I had that duck as a kid, and I think I still do somewhere.  I swear he came with my Lullaby Nursery, like a rubber ducky for the bath, but he's hard plastic.

I'm really pulling for you, as Mr. Skeen brought home a sickly scrawny mini rose about 2 years ago.  Poor thing was never watered (he kept it in his man room and forgot about it in the window) and he was so upset he may have killed it.  He gave it to me to nurse back to health and it looked more like a stick he'd put in a flower pot than an actual plant.  To humor him, I planted it in the garden, expecting it to never grow its leaves back, but I will be darned if that thing didn't EXPLODE with new foliage and blooms.  It seems really hardy - it bloomed up til our first hard freeze this year and is always one of the first plants out there to put on new leaves in spring.

Now I just wish I had planted it in a better spot.  I expected it to die/stay dead so I just planted it where it would be easy for me to dig back up later.

The white of her eyes is paint, though, not vinyl, and not prone to yellowing.  I think your girl is discolored.

Is there any pet food you guys recommend, since there seem to be so many who use gross byproduct?

Canidae/Felidae, Natural Balance, Taste of the Wild, Wellness, Innova, Orijen

Just want to second Wellness :) My cats and dog eat that exclusively. Both dry and canned (for the kitties).

Do you know what stores carry it? Target only seemed to have Purina and Iams. Its so gross, I look at the food labels and the first ingredient on every one is corn meal or chicken by-product ><

Southern Agriculture carries it here, as well as Innova (I feed their EVO weight management to my cats), Canidae/Felidae, and Taste of the Wild.  Can't say I've noticed Orijen there, but I stopped buying from them about a year ago when my husband realized we could buy 2 bags of EVO cheaper online, including shipping, than at the store.

And now my cats LOVE the mailman.

Got my last pony in the mail yesterday so after a quick bath (mainly just to style the hair nicely) I can buy candy and ship it off!

2 points for yesterday!  I stayed on-plan food-wise and hauled boxes for 3 hours at work.  If it makes me sweaty and my arms achey, I call that exercise!

I'm not giving up any vices because my weight loss plan discourages "deprivation," but I have good news to report: I was on plan all weekend and did my DVD as scheduled, so 2 points for each day!  1 point for today because I'm going to bake and sew instead of work out tonight.

I PM'ed her on another board we both frequent to point her this way.  I hope everything is alright!

Radio Shack.  Mr. Skeen managed a local one a few years ago and the stories are not pretty.  He liked the work, and he liked the people, but he hated the company and its policies and the way it treated its employees.

That said, I will buy anything HP makes.  Every computer I have ever owned has been an HP and my decade-old college computer still runs like a dream.  I play older games on it to keep my newer HP freed up for more advanced games & such.  I also love my HP tablet.  I am never without that thing!

Oh!  And Cox Communications internet and cable.  Hate.  I had them for nearly a year and they never billed me correctly.  They always said I hadn't paid, when in fact I clearly always had.  The problem?  They were crediting MY payment to my parents' account because we have the same last name.  My parents would call and ask why their bill was so low and they'd never give an answer, and I'd BE called and asked why I hadn't paid AGAIN that month.  I turned my bank on them (I love you, Chase Bank), and they got me all kinds of refunds and special offers, but it happened again the following month so I dropped Cox for Dish Network and have never looked back.  I LOVE Dish!  It's gone out fewer times in bad storms than the cable did.

Lost another half pound last night at weigh-in!  All the shivering in this cold weather must be helping.  ;)
