Welcome!!! By reading your screen name I could tell which author you like. I'm a huuuuuuge Anne Rice fan myself! What's your favorite book?
And, what's your favorite pony? I hope you can rebuild your childhood herd soon. I remember how I felt when I discovered ponies on ebay for the very first time, I think that was in 2004.
Well, as a fan you must be thrilled about the new book this fall... i am. My fav book is hard to tell, I loved The Queen of the Damned, but Blood and Gold too, and the last one is epic, even if i hate what they did to my character... the books with ancient vampires and stories from the beginning are the best, for me.
About ponies, it would be so hard to pick just one... when i travel i always take one of them with me, but it is never the same one, so that they don't get jalous. I guess it would be a unicorn, that for sure, but which one... hard to tell... when i was a child i loved so much Coco Berry, so now i got my hand on 2. And they still smell!!! I have only one more to have the ones i did when little, i only had 5, plus 2 that my sister had, and she never played with them!
Now i try to get all the ones i like from G1. And it might never end aince some of them i started to customize them, so... i guess i'll be around for a while. The funny thing is i ran into some fellow ebayers here, from whom i had already bought ponies haha!

I take pictures of them, i place them home following a specific order in my head (which some people may not understand) and I have a file on my ipad and phone with the names, gender, picture and powers if they are unicorns, divided in genders, race, type and age... I place them as "movie ponies", unicorn, pegasi, earth ponies, flutter ponies, baby ponies, sea ponies, windy wing ponies, male ponies and hybrids (customized). All have their names, pictures, and misc. stuff i need to remember...
I see i am not the only one getting freaky with it :-)

Hello and welcome! Don't worry, there are a lot of members here who are male, and you're not even the only one who had ponies of his own as a child! So you're in excellent company here.  :good:
Thanx for your welcome, I guess I'm not the only one from France either, I've been looking around the forum and I find it really amazing. All the wonderful ideas, comments and people talking, it is really nice. And as you say one feels less alone seing others that share their same tastes on toys.
I would say, the pony universe depicted in the eighties was really nice, and I grew up watching them, so it is part of who I am. And being able to collect most of the ponies from the tv show is really Funny, thanx ebay!

Hi everyone, thanx for accepting me to this forum I found on the net through am article from a mlp collector.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Santiago, my nickname is from a character from a book by Anne Rice. I am a guy (guess there must be more guys here, i hope). I am spanish, but i live in France by Switzerland. I met the Ponies when I was a little boy, and I had the chance to own 5 of them, which got lost along the way. A year ago i found the ebay sellers and from that time till now i have been able to found back some part of my childhood through these little toys i cherished So much back then.
Anyway, if you have any suggestions, questions or whatever, feel free to ask me. I would really like to meet and chat with other fellow collector as me (even if i don't consider myself as one true collector)
Have a nice day everyone.

By the way, I forgot to say, my fav are the G1, actually I only collect them. And I have done some light customizations on some of them. I'd love to share more experiences about that with more skilled people :-)
