I agree, it works when you put spaces, that what we've done previously when blocking more than 1 member.

I wouldn't pay the return shipping, she got free shipping to begin with... if she eascalated to a paypal dispute, they would just tell her to return it and for her to absorb the return shipping costs and she'd have to provide tracking info and then paypal would refund her the cost she originally paid you... I don't know how much the shipping set you back, but I would honestly just give her the $5 for the pony and be done with it, including blocking her from future sales... That's just my oppinion, life is too short to deal with that kind of bs.... ebay members like that just make me turn into an angerball lol

I'm realizing I don't know exactly how the star ratings work. In my opinion 4 stars is still a great rating, are seller actually penalized for recieving anything less than 5 stars? Thats just utterly stupid.

As far as the stars go, a seller is supposed to maintain an average of 4.80 per DSR category, so although in any other world 4 stars wouldn't be a bad thing, in ebay land, less than 5 stars slowly eats away at the seller until it officially dings them...

I despise that new pop up that comes up when you're viewing an item, I personally think it's supposed to make you feel an urgent need to bid or buy right away, it gives you the feeling that if that many people are viewing it, it must be popular, and therefore you better act first or you'll miss out on it...

Yes feedback for buyers needs revision as well, I just had a situation where I left a very well deserved negative feedback for a seller who was a complete nightmare to deal with, unprofessional, rude, a liar and a thief . Anyway the same day I left the feedback he got his friend to buy one if my items to mess with me and leave a negative for me. I would like to be able to leave that friend of his a negative too just for being immature and dishonest with him! However...Unfortunately for him I have been around eBay for years and I wasn't born yesterday so I refunded the girl immediately and I am canceling the sale. I mean what did he think I wouldn't notice the coincidence that they live 15 min away from each other and she has not purchased anything in over 3yrs and when she did back then it was exotic dance wear... Not ponies lol. eBay needs to revise the buyer and seller feedback systems so it is fair for both

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having problems like this, it really is sad, ebay used to be great, but I'm starting to think that I don't want to buy or sell on ebay, just because of all the changes and how things work.... We've had problems on both the buying and selling end of things, I have to say though, we always try to work things out, we don't leave negatives often if ever... and we always try to keep communication open at all times... As far as the star system goes, it's terrible... the shipping one is the biggest problem, because as someone earlier stated it's meant in regards to how long before it's shipped, not how long before it reaches you...
We had a seller that we purchased a special pony from and a week went by and our item still hadn't shipped, we contacted them and they apologized, something about multiple shippings and labels etc... We still gave them good everything because they were nice and apologetic etc... some buyers and sellers are so anti customer service that they shouldn't be a part of the ebay community lol...

My husband and I actually just had problem with a buyer last month, my husband and I used to collect cars (hotwheels and xmods specifically), we had already parted with a good portion of our collection with no problems... so we decide to list an xmod that's been upgraded and comes with a ton of extra including motors and BNIB items... needless to say that it was worth way more than it sold for... My husband tested everything to make sure it all worked before boxing it up and going to the post office, 4 days later the buyer sends us a message saying something along the lines of it doesn't power on and it doesn't turn... I responded back asking if he could be more clear, because if it can't turn on then obviously you can't steer, however if it powers on then the steering just needs to be adjusted, his response was that he wasnt a new transmitter, and we didn't know what he was talking about because they don't come with transmitters... we offered him a full refund minus return shipping or he could tell us exactly what he needed we would ship that to him at no cost to him... 3 weeks go by, no response, during this time we send him messages through ebay and email and nothing... then one day we see our feedback has dropped down and he's left us a neg in french! OMG, I was losing my mind, I'm on the phone with ebay complaining about how we tried to resolve a problem, I want the neg removed what can we do etc... their response was did you try and call them? Um hello? They speak french, I can speak it a little but not enough to carry on a full blown conversation, they put me on hold read through all of our back and forth messages, item description etc... and came back on and said, you did everything you could, you're not in the wrong, who cares if they leave you a neagtive... I was dumbfounded to say the least...
I ended up emailing the buyer again, this time in both english and french, and offered to fix whatever the problem was if only he'd tell us, but we need the feedback revised, i said he left it unfairly as we did everything we could and he was choosing to not resolve it... needless to say he revised it but left us low stars on everything... oh and still never sent anything back to us...
Paypal and ebay will always side with the buyer, it's part of their buyer protection program, even if you can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt the condition etc...
There really needs to be more protection for the sellers as well...
I hope you get this resolved soon... You weren't in the wrong, some people are just impossible to please.

I think because it states in the listing that she has some markings and she's restorable that you're not in the wrong, however I also believe that there are no guarantees when it comes to feedback and star ratings...
