The only time I've ever found a G1 'in the wild' was when I had to attend school in Perth for six months due to my Dad's job. It was abject misery of being bullied and away from all my friends, but there were tiny good things that happened along the way, like when the Year 7s decided to have some kind of thrift market day. We kept the donation bin in our classroom and most of the stuff was donated junk, either broken toys, dirty clothes/stuffed animals (had to throw away one with puke on it) or McDonalds toys, but suddenly a pony appeared in the bin one day! Needless to say, on stall day, I kept her artfully hidden until I was able to purchase her. I don't remember how much she was, but I came away with Sweetsteps Ballerina Posey Rose! Interestingly enough, she's wearing pony makeup (purple eyeshadow and pink lipstick), which may or may not be the stuff that was actually packaged with the ponies at one point!

For 1997 (G2) I'd choose the Pretty Parlor version of Ivy, who is indeed a favourite of mine <3

I started collecting at age 10, I think? All G3s, then I found G1 Posey Rose when I was about 13-14 in a rummage sale, so I didn't really have any early childhood ponies per-say

Hello! I have a tiny collection and am not the wealthiest person around, so I'm generally happy to accept ponies in not-so-perfect condition. Marks are fine, as long as they're not major (generally ones around the face/head/neck are ones I consider 'major'), faded hair is fine and cuts/dents on the body. No or minor haircuts though. I'm in Queensland, Australia with the postcode of 4061 <3 US G1

Ponyland, if you were wanting to buy a G1 pony mold, there is someone on this forum (which I frequent) selling two G1 head molds (steel molds?); http://ghostofthedoll.co.uk/Forum/index.php?topic=4263.0 I just thought you might be interested

Let's see... I'll do favourites for my favourite generations... (G1) SA Heart Throb - Assuming she came out at the same time as the US version (1984-85) I would've been -12.... (G2) Copper Glow - She came out in 2001 so I was four. (G3) Waterfire - She came out in 2005 so I was like... Eight? I still don't own any of them

I absolutely love these things! Sadly Starcastles didn't make it to my country as far as I know and postage is expensive so I must admire them from afar

Ahh, so jealous! I love G2 more than any other generation but strangely enough they're the only generation that I don't own an example of - you're so lucky!

The fairy reminds me of Stormy from Winx Club - same hair, same attitude

I 'kinda' collect them meaning I have a grand total of two. Clash sans her tights and her bracelets and 1st Ed. Jerrica/Jem missing... well, everything apart from her blue and white striped dress but with a beautiful face and hair that's still pink :3

LittleSpiffy, that's great to know, especially the rubber bands trick :3 I'm now considering gluing the cracks together with craft glue, like you've done, and perhaps adding a layer of Modge Podge over top once the glue has dried?

I watched the trailer and GOOD GOD it looks like it's shaping up to be an abomination of a film. I'm pretty sure if all of the fans got together and made a movie it would be infinitely better than this... There are literally so many things wrong with it that I can't even name all of them....

I'm pretty fond of this show. I love the visuals and colours, and have watched all of the episodes up to date but some parts are just difficult to watch; mainly the ones where there is some kind of emotional turmoil going on because I always feel the same way on the character's behalf. It's always been like this for me, and it's bad enough that I can't watch many live-action films and such because I don't like the characters being more relatable. Animation is easier, but still difficult at times... As for a favourite gem, I like Rose Quartz, Lapis Lazuli and Pearl's designs, but I don't feel like I 'know' them well enough yet to say that they're my favourite character.... I'd also love for Turquoise to appear at some point because that's my birthstone <3

Probably a vintage 1970s roller disco top/jacket thing. Everyone who's laid eyes on it thinks that it's an ungodly abomination but I love it (never get to wear it though)
