ZOMFG! I love shoes and those are fabulous! I love the bright colors so much!! I have a lot of semi-crazy shoes. I don't think they're that crazy, but when you show up for your shift at the comic book store with totally kick-butt heels, people tend to notice! And yes, I can do an 8-hour shift on my feet while wearing heels - this seems to amaze people... Then again, most of the people I see in a day are men... and they just don't get it....

I'm in the "not sure" category. I think I want kids, but it's someday and I'm not sure when (or even if) it'll happen. If it does, I will, no doubt be happy about it. I've always wanted to be a mom, but to me it's more of an issue of being a fit provider. My husband and I could probably not adequately provide for little ones right now, but I realize and understand that. However! I love my nieces! My sister's oldest daughter is the light of my life and (not to be over-dramatic) but I probably wouldn't be alive without her. She's only three, but I'm amazed at the joy, light and optimism that she's brought into my life! She's my buddy and we even started playing ponies together (my sister just recently handed her ponies down). My family always assumed that I would have kids before my sister did (I'm kinda mother-y) and it was the craziest thing when she finally told us she was expecting #1. She's my star, and my light and I never knew I could love another human being the way I love her (to the point I'm getting teary-eyed as I type this)! So even if I don't ever have my own children, at least I'll always have Gwen. Though, sometimes I really wonder what it would be like to have my own, because everything tells me I would love my own children so differently from my niece (I don't know it it's right to say more than). I actually wonder if I could love another human being that much. Sounds kinda crazy when I say that out loud....

I used to do a lot of photography (mostly non-moving subjects)... Then I got into cosplay and seem to be more likely to be used as a model than a photographer... Here's some cosplay photos I did for friends: Bioshock Splicer visitors can't see pics , please register or loginFemGarrus Gender-bent thingie from Mass Effect visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI started with flowers, though: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginThis is a picture of, possibly, the biggest love of my life (my niece) and this picture blows my mind, since she's 3 now: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd as a bonus, since I mentioned modeling! This is me, in my favorite costume, modeling for my favorite photographer (my big sister, she's freakin' incredible)! I hope that's okay!! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginIf anyone is curious, it's Morrigan from Dragon Age: Origins I have more photography on my deviantart page, too!

I apologize in advance! I love taking pictures, so I got going and.... well... I feel like it's a lot for my small collection! I initially just had a handful of G4, blind bags and some G3's I found at Goodwill. As I started... acquiring... more they all kind of got stuck in the same spot. I'd like to move them to someplace that's just for them, but for now I don't have a spot. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThis is the whole shelf... with some of the other things I collect (yes... I consider it collecting cookbooks ) visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginYou can see my Deerling (from Pokemon and yes, I have all four because I have awesome friends) peeking out as if asking why I don't display them. I think I'll need to post mine, when there's more light and I can take an actual picture. My display is nothing impressive. I have a bit of G1, G3, and G4. I have them stuck onto a bookshelf, anywhere I could get them to fit. I also have quite a few blind bags (though not NEARLY as many as some on here). I'm addicted to anything that comes in cute little packages that doesn't let me know what's in them!

I ended up with more pictures that I intended, because the sun was just starting to set when I sat down to do this, and the lighting in my apartment was getting funny.... Also! A few of these JUST came home with me today, so their hair is kinda crazy, still! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI dunno what it is about the white bodied twinkle eyes! I think they are just so pretty! Gingerbread was my first pony I decided to buy when I knew I wanted to collect! Also, they're hangin' out with my Marcus Fenix statue (from Gears of War). It's okay, though, he's normally hanging out with my tiny Deerling Pokemon visitors can't see pics , please register or loginNovember birthflower (I'm a November baby, so I NEEDED her), and Sugarberry! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI was having a hard time getting a picture of Princess Tiffany with the rest of my ponies, so here she is perched in my pot of succulent plants! I just brought her home today, because I'm completely in love with her! But now I'm convinced I need a Baby Princess Sparkle to go with her visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd just because I could, because I have a mommy and baby combo! I need to forget the cellphone and break out my actual camera, and play!

My custom, Syrah. I'm nearly finished a green/white grape version of her now
This is so pretty, it makes me think of a very lovely glass of red wine... and now I really want a glass of wine!

Oh man! This makes me wish I could decide what I wanted (and had the money) for a tattoo right now! All I know is it's going to be something video game related with black feathers behind it (either a COG symbol from Gears of War, Grey Warden Griffon from Dragon Age, or Spectre symbol from Mass Effect)

I dye my hair a few times a year. I do a natural color, and then bleach the underside (which I wear as a pretty pink to purple gradient). Since you've dyed your hair, I'll quick go through that, too. First of all I'm kinda crazy about my hair care. I do not, and will not bleach my own hair. I have my hairdresser do it when she does the rest of my color. I have pretty non-oily hair, so after I get it colored I can usually make it a week before washing my hair (it just helps the color set). For my gradient I just use Manic Panic, which is a hair stain (and I need to touch up frequently) but doesn't damage my hair at all. I don't buy expensive hair care products, for the most part, but stick to products for color treated hair. I use a deep conditioner, at least, once a month. Right now I use (and LOVE) the L'Oreal EverSleek line's deep conditioner, it makes my hair super silky and smells really good. I have natural-curly hair that I will straighten from time to time, so if I cause any added heat-stress to my hair, I deep condition when I next wash my hair. I'm, apparently, doing something right, because my hair stylist is actually impressed with how good condition my hair is in with being bleached and my occasional straightening.
Also! If your hair is dry DO NOT over wash your hair! I have dry skin more than dry hair, and get a very very itchy scalp if I shower too often. If you happen to be like me and have dry to normal skin, I can honestly get away with showering every 5-7 days in the winter time, and 2 or 3 times a week in the summer (depending on what I've been doing) - and even then I won't always wash my hair, but sometimes just condition.

I was recently reunited with my TAF Up, Up and Away, who is in need of some serious TLC. The one thing, though, was her hair seemed in pretty good condition but it was white. I was driving myself crazy, because I swore she'd had pink hair! I finally was able to confirm, yes, she had pink hair and it has completely faded. I want to restore it but I'm curious if I'm better off to try re-dying it with Rit dye, or to just rehair her entirely. I even found the right shade on dollyhair, when I wasn't even looking for it. I'm a novice to this stuff and haven't done either, but am interested in learning how to rehair ponies. I won't lie, I am leaning one way, but that just may be because I don't know everything I should Can I just get opinions and pros & cons of each? Thank you all, so much, in advance!

These are really helpful comments, as I have been wondering some of the same!
I was wondering though, everyone says to wait between coats. What's a good guideline for waiting? I know working with acrylics, the recommendation is usually 12-24 hours. Is this a safe time range, or does having the paint thinned change how long you should wait?
