Pony Corral / Re: Largest Yard Sale & Collectibles (Belleville,IL)

This sounds intriguing... I have never been to that show but I think it's one some friends were talking about last year. Are there a lot of people selling 80's toys or is it mostly more antique or expensive stuff?
The flea market has more organized sellers with higher priced items, but on a whole it's very very cheap. This is really more like a big yard sale in one place with people selling off their extras, although there are usually some of the flea market people there too.

Wish I could make a trip to Belleville again soon. I used to go to their monthly flea marketat the fair grounds. I found SO MANY awesome ponies from that place. This couple had a booth with tons of 80s toys and always had MLPs that I needed. I'd love to go see what they have. It's been a couple of years since I've been there.

Really? There's always one lady with her manky bin of ponies, but other than that I haven't had much luck the last few times.

So! What does everyone want to do? Lunch/dinner, shopping, hangout, movie?! Let's throw some ideas out there! I know a ton of good restaurants downtown and have pretty much staked out the location of every store that sells ponies  :P

I also think it would be kind of fun if we did a random mini swap, everyone brings a pony, any gen or kind, and then we randomly exchange them at the meet!

A G3.5 pinkie pie I found has a huge blue stain on her foreleg from a blue elastic that was there when I found her :(

Goodwill has awful shipping costs -  I bought one Breyer from there  a few years ago, and they charged me $10 to ship.

That does like a great lot of G3s  though. I have all the styling ponies but PP (well, I do have the 3.5 version).

Yup, shopgoodwill has killed me on shipping prices too, before - I bought a lot of g1s from them once and it cost something like $18 to ship, IIRC.  Good starting bids and insane shipping prices.

But it looks like you got a nice lot of g1s so it all evens out.  Congrats!  :)

I can't help feel like they skim a lot off the top with those high rates and the "handling fees". They need to start using flat rate postal boxes or something.

Other than that, great lot!

Bouquet, I'm trying to get all the Brush N' Grows. She's a little harder to find in nice condition, since she's white and marks show worse on her.

Oh me me! I have a pretty set schedule like Gusty, but I'm down for anything after 5 or on the weekends. It doesn't really matter to me what we do  :)

Love the pics so far! Your cosplay is super awesome sabathamk! Ribbs, can I use you as proof to convince my friends that there are attractive men out there who like ponies? ;P

Ok now I KNOW I've seen you at Value Village a few times. ;)
LOL have you really?? That's too funny!

Nice mlp collection, Rhini! I like how organized they are; almost look organized from first generation on top, to newest generations on the bottom.
Thanks! I actually just put them in there kind of randomly after I made the shelves, to see if they looked alright. I think I will do something similar to that though, since they conveniently get smaller as they go.

I applaud the valiant efforts of any child who swallows one of their toys, seeing as the toys (at least now) are encased in a plastic eggs themselves, which are extremely hard to get open and roughly the size of a small potato. If they got the egg open, it would be the same as any other toy with small parts, irrelevant of it having been inside a chocolate shell. Should we ban boxes because they may contain small parts inside? lol Apparently German children are not as stupid as they never seem to have a problem.

I hate it when the stupidity/greed of the few ruins everything for the rest of us. THIS IS WHY WE CANT HAVE NICE THINGS!

Are they illegal? o_O Because I know a local store that sells them year round by the carton-full lol

I've brought them into the country several times myself and never had any issue. I love those eggs! I like the bueno better though.

When I got mine way back when from the JCPenney outlet, a bunch of them had been ripped open and stolen :( It was kind of in a bad area, and it IS the kids section, which makes things even more prone to destruction, but man it sucked to see.

Definitely my Littlest pet shop stuff! Both old and new. I suppose I also collect stuffed animals in a manner, but I don't seek out specific ones I just get ones I like as I find them. I have over 600 at this point  :P

:jawdrop: where the heck do you keep them??
About 2/3 are at my parent's house, I have a walk in closet there and they line the shelves and there's a pile on the floor. I have pretty much the same thing going here, some stay on my bed and the others live in the closet on the shelves :)
