The Dollhouse / Re: Monster High Customized Spectra..Timeless Ghost
« on: February 04, 2012, 08:50:28 PM »
Oh thank you guys, I really appreciate it. I did her to help me cope with some emotional issues I was having and I think I poured all my unsettled emotions into her. Now I love her for helping me find relief. I got the cutest itty bitty tiny cameo necklace for her in the mail today...It finishes her off perfectly, I'll have to update with pics of it it's great. I really like the variation from ponies...I think I'd like to start doing dolls as a regular part of my customizing hobby as well. :D Thanks for all the positive feedback, hope to have more fun dolls to show in the future ^.^

I know one difference. If you are sensative at all you might have problems with apoxy sculpt. Every time I use it, even if I absolutely saturate my hands with lotion before hand I will wake myself up digging and scratching at my hands because of how bad and deep they itch. Also? I get a response on my chin and throat that is much the same, that last for days, from the fumes it seems to put off even when I don't touch my face. >.>

Hey guys, trying to sell some customs here, need to finish fulfilling some obligations and get my dogs dental procedure done so hoping to sell them soon. Please let me know if you are interested! Prices do not include shipping.
Belly dancer girl is for sale for $35.00. her outfit is hand made, as are MOST of her accessories [minus the bracelet on her right wrist]. This doll will come with a normal doll stand as well as her custom one, unless you'd rather have one or the other.

Ok I have no excuse for this other than my own amusement..So we're gonna pretend she was a pirate and lost her eye, then a vampire turned her...And somewhere along the way she developed a sexy sense of style. lol. She will come with a stand, and customized shoes that will match her outfit [hard to see in the picture though]. Eye patch is non removable [you could but it would be hard lol]. I realize now that one fang is smaller than the other, that will be fixed before she goes to her new home. :D She is for sale for $20.00

Hey guys, I just had a quick question for you.  I know that a lot of people have seemed interested in this doll, and i was just wondering, what would you pay for something like this? The dress was custom made, thirty dollars in its own right, not to mention the hair purchased, the doll...So, what would something like this be worth to you? It's ok to be honest, after all I did this doll for myself so I wasn't planning on making any money on her, but for future reference, I just wondered ^.^ Also, do you prefer your custom dolls come costumed, or nude to save on cost? Anyone who can help with their opinion is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Just another update picture...My mom said she thought the doll needing a finishing touch, and i found this woman on etsy that makes tiny cameo necklaces...It looks perfect, and I'm thrilled. Just thought I'd add a picture. If anyone would like the shop names of the seamstress who made the dress [she does bjd dresses, monster high..gothic lolita usually] or the person who made this necklace, please drop me a message I'd be happy to send you their way.

I've been waiting for her dress for a few weeks, it was custom made by a wonderful seamstress on etsy. Now that it's here, I'm excited to show her off. She is a ghost, obviously, and I was attempting to keep her makeup and colors muted and shimmery, to aid in the ghostly appearance. I love how she came out. Rehairing was a time consuming pain though..Give me a pony over a doll any day lol.

I've cut the clips off mine, and I'm getting ready to hot glue them to her new wig I just bought, so they look rooted in the wig :D

Are you removing from the hip or the knee? If you remove from the knee you can basically break or cut the lower leg off, then drill the plug out of the hole..It pops out after a while XD SUPER TINY drill bit, super careful hand..

I would say as far as the joints in her hips, maybe pulling out the current mechanisms, and filling the hip socket with some sort of semi-flexible molding compound [or maybe the type that you make molds out of that IS flexible], then maybe press the joint of the cam leg in and let it dry ?

I'm actually most curious about Goyle. Lol. I wanna see how they translate that to their unique and quirky form of pretty.

I lost a forty dollar pony to my puppy once because my ex left the bedroom door open and knocked a pony off and didn't pick it up...dogs can't tell the difference between their toys and ours lol. It is frustrating but it's definately a lesson well learned XD
