my childhood sea pony when she filled up with mold and got all gross.  I know how to fix her NOW!  ARRRRRRRRRRGH!
^^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^ Did that with my childhood Surprise and Sunbeam - just 'cause they smelled moldy! They didn't even have mold inside them! I can't help imagining my poor babies sitting in a garbage dump somewhere under piles and piles of garbage. My poor little poopsies....

I was just in my Wal-Mart today and they had plenty - even picked up one of those larger plush Rainbow Dashes so he could join Pinkie and Twilight. Last year, there was next to nothing! There's hope!

Welcome back, where you affected by Sandy at all?  We had trees down but power was only out for 24 hours.  We where lucky.

You only lost power for 24 hours? You ARE lucky! We were without power for about 6 days. 6 days never felt so long before in my LIFE! We had a lot of trees down on my street and were stuck b/c we live on a dead end. It definitely could've been worse, our house was fine and we had no major damage. Glad you guys fared ok, as well!

Queen Eclipsia, I have saved searches for Ebay too but they take forever send out the e-mails to me! Usually the good BINs are gone by the time I get the e-mail.

Ooohhhhh...that would explain why I *rarely* get any BIN results in the saved searches emails. Guess you just have to be on the prowl all the time....thanks for the info! I need to be more vigilant!

Well, if they'd done a one second google search, they would have seen how high her price can go.  I can't feel sorry for someone who doesn't do their due dilligence.  It's not up to the buyer to inform the seller that their item is grossly under priced.

I kind of agree...and boy am I green with envy! How luckkkyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Now I'm wondering why I never even got an email that she was posted up on ebay? I have a saved search for Rapunzel...hmmm

Hey everyone! I feel like the introductions forum is probably the best place to put this post. I haven't been on here in what feels like FOREVER! Now that the holidays are over, I can turn my attention back to my pony collecting/restoring habit. LOL.
Anyway, hello again! I missed you guys!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!

Love,
Denise :)
