Pony Corral / Re: Which pony do have lots of?
« on: September 27, 2017, 09:37:50 AM »
I rarely buy duplicates of ponies so I don't really have multiples of any pony. But I do have 20+ different Pinkie Pies.

If I were to find one for a decent price, I'd love to have one, regardless of who I get. But I think they're overpriced. They better be made very well for over $10.

Pony Corral / Re: Worst Restoration Mistake?
« on: September 27, 2017, 09:24:28 AM »
I'm yet another member of the "I destroyed a MM symbol club." Luckily my MM Windy doesn't look too bad, and I plan on restoring her symbol down the road.

My Party Time is a whole different story, though. I bought her in pretty bad shape, but when I was through with her, she became much, much worse. She originally had a chunk missing from her neck that was very visible, and after opening her, I found that her neck plug, while it was still in there, was completely detached. Naturally, I decided to glue it back on... With super glue. It dripped down onto her face and now she's got a patch of crusty glue on her head, and her neck doesn't look any better. She's for sure bait, and I plan on finding a replacement as soon as I have the money.

Decorating your pony shelves (or wherever you display your ponies) is always fun! I also find that reorganizing helps, as well.

Pony Corral / Re: New adult coloring My Little Pony coloring book
« on: August 10, 2017, 07:16:45 PM »
I just bought this last week, and coming from someone who normally gets bored with adult coloring books very quickly, I spent the majority of a two-day car ride coloring in the pictures. They are very beautiful and detailed, I just thought a couple were a little too simple.

Pony Corral / Re: The Ponyville Confidential book?
« on: August 10, 2017, 07:12:18 PM »
I bought the book not long after it came out, and it's actually a very interesting read. It covers all generations,  often comparing the older gens to G4. I was disappointed in how the author didn't  delve into the toys as much as the show, but that was my only complaint. (Aside from bronies being mentioned on every page.) I did learn a lot from it, especially information about G1.

I would definitely recommend buying the book and reading all of it. I had done plenty of research before reading the book and learned way much more than I thought  was possible.

Lots and lots of conditioner will help the greasy hair. For the body, a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or Dawn Dish soap should do the trick.

Pony Corral / Re: Need help fixing Gingerbread
« on: August 08, 2017, 07:26:55 AM »
I haven't tried this myself, but I've seen it so wonders for ponies who normally burn during sunfading. A hydrogen peroxide soak may possibly help Gingerbread, but I can't day for sure. I have seen it turn a dirty, brown Gingerbread back to white with almost no spots. Just be sure to cover the eyes and symbols just like normal sunfading.

Pony Corral / Re: Ponies on risers!
« on: August 08, 2017, 07:16:46 AM »
I actually use foam blocks for risers. I believe I paid $5 for a pack of 5-6 blocks and they work pretty well. I cut them down to fit my G4s better.

Pony Corral / Re: Tinsel or no Tinsel?
« on: August 08, 2017, 07:11:26 AM »
It depends on the quality of the tinsel. I normally love tinsel, but if it's been pulled too much and is generally just a big mess, it bothers me. I never de-tinsel a pony, though, even if the tinsel is gone beyond repair. Part of me just wants sparkly hair no matter what.

Off Topic / Re: Do you have a summer reading list?
« on: July 20, 2017, 05:29:22 PM »
I read a lot, but I've never actually made a list. I just kind of mentally decide what books I want to read in no particular order. This summer I've been trying to read the Percy Jackson books again.

As someone who stresses out a lot and can never concentrate in class, I first thought these were interesting. But then everyone in school had them, which became annoying, and after trying one out myself, I wasn't amused and it didn't seem to help me in any way. Maybe it's different for everyone and it does work for some people, but they aren't my thing.

I'm wanting to start collecting Care Bears, although I'm struggling with space issues. I'm already having to find creative ways to display my ponies!

I do have a somewhat impressive collection of Webkinz, though

Off Topic / Re: I'm late, I'm late! For a very important date!
« on: July 20, 2017, 05:20:49 PM »
Most of the time, I'm about 10-20 minutes early to wherever I need to be. However, whenever I'm going anywhere with my parents,  they'll wait long enough to leave that by the time we get there, we're late.

Pony Corral / Re: Hiding the fact that you're a brony in public.
« on: June 27, 2017, 08:33:54 AM »
I don't consider myself a brony at all, just a collector. But so far, I haven't really gotten any negative or strange comments about liking MLP. A Gamestop employee didn't care when my mom and I were curious about the Guardians of Harmony figurines behind the counter; he was actually pretty positive about it. A seller at a flea market even remembered me once time after I bought several ponies from him, and even gave me his contact info so he could let me know if he ever found something I might be interested in. Even when I wear shirts that say "Brohoof" I don't get any rude comments. I guess I'm pretty lucky.
