I think we have to keep in mind that a lot of people think huge collections of anything are crazy with or without it being televised, so not much can help that. It would be cool for the idea of pony collecting to get some exposure, just to show "haters" (lol) that it's not so uncommon and weird, that other people do collect them. Then again, it may cause a huge change in things -- like the extreme couponing show has really changed couponing rules and cause a lot more people to started using coupons. :/ But that was a whole series. I dunno.

I'd do it, but I don't think my boyfriend would be comfortable with cameras in our home, and I just have a pony closet, not a pony room.

I haven't told my coworkers really. My one coworker Jose let it slip that he likes anime and everyone seemed to react negatively so I just decided to stay quiet about my ponies, lol.

My boyfriend isn't really in love with it, but he accepts it since I keep my ponies displayed in my closet. When he first heard about bronies, he was eager to tell me about it because he figured I'd be excited about it, so that was kinda cute. My boyfriend is a man of few words and very minimalistic so I gotta take it for what it is, lol.

My family... Even though they all collect things they don't support it anymore. They don't get that you don't buy them because you want to play with them (well, some people do, ), you get them to collect. MY G1s are an asset -- if I decide to sell, I could get a couple hundred dollars after all is said and done. They're vintage, and I love vintage things. I don't have a huuuge collection, and I don't spend that much on ponies. Months go by between purchases, so it annoys me that they care at all, but whatevs. My life, not theirs.

As long as you are reasonable about your collection -- if it makes you happy, why care? I gotta admit, I am jealous of people with supportive family... :/

Back in the early 2000s when I started for really real collecting (and by that I mean I was 11-12 years old and consciously decided to collect and learn more about G1s and discovered all the neat-o stuff on the internet) I was really good at pony names. Now I only really know the names of common ponies, and my favorite ones. I just can't keep it all in my head anymore.

I was hoping to RSVP, but I couldn't get the day off of work, so it would be pretty late in the day until I got there. Have fun, you ponies! Is there a PA meet, ever? I haven't seen anything as concrete and organized as the Maryland meet.
