I'd not replace them so much as put them out on display while putting their predecessors into storage. And even then, that'd only be if the new ones looked significantly better than the old ones--which somehow I kind of suspect they wouldn't, especially if they have poofy straw tail syndrome like some of the other more recent ones I've picked up. (Sunset Shimmer? Lyrica? Muffin pony? I'm looking at you, girls.)
Much as I like the idea of dual-marked ponies, I tend to display them with only one flank showing anyway. So while I probably would buy versions with symbols on both sides, there probably wouldn't be a change of the guard as far as the display situation here goes.

Absolutely. I've hoped for a Twilight Velvet brushable ever since I got a hold of one of her blind bags.
And Night Light would bring not only a brushable boy but a brushable blue boy to this gen. Yes please.
(Sidebar on the latter note: brushable Noteworthy would also fall under the "yes please" category.)

Ha ha yep, I'm the one who bought Errorshy. She now has a very good home about eight hours south-by-southeast of here.  Were I to happen upon an upside-down Favorites Collection (or any other similarly hilarious MIB) myself, I'd probably send them down to be her inverted pals.

When I first started actually collecting, I was only really interested in the regular-size brushables, and even then in only one of each character. Then I saw the Rainbow Collection and oops, hello incurable fondness for blind bag sized ponies. And then my ability to resist buying the glimmer wings Rainbow Dash gave way, and with it my "only one brushable per character" policy.  I do still prioritize, though. Generally characters I already have in a format in which I already have them are low-priority unless they have some differentiating feature that I find noteworthy enough (e.g. tinsel or poseability).

I like the one I've got pretty well, and I like that the blind bag sized one appears to have a nice bit of the ol' swiss cheese effect going on. But I certainly wouldn't mind more, especially if they also have said effect. (And the fangs!)
A Funko version would on both counts, I suspect, so I'd probably end up pouncing on it first, heh.
