Oh yeah, I forgot that was coming out this week. I want to see how that gets reviewed, but I am definitely intrigued and will likely pick it up. :)

I don't bother with a bra unless I'm going out and wearing something tight or sheer. I hate bras. I'm far more likely to put some type of tank or cami under my clothes if I can get away with it. Also, underwire bras annoy me to no end--they like to jab me after a few wears. Pass.

My boyfriend and I have been together for nearly 10 years now (June 22nd). We'd probably be married if I wasn't from Canada and he from the US. That stuff can be pretty complicated. But we are happy together and have held on this long--we'll make it.

On my own I've been playing Miitopia on the 3DS. My bf and I have been playing a lot of World of Warcraft, too.

Belle since I'm an author and a bookworm and she's been my favorite since childhood. Cinderella because she is far more interesting than most give her credit for and because her true strength is her kindness--something which is often overlooked in modern storytelling because it doesn't seem as 'strong'. Rapunzel because of her inquisitive and spunky personality and because she is willing to sacrifice for those she cares for. (While what she is willing to sacrifice is not as large as what Flynn thinks he will need to give up, it is still an active decision and made me really admire her.)

I picked Malificent, Ursula, and Frollo. Very hard to narrow it down since i adore many of the villains in Disney films.

Awesome CD collection. I do most of my music ditgitally now, but I can certainly relate to wanting to have lots of albums and to liking albums rather than just hits.

I use my debit card about 90% of the time and PayPal about 10% of the time. I use to mostly use cash, but most of my stuff is done from home and I finally got my own bank account a couple years ago so I've come to like debit a lot better.

I'm going to try to continue last year's resolution; writing a summary of my day each night! I was able to do it last year, and I think it's had a good effect on me, so I want to continue! It helps to separate one day from the next and makes it easier to remember things. Also, routine is good!

I bought a horizontal Erin Condren Life Planner last year and started doing that. I got my new one for 2018 and am excited to continue. As an author, I tell stories about other peoples' fictional lives every day--why shouldn't I record my own story, too? Plus, it can be helpful to track when things happen or what is coming up (in the notes section each week or on the monthly calendar view).

Off Topic / Re: Netflix series: Toys That Made Us
« on: January 02, 2018, 06:37:44 AM »
This series is fabulous! I really enjoyed the episodes on Barbie, Star Wars and He-Man / She-Ra.

Spoiler
I did want to throw things when one of the He-Man guys suggested that its possible the decline of the brand happened because little boys felt that He-Man was devalued by little boys once little girls had She-Ra because the moment girls have the same power as boys, that power becomes worthless. In my opinion, the fact that there was He-Man and She-Ra makes MOTU one of the best kids brands ever created, because siblings could actually play together and have some common ground... I had two brothers, so toy lines that had things for both boys and girls were way more popular with us than gender-gated toy lines. It's not that I ever had a problem playing male characters--I played April, Leonardo and Master Splinter when we did Ninja Turtles--but having such a level of equal representation for the sake of fun, rather than extreme politics as it would be about today, was / is refreshing.

Spoiler
While I don't think what Rose did near the end of the film was smart, I do think it fit her narrative and made things come full circle. I'm sure she was not happy about her sister dying, and when she saw what Finn was trying to do its possible that she could not bear the idea of losing someone else--regardless of the consequences she would have seen if she had been thinking rationally. That doesn't make her choice okay, but perhaps it makes it more understandable.
