Payment: in order of preference
paypal, POSTAL money orders (US or International), gift cards, my little pony, wishlist items
http://gothicsugarart.tumblr.com/barter

Shipping: paid by the buyer if ordering traditional media, free for digital media.  I prefer to keep shipping limited to the US due to postal fees. If you live outside of the US, then please note that shipping will be expensive and it may be better to order a digital art piece.  (Canada and Mexico may have lower rates.)

Other important stuff:
I try to keep my commissions fair but affordable, so I don't really haggle unless we're trading ponies/gift cards.
An easy way to purchase commissions is by going through my online store at http://gothicsugarart.storenvy.com or messaging me here or via tumblr.

To work out trading go to http://gothicsugarart.tumblr.com/barter  or to http://mymlp.tumblr.com/wishlist for my MLP wishlist.  I'm currently working on my exchange rates;

I really like the Wonderbolts shirt.  I think it could actually work as is, though the other design for it with a different shirt color would give buyers another option.

For the day spa, it's kind of hard to see through the watermark.  But I like the cleanliness of it.  Maybe try a vector styled portrait with the sisters?

I'm still taking commissions and trades, but this is also serving as an art thread for me so here are some updates.

These are so cute.  I'd be interested in a trade if you don't mind.  I'll pm you.

*edit: Also, I've seen ATC's at varying prices.  The original ones tend to go from $5+ and printed ones are usually $2-$3.

Arts & Crafts Corral / Freebies and Commission Sale
« on: February 01, 2014, 07:32:36 PM »
Hi, everyone.  Rather than starting up a new thread, I figured I'd keep this one going as an art thread and commission update thread.  (also helps me to keep my art in one place.)

Anyway, I'm open for commissions and am offering freebies to go with them.

Please note that all prices include US shipping and will have tracking and insurance.  Overseas orders will unfortunately cost more and need to be shipped priority mail to guarantee delivery and insurance.

All subject matter (be it furry, anime styled people, ponies, et cetera) traditional pieces are  available for:

$35 for one character/figure with a full background in full color
$45 for two characters/figures with a full background in full color

Available media are; color pencils or watercolor (will look more loose) on acid free card stock.

I will also include with each order;

2 free pencil drawings for commissions paid in full by 9/18/2014
1 free pencil drawing for commissions paid in full by 10/01/2014

I accept paypal and postal money orders in US funds and begin work in the order that I am paid (I start after receiving payment).

I'll offer up a preliminary sketch to work out any details and all edits must be made to the first sketch before I start on coloring.

Please enjoy the art samples below and consider commissioning me.

I can draw in G1/G4 style or rather my own version of those styles.

 Please note that all digital art pieces are shown for samples only as I can't produce digital art at this time.

I also like the big ears.  To make it less G4, I would say try taking some of the roundness out of the head and play with the leg to body proportions.  But changing the head shape would probably do the most for you.

The feet are a nice touch.  On the second piece as well, try to make the stomach just a bit more round like you did on the first one.  Over all, really good start.

My first was Scoops and the Satin Slipper Sweet Shoppe that I got at Christmas.  I must have been four years old according to the year it came out.

I was curious to know how much these would go for at resale because I'd be able to fund my own collection.

Crystal Jewel Salon Twilight & Cadence

Travel Set

I don't really know if she's one people are looking for because she isn't someone I'm trying to collect, but I don't see her everywhere.

I think it's based on how you'd feel if that pony weren't there.  Personally, I sold off some that I thought I wouldn't miss and now I do, so take that into consideration.  If it's one that you probably wouldn't really ever display after figuring out who you'd want to display, then get rid of those if that makes sense.  Like, the ponies you've got in storage; if you're thinking "Oh, I'd love to have that out someday" then don't let it go.
