I am one of the very few that would not buy that LOL..but I don't fix up ponies a whole lot and by the time I fixed that I could have just bought one off of a seller for a little less...but I admire people who fix the ponies up.

My niece who is turning 7 this month told me in December that she really loves Pegasus ponies. She is my little "MLP" fan. Each one of my nieces loves something I love. This one is the pony girl. So, I got to thinking I would try to get her some MIB G3 Pegasus ponies but, her mom can't really tell me a thing about what she already has. My thought was to get early Pegasus ponies then...early ones that she most likely would not have. I have not really paid much attention to dates on G3 ponies. So I was hoping some of you may have some good early pony suggestions. Please help if you can.

I think a lot of this depends on what kind of pony you bought, what color is she? Who is she? Some methods for cleaning are not safe for colored ponies. Other methods can cause damage to symbols...so maybe you could post a photo of the pony you have..some marks will not be easy to remove no matter what you do. Hair is easy to fix. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is safe to use on all ponies to try to remove some marks that have not already bled into the plastic. It can't be used over painted surfaces such as symbols eyes and other characteristics of that sort, because it will literally remove the painted symbols or features. So be careful to keep it away from anything painted on the pony. Also remember if you ever want to sell this pony in the future removing the head might be an issue in getting a good price. There are a lot of people that will not buy ponies who no longer have factory glued heads. If you have no plans to sell it and its going to remain a part of your collection then you have nothing to lose by removing the head. Some ponies already have loose heads when I buy them and it doesn't bother me, but I have friends that will not ever buy ponies without factory glued heads..just something to consider. Whenever we fix anything vintage toy or doll the least amount of intervention the better to make the toy nicer but not change its value is my motto.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this or not, but I like to know if the head is factory glued down or not. I buy ponies with loose heads all of the time...but I like to know so I can ask about the inside of the pony to check for rehairing. I also get frustrated when sellers fail to mention the pony can't stand like it should. That issue has been so hard for me to fix. Also odors...people fail to mention these ponies smell like mold and sometimes they look wonderful on the outside but are a greenhouse on the inside.

Oh man I thought the rooster was new too because all I ever saw was the kiwi. Guess I won't own one unless it shows up in a bag at the thrift..all things are possible. Ha..

I found a little gray and white puppy with the typical vintage paw print on the collar. She has a pink like plastic bow thing on her head that holds on two fabric gray ears made out of fur. She is a shaggy looking type. Does this ring a bell to anyone as to who she might be? Her tongue is pink and sticking out and her collar is blue. I will try to get a photo up later. I am so tired today.
