Wasn't there a smaller SongbirdSerenade brushable that was supposed to be out? Where is she at?

That's in the Wave 3 of the All Abouts. Don't think those are out anywhere yet. I still haven't found Wave 2 near me yet, though I know others have found Wave 2 in the past few weeks. There's also gonna to be another in 2 character packs, a different normal Songbird will be with Twilight.

Are you talking about this one?

I found her at Kohls of all places last week. I didn't realize until I took her out of the package that her wings are on ball joints so you can pose them. Very neat!

Oh! She's cute! Must go check KOHL's! Thank you for the heads up. How much was she?

She was about $7 which I kind of balked at until I realized that she has accessories and poseable wings. I'm very happy with her now! I think those extra touches added a lot of fun the figure.

Pony Corral / Re: Minnesota Winter Party! Sunday December 10th!

Will we ever see PQ again in her own house? I hope you're having fun though!

Anyway, Sundays are usually pretty clear for me so unless a family holiday party suddenly changes dates, I should be able to make it.

Pony Corral / Re: Where do you host images of your ponies??

Perhaps a Wordpress site would work for you? Their free plan comes with 3 gigs of space which will probably be enough storage. I've been using their blog for years and love how much customization you can do with it.

If 3 gigs isn't enough, you could also get Backblaze's B2 in addition which is a basic and dirt cheap cloud storage that also lets you use it as an image host. You do need to be somewhat computer savvy to use it though.

Is anyone going to the MLP movie on opening night? I want to go to a theater with the special popcorn buckets, and woyld be open to coming up the southern part of the cities.
If no one else is going, i will go to Mankato- their website shows they have the buckets.

Thoughts?

I would love to go as a group! Do you know what theaters are going to have the special buckets?

Customs / G4 Waverunner
« on: September 12, 2017, 09:28:24 AM »
I got a "well loved" Rainbow Dash at the last pony meet I went to and decided to change her to a G4 Waverunner!

She was pretty grimy and I was surprised to find that the red marker left the worst stains, not the purple one.

And here she is completed, but still uncoated.

I eyeballed painting the eyeballs so they're not perfect, but I think they came out pretty well regardless. I think a few sprays of sealant will help smooth out the texture of the brush marks. I hope so, at least. Even if it doesn't, I'm pretty happy with how she came out and just wanted to share.  :art:

Thanks again for all the organizers hard work! It was a ton of fun, as usual. :D

haha No, I don't recall owing anyone a leg.

I forgot to sign up for a potluck item! I'll bring some popcorn if that's alright. :)

I love Buttons and the theme for your sewing room!  The TAF Buttons is my favorite.

There are two NSS variants and an Argentina variant.  Here is a link for you

That Argentinian Buttons is beautiful! Thank you for the link.

They're not factory, but I saw that someone had made customs of the G1 Secret Surprise ponies to be pin cushions because they were missing the plastic backs.  I'm sorry, I don't remember who it was or if it was just something I came across on eBay, but you could try to hunt one of those down, I guess.
Those would definitely be useful. That's a really creative way to handle the missing parts problem too. An MLP themed pincushion would be really cute.

I'm doing a massive herd thinning right now, but some of the ponies that are definitely safe are these girls:

I call them my sewing room mascots. Does anyone else have a "mascot" or a themed collection to match certain rooms in their house?

And also, am I missing any other button/sewing themed ponies?

Would it be possible to label foods with dairy in them?

My husband is pretty confident he won't have to work on the weekend of the meet so I should be there. :D I'm thinning my herd by a lot, plus my husband is giving me a few Transformers to sell. I thought someone might be interested in those?

Man, herd thinning is hard though... I keep picking up ponies and saying, "nooo I can't, I love her." Then putting them back down. lol

Pony Corral / Re: New MLP Nail Polish

Is anyone else having trouble with the MLP polish not lasting or chipping?

Ponyfan

Are you using a base coat and/or a top coat? I used Gelous for a base coat and Out The Door for a top coat. I painted my nails on Friday and as of Tuesday night, they still look perfect.

I'm not using a base coat but I am using China Glaze Fast Forward top coat for the top coat. I thought I put the polish on too thick yesterday so I took off and had two coats of MLP polish and a top coat of Fast Forward. After a couple of hours the top coat weakened and started  to flake off in large pieces taking the nail color underneath with it,  Maybe I'm using the wrong type of top coat?

Ponyfan

Weird! I've never used that top coat before so I can't say for sure if that's the issue. I've used China Glaze polishes for several years now without any problem though. I actually own around 50 bottles. lol  I guess I'd try using a basecoat and a different brand of top coat next time to see if that makes any difference. Humidity might also be a factor.
