I can't remember what G3 I had as a child that wound up being first, but I'd like to say it was Starswirl or sparkleworks?
When I got into collecting, the first I purchased was G4 fluttershy. I wanted to have a G4 from the show so badly, and it evolved from there!

My first best friend in secondary school bought me a G3 cotton candy as a christmas present. We plaited her hair that day and even 3 years later, she still sits happily among my herd. I won't ever get rid of her. I'm still friends with that girl today c:

Wow, that's a lot of ponies! I've slowly been working through mine, but they mostly need their hair washed. Not as hefty as some of yours, it's just a small box of mostly G3's, with some G2 and 4 Mcponies. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Initially I played with G3's as a kid, nearly sold the lot. I kept them once I started watching FiM, and stuck them on a shelf with my tiny G4 herd. I branched out, learning about the other gens, and decided to collect them all. I'm still at an age where playing with toys is 'acceptable', I guess? So there's the innocence. It's also an escape-I can sit down and play with my ponies and it's like I'm 7 again without a care in the world. The community is awesome and the ponies are so darn cute, so there's no reason to leave for me. Either way, I love it!

Aah! It's so hard to chose. From my childhood, it was probably Sapphire Shores and Starcather. They were both the best ponies in my herd, and always the ones I picked to play with first, but now I'd have to say Tex and Gusty.
