Customs / Re: Pink Dreams Custom [Fakie love lol]
« on: February 08, 2012, 12:54:45 PM »
Thanks guys. I think it's super adorable my mom was sneaking around making pony wings [simple as they may be] for a pony while I was working. I didn't have the heart not to put them on her when she showed them to me lol

This little girl was too cute to bait, even though she has a few little highlighter marks. My mom made the wings while I was at work...She thought she needed something more. They are transluscent with sparkles Lol. They pull out and don't leave noticable marks where they were though. Anyone wanna give her a new home for the cost of shipping only?

I would say one thing you could do is shave off the square piece around the plug. If only the plug is going in the hole you should be able to swivel it side to side, but then you would have kind of a gap in her back around the tail insert :/

Lovely pics everyone! However, I can tell you first hand [well my ex could], what happens if you forget a pony in the snow...We walked the same street every morning to work, and one morning walking through the snow [that had been there a few days] he saw a bright pink thing that looked suspiciously like a pony. Well, someone had forgotten she was out there playing in the snow, or tossed her out..Either way, she couldn't have been there more than ten hours [since he'd walked the same street home the night before], and the side of her body that was down against the snow was a completely different color. She USED to be one of the hot pink matte body g3's. Now she's like two face. One side is hot pink, and the other side is this pale pale peachy pink that looks like a vegetable bunnicula sucked all the juice out of. So be careful not to leave them in the snow! lol.

Customs / Re: deflocking and repair/ custom: to be or not to be?!
« on: February 05, 2012, 06:50:36 PM »
personally, my deflocked truly [complete with one stain to her shoulder] is one of my favorite ponies, and i was sure I'd be so dissapointed when I got all the nasty grummy flocking off of her that was so stained and messy. But she cleaned up very nicely, so I'm fully in support of deflocking ponies, especially if you grow to love them more because of it. As far as baby moondancer...She was my first custom , namely for the same reasons. She is SO common, and seems to consistantly have so many aging issues, I'd say go ahead and customize her. If someone protests, you could always offer to trade her to them for a bait pony that they deem more common or customizable..But personally, i say go for it on both counts. :D

Ok well we'll go with the newest one first. Tattoo styled valentines G4. She's for sale for $15.00. Shipping is not included in that price

Next is an Astral themed pony jewelry [or storage] box. I made her for a girlfriend who decided she didn't have the space anymore, so she's now up for sale. Her legs are filled with apoxy sculpt, making it so that tiny objects placed inside can't be lost. Her saddle is removable as you can see. She was sculpted with apoxy sculpt and painted with acrylics. She is for sale for $25.00, shipping not included.

Next is Blind Mag. I made her a few years ago. I have had several people interested in buying her, had me put her on hold, then I never heard from them again. I've moved several times since then, and so before she manages to take a tumble and break into a billion pieces I want to find her a new home. She is for sale for $18.00. As you can see in the pictures she was a previously loved pony with some little tiny highlighter dots on her legs and chest [I didn't notice them before I took her outside so they aren't HIGHLY noticable]

There's always the options of doing the floss and needle method [I switched to this after the fourth rehairing needle I broke lol], but if you are looking to get the hair super thick, you may STILL have to widen the holes like talked about above.

Here are a couple of stores I've been looking at on etsy. One is directed more towards the less volumptious dolls [like ellowyne] http://www.etsy.com/shop/oursweetcreations?ref=seller_info the other is super sexy/cute stuff for dolls with a small waist and a fuller chest lol! http://www.etsy.com/shop/DivasbyDesignFashion?ga_search_submit=&ga_search_query=evangeline+ghastly&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_spelling_corrected=evangaline+ghastly&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade

There are lots of people here who offer rehairing service. But if you wanted to save yourself some money there are plenty of tutorials that make it easy to learn how  to do it yourself. ^.^ Otherwise, giving this a bump for you

You can also straighten the hair with some hair straighteners, but it needs to be ceramic, and on a heat setting of...1. That's right. 1. lol Glue the gills in? I've had two different versions and they both did this. Makes it easier to get pants on her I guess lol
